But if they were told all of those were by Shakespeare, they would have been like "wow, beautiful. How poetic". But honestly, I feel like they might not have really given evermore, folklore, or her other songs a proper listen. What really sets Taylor apart, in my opinion, is her incredible range as a songwriter. One of the reasons TS is so endearing is that sometimes her lyrics flail. "1950s gymnasium" "Hey kids spelling is fun" ""tattood golden retriever" lol. Even her prnounciation isnt always clear like "thousand donuts" and "lonely starbucks lover". But I think that shows her authenticity. How she writes and performs from her heart. Its rawness is charming.
