Great tutorial!! My edge brush stopped working. I took it apart and cleaned out some cat hair that had worked into the gears, and it's working great. Thanx!!
Hiya, thanks for the video on the side brush, I tried everything you said, all looked good inside clean shafts touching but it still doesn't spin. Any other suggestions to get the side brush moving? could I need more lube? or could motor be gone even though it looks brand new, got it 5mths ago
thanks for the video, but I need replacement side brush gears. The screw broke off so I need to relace the gear that holds the screw for the side brush.. Do you know if they sell replacement parts ?
I got 'ANewPow' brand before for a family member that works well. Funny name but seem to be legit products. There are a few Australian online vendors around. Be sure to get lithium batteries for longest runtime.
No, it't too thin and will not lubricate properly. You need to use a plastic safe lithium grease so the plastic does not get damaged and the grease sticks where it is needed.
Thanks!

My ruumba is only 2 months old but my house is all Hardwood with 2 kids 😂......ty! The brush has hair in it lol
any opinion on the sidebrush with more than three brushes? In your experience does it make any difference?
Where can I get the special three sided mini screwdriver to take out that one small screw?
What's grease to you recommend using?
A plastic safe grease, white lithium grease is good.
I have a problem where the motor itself is not spinning. I don't know how to power it alone to make sure the motor itself works. Any hints?
Added to my Roomba overhaul to-do list :)
Any advice on sourcing replacement batteries online?
