I've been running Anakee wilds for about two years and my only "complaint" is durability as the rear one goes out faster as it's go knobs. It happens to all tires though and for bing a true 50-50 tire I think durability is fine. Great grip in wet, mud, sand, anything you throw at it. Michelin Knailed it.
Unbelievable testing of the very capable 500X, I am considering getting my first adv and commuter. About 20$ monthly difference between this and the MT07, tough choice, i think commuting with a windscreen will be the smarter choice, better mileage, and cheaper tires.
I’ve been looking at a more off road focused tyre and this was in my list. Was concerned about fitting a 170 as it may hit the chain guard and I don’t want to remove it so 150 it is. Great video guys, lots of different terrain. Couple of question though, does that tyre mess with speedometer accuracy and if so by how much? How does the handling of the bike change at higher speeds? Thanks
Gracias por el vídeo. Me gusta vuestro contenido.
Muchas gracias.
On my KTM 990@, the Tyre didn't perform well. Lasted only about 4500km. If driven in gnarly stuff, the knobs wear out fast. Onroad it's very loud and the front tyre is not willing to turn at low speed. Nevertheless, grip is good on and offroad.
@@Adventurebikeridersgib that is quite decent for 50/50 tyres, may I ask what terrain, was it mainly used for? Also the milages compare to the Pirrelli STR
How did your tires on your 650 compare to the Wilds on the 500x? This is a very similar comparison to my wife and I. I am on a G660gs with Shinko 705s. Shes looking at a 500x. Im looking for more aggressive tires, and want good ones for her too.
@@Adventurebikeridersgib well, we will be riding in Puerto Rico for the next two years. Guess we will have to wait and see what the roads look like. Thanks for the reply!
Well that was interesting! 2 questions: Are the Anakee Wild's especially noisy on the highway? - and - after watching the Honda fight it's way through that mud, how in the heck did you get your bike through there?!! I'd love to see that lol.
Hi DB Miller, firstly thank you for watching my video, i got stuck in the pit 🤣🤣🤣 i will be posting a video soon about that day on which i will show myself stuck. Talk to my mate about the noise, and he said it slightly louder than the road tyres, but they are fine keeping at a reasonable speed ! 👊
@Ivan Tokic yeah thats right, he had to put a different size, i think it was the 170 he installed, as soon as he answers back to me, i shall let yo know

It's my pleasure, i am really glad you have enjoyed it !! You just made my day, thanks!!

Thank you so much, Misha. Nothing beats an adventure bike, so versatile!!
I like them very aesthetically but I use the bike in the city.Do you recommend them equally as stability?
If you just use the bike in the city, then i recommend you fit road tyres. But if you do some offroading, then definitely go for them 👊

Hi Neil, I'm not sure about speddo accuaracy, but they do vibrate slightly after 170 kms
Every tire, and every machine for that matter, has its limits.
Good review! Thanks!
Thanks for watching!
They look cool that's for sure
Have them on my TA600, very good in terrain, sand, mud, gravel, on tarmac i've got vibration ~80-90 km/h, but tyre grip is still good

Thanks for the review. Can I ask how many km/miles you get from the rear anakee wild, if riding it 50/50?
Around 10,000 to 15,000 kms mate.

Must say thay on offroad the wilds go much better as they are slightly more aggressive, on the road by far the Pirelli go much better!
