Can’t believe some of the comments putting down the mustang. It’s an iconic car and started the pony car revolution. Also, Its one of the best if not the best bang for the buck performance cars out there with many aftermarket performance parts/mods.
I think this is the first time I have ever seen a GT S650 racing on UA-cam... Props AG!
Weight difference = no chance. The S550/650 platform has legendary top end, you can’t compete with them at that price point NA
The weight wasn’t the factor that made the merc lose, it was the aerodynamic

Honestly the new S650's are pretty beast, I'll admit it. I have a 15' C7 Z06 with FBO and E50 tune and raced an S650 and i was surprised he hung as close as he did. I still had a few car lengths on him but i Honestly thought i was gonna have like buses on him 😂 i thought i was gonna send him to the shadow realms lmao. If i ever race one that's boosted with a 10spd it will probably beat me for sure

I was surprised that Benz was ahead for as long as it was, considering it's the size of a small vessel and aerodynamics of a box truck 😂
Aerodynamcs are great for an SUV. The box truck is the G-class, not the GLE. Besides, the Merc is biturbo and 120 hp more, Mustang is n/a.
It’s a brick after 90mph the suv has zero chance with low end gearing and no aero properties

@@RthereNEusernames N/a vs turbo is overstated only by the blokes who do not understand thermodynamics and general mechanics. Forced induction engines display only advantages in terms of performance compared to n/a engines. As for the SUV, it has 1500 lbs more but it also has 120 hp more + forced induction, i.e. peak power and peak torque early in the rpm range and far more torque than the Mustang.
@@legioner9 nah. There are just far more important variables like total HP, weight, aero, tires, fuel, displacement. N/A delivers a more consistent delivery of power through the entirety of the powerband, turbo tapers off. There are definitely advantages to both.
The s650’s are very conservative with the OEM tune. Can’t wait for these things to be woken up

I always like stock v stock because it gives more meaningful results. Yeah 1k + hp is cool, but its always interesting to see how "out of the box" performance compares too.
The S650 factory tune is thee most restricted factory tune I've ever seen.
63S did really well! Something about a big, fast SUV makes me giddy. I would have rather seen a slower start on the second race though, since we already know the Mustang has the top end. Maybe like a 30 roll.

Mustang also has about 3940 lbs/470 hp not 480 and has about 8.4 lbs per hp vs GLE63 at 9.1 lbs per hp. GLE 63 is also not a legit AMG because its not built by 1 man in Affalterbach
It's the extra gear and 3.15 gears in the mustang. The weight of the Mercedes is a detriment.
That GLE is not making full power.. based on previous video of 60-130mph.. needs to be looked at.

Cmon man, why is this even a race? The ml63 has really low gears for it being an suv, if your gonna make it race it should be off the line! This race is like stealing candy from a baby!
A dig?! The mustang owner didn't want to do a 40 roll because he believed he would spin too much!! After these 2 races I convinced him just to do 1 pull with me from 40 just to see how it go. I knew it would be fine and it was!
On the first race it seemed like the Benz was m gaining ground at the end.
A 50 and 60 Roll in stock vehicles? 😂 was hoping for a 30 or 40 roll the 2nd race. Neither vehicle spinning in 2nd gear slow it down some in these lower hp cars. Just my .02
Mustang owner didn't want to do 40 roll. He was so convinced he would spin.

I am glad the Mustang won. It has a great engine, and it is n/a. Unlike the Mercedes which has 120 hp more but it also is biturbo.

As a Texan that GLE is the ultimate Texas roadtrip mobile. You can fit tons of gear in it and your passengers will be happy and extremely comfortable. S650 is badass too. Awesome stock vs stock race 🔥👍🏻
