I got top surgery yesterday (18th September) and videoed the process for you so if you're looking at getting top surgery yourself, or if you want to support a friend/partner/family member then you know what to expect! I'm genderfluid myself, and want top surgery as well, but don't know if I'll ever be able to get it. Hey Ez!! I've had a journey finding my gender expression, what pronouns I'd like to use and all that comes with it, you've been one of the only creators that I've been able to rely on just by watching your videos.
After literal years of trial and error with pronouns, (from she/they, to she/her, to any, any *he they preferred*) I finally feel comfortable about the pronouns I would like to use, and that I don't always have to dress masculine, to still have masculine pronouns.
Next week I'll be doing the first step of my social transition!! I'm getting my masc haircut!!

@@Mel-wn9gb Yes, because it's what gives me gender euphoria. I know for a fact you are not educated in gender dysphoria, or being trans. A trans man can have a feminine haircut, but he feels euphoric about it because it makes him feel masculine, outlining the jawline, giving the illusion of broader shoulders.
Yes, it is sex stereotyping, but I don't believe that someone getting a haircut that makes them feel good about their gender is wrong in any kind of way

@@chantellethecool1 so fun thing actually, I'm in therapy, and my discomfort surrounding my assigned sex has been one of the main topics discussed, and I've been supported in my view on who I am, so yeah, what are you gonna tell me to do next, go to different therapists until they tell me what YOU want them to? I'm not confused, in fact the only thing I'm confused about is how you're so bothered about other people living their lives in a way that affects you in no way shape or form. Less than 1% of people (0.3% I believe is the exact number) regret transitioning or detransition and the primary reason this is is because of OUTSIDE INFLUENCES. The main reasons people regret it are people like you, if you were to keep your mouth shut and let us live that number would be way smaller. Your view on what is "harmful" to us is almost entirely irrelevant, go away.
Best course of action I'd say go with flow for now and get comfy in your existence first. Cause that first year or so is kinda like puberty,you're relearning a whole lot about yourself. Secondly, while you're in that phase. Test out things like packers,binders,and other things. Cause it's safer to make sure you know who you are before you make a choice for a person you don't fully understand. Your existence is valid and wonderful. Just make sure to do your research and give yourself time to grow.

It compresses like a bandage for healing
It’s just to prevent complications, helps the scars heal right and compresses it for like bleeding and buildup

I am not trans, but I've always been uncomfortable with my boobs. I don't have big ones or anything but wearing bras are uncomfortable and I hate to wear them. The thought of people seeing my boobs not in bra is genuinely anxiety inducing. The thought of wearing a binder seems so uncomfortable and hot. I think I have some bigger questions to ask myself regarding them.
you could use trans tape and other stuff like that if binders are too uncomfortable. plus winter is coming so you can wear bigger clothes to hide your chest.
you really should look into it but whatever the outcome is just remember that you are still loved 🫶🏽

There is trans tape, which I think you should look into, but be careful is you have sensitive skin, as the adhesive can cause issues if you do

and yeah some surgeons do surgery on 17 year olds but it’s with sooooo much therapy and psychological testing beforehand. it’s to save their life 👍🏻

I was also really scared when I had my first surgery done! It was a gallbladder removal. But having the right surgical team makes all so much better. I was at ease and so at peace because of how kind they were. I’m so happy everything went well!!!
Absolutely, the team is everything, especially for the aftercare. I had my first surgery when I was still in paeds, and the nurses were EVERYTHING

So I was given fentanyl when I was at the ER for gastroparesis, because all other pain medicines would make my Gastroparesis worse. I was scared of it because of everything you hear on the news, but it’s definitely not the same when a professional, and a safe environment, does it. It was just so funny cause I remember laying there thinking “I don’t feel a thing this stuff sucks why would anybody want to use this”. Then I woke up three hours later in a pool of my own saliva. Not my fav…

I would recommend finding a massage therapist who specializes in post surgery massage techniques. I wasnt told how tight the surgery would make your muscles in the surrounding area and had such bad muscle pain even two years post op. Its 10000% worth it!
