    If some Koreans talk to you, they might just want to greet global people in English.
    When I was a child, I said to someone 'Hello', and then the man smiled for me. It was a very good memory to me :)

    I experienced both in France and Korea where random people help me with my big luggage. In France, one old man helped me with my big luggage down from the airport bus in Paris Montparnasse and in Korea one guy helped carry my bag in metro staircase. I dont even have a chance to say thank you..coz he gone in a blink of eye.
    And it is sooo trueee that there are so many lovey dovey couple in korea. I went to see the cherry blossom with my sister and friends. Couples are everywhere and we started to joke with each other saying 'why do i even go to this place with you girls'. Never felt sooo single in my life hahahahahaja.

    It’s so interesting to think about what people perceive as normal or not. Because in America my current semester tuition at a public university is almost $10,000 with scholarships so 5,000 to me is quite cheap but compared to the girl from France I see how it can be different. In America things tend to vary independently by state almost. So sometimes things are accessible while in other places they aren’t

    I’m British. No idea what she’s talking about at 5:33 maybe she worded it wrong? Or it’s not the whole of Europe and just her country but in wales and England. that would be considered cheating if you were dating. Unless they both decided to have a open relationship but that is extremely rare.

    • @user-bn8tk4md6b
      @user-bn8tk4md6b Рік тому +1

      No she means that typically you would date someone a few times and get to know them before becoming "exclusive" and "in a relationship." But it's very different in Korea because there is no "dating" phase. You become exclusive bf/gf first and then get to know each other. Thats why you can hear people saying here that there are so many couples in Korea... and generally relationships don't last long just because to them a "relationship" isn't necessarily deciding to commit long term but deciding they like each other and want to go on a few dates and see what's up

    I used to be on Japanese based church here in Portugal and things were different to what we Westerners are used to . I remember we had Ikebana classes and we’re told to place a little towel under the scissors so that you won’t disturb the person next to you with the noise. And we learned ( At least few of us. i said few of us because things took a bad turn) to value even the little things in life . Besides, i can't have vaccines when I was a baby , my doctor advised my mother to not let them vaccinate me due to my medical histoy. so when i was 14, my mom spoke of a trip to Japan and that people that wore face masks. so starting wearing it. and since then it's been my only protection. of course because of that i faced prejudice here in the West. Well, it’s 2022 now and nobody is laughing now well, few still do but most don’t laugh anymore at me.
    Anyway, we Westerners need to learn from Asians. i only mentioned japan because i was talking about my own experience and at the time, i didn’t know anything about Korea. . So please don’t come at me. . I think maybe South Korea would be more accepting of foreigners if some ( if not all) would do a research on Korean culture and try to understand it before going to Korea . i’m not trying to trigger anyone. i’m just saying it so that the shock would be less…. shocking , if you understand what I mean.

    • @unka2007
      @unka2007 Рік тому

      Not for wearing masks. I do believe in getting the immunity healthy. Because that’s what fights off infection. Also people need to have manners how cough, sneeze, yawn without spreading their germs. Masks hides the face and I rather see it.
