(Voiceover) The following is a Monthly Review video that shows a series of pictures highlighting Disability Network Eastern Michigan’s activities and events which occurred during the month of January 2024.
On January 9, a therapeutic drumming class took place at our Troy office. A series of photos and videos are shown of participants playing percussion instruments. A few instruments played included bongos, tongue drums, and tambourines.
An Inclusive Art class also took place on January 9. DNEM consumers are shown crafting and sculpting clay figures.
On January 18, Carrie facilitated a Virtual Cooking Club on Zoom. Two pictures are shown of a meal being prepped on a table by Carrie. The table is cluttered with cooking instructions, food ingredients, and kitchen utensils but none of this mattered. The meal was absolutely delicious.
A series of photos are shown of DNEM staff working last month. Jeffrey is shown sitting in front of his computer monitors which display images of error messages. He looks very frustrated.
Jeffrey is our assistive technology specialist but when technical issues arise with computers, Angela comes to the rescue. No computer errors or malfunctions actually occurred.
Two new staff joined our team in January. Please give a warm welcome to Dylan and Jackie. Dylan and Jackie are both working as Family Support Advocates here at DNEM.
