How- their poor perfect fashion!! Of course they are a fake, a true Andrastian would respect Orlais and it’s rightful power over Ferelden! The Inquisitor and any lies about ‘Andraste’s Mabari’ should burn in the church of Tevinter.
This has to be my absolute favorite way to introduce a character. So well done. I was working on my fifth playthrough and didn't even notice him walking behind the group at 1:50, even though I sided with the Templars 3 other times. Well done, Bioware.
You can save lord Abernache by refusing to do the rituals. It's a little rude to Ser Barris, but it has a nice payoff as he apologizes for being a **** and joins the Inquisition as an agent. Later on you can assign chief Movran to Abernache and they become the ultimate diplomatic team.
Both paths are effective in showing EXACTLY how serious the consequences for failure will be for the inquisitor. For the mages it shows their friends slowly dying from red lyrium poisoning who tell of a strange 'Elder One' who has taken over the world when the inquisitor 'died' and reveals the plans through hindsight. And the templar path makes the inquisitor meet an envy demon who shows what it would be like once the inquisitor was possessed and in thrall to the Elder One and reveals the Elder One's plans before they happen.
love how Cole just vanishes and shows up out of nowhere during scenes, the perfect assassin, moving around like a ghost, ironically he actually is a spirit.
I thought Cole was this bard mage because of the way he talks and just the way he just appears and disappears but I was surprised to see him in the rogue class. He's such a nice lad. I just stopped thinking about what he was until Skyhold.
I better be prepared for my second play with Templars. Both Cole and Dorian have better appearances in this path. Somehow they fit. I think it is silly to have Cole unable to go trough simple door/gate in Mage version.
I think it makes sense that he can't enter, seeing as he is a spirit. In an old Wiccan (native European pre-christianity beliefs) windows and doors have purposes given to them by humans to keep things in and/or out and safe either way. Spirits are obliged to follow the mould(purpose) of the buildings and structures that humans creates for their own buildings as much as the same principles of being let into the mind (possessing) of an individual. Because your body is the house of your mind. Your house is the same for your being.
FoxBatinaHat That's pretty clever, but by that logic, wouldn't Cole be barred from entering someone's mind? Or does just having a look around not count?
21:00 In the beginning of the game Cassandra say that the templars "lost their ways" but here she disaproves when the Inquisitor end their order and recruit them to the Inquisiton? Wtf? 🤔
@@butitwasmedio lmao she doesn't ever want actual criticism or whatever. like, she'll say 'i need to do better' and i'll reply, 'we _do_ need to do better' and she disapproves, because she actually wants to hear you say that she's fine the way she is despite acting like she's ashamed. 😭
@AgirlnamedMichael Yeah, I can see why they did it, but also why you would like to help both. It does feel a little too binary, even for a game with so many stark choices.
Thats the only reason why I kinda like the templar mission xD Cole has there the best appearance while Dorian can do both x“D Nonetheless I’m more of a Mage preferrer ^^
Interesting, 'cause i cann't bring myself to side with Templars, i appreciate this. Honestly i like this introduction for Cole more, but beyond Alistair and Cullen. I largely hate the order. And one was pulled out before they became mage haters, and the other had to go through a LOT of shit.

Well I think I'll side with the Templars on my second play through. Or my third. I'm on my second, but I might start over again because I've already sided with the mages again.
The mage version is soooo much better. You get to see what happens if the Herald were to have been lost im time. Also, you get to see the side some of the characters will normally not show. Especially with Cassandra and Varric (does depend on dialogue choices).
I pity the good templars but....corruption in their ranks was too great so i went with mages. That look on the possible future of Thedas was worth it and the world needs a better solution for handling mages.
Forgive me, but this is my least favorite Inquisitor. I don't know why - I think it's his eyes. But thank you for the upload - I've been wondering about Cole.
Cole is odd, can't deny that. But in a good way. He's a very interesting character and gives a whole new perspective on spirits. Sera is also odd. I love them both.
To all those saying we didn't notice him with the group at 1:54, maybe we did and he just made us forget ;-)
the inquisitor actually had *ORLESIAN NOBLES* walk in the muddied path under slight Rains?!
Is there any further proof you need he was sent by Andraste herself?
How- their poor perfect fashion!! Of course they are a fake, a true Andrastian would respect Orlais and it’s rightful power over Ferelden! The Inquisitor and any lies about ‘Andraste’s Mabari’ should burn in the church of Tevinter.
I love that Cole was just sitting on the war table, totally invisible. I love him so much lmfao
At least that war table wasn't... sullied, by the acts of a certain relationship.
This has to be my absolute favorite way to introduce a character. So well done. I was working on my fifth playthrough and didn't even notice him walking behind the group at 1:50, even though I sided with the Templars 3 other times. Well done, Bioware.

Refuses to elaborate

Late comment...but ANDRASTE'S FLAMING KNICKERS!!

Not gonna lie, the first time I saw the demon Leliana slit Cullen's neck I had a heart attack
I like how Cole's hat hides his eyes, makes him look more mysterious that way
I may hate the Templars but Cole just poofing onto the war table and scaring the shit out of everyone ALMOST makes it worth it
11:35 for those who want to skip to Cole. God, Cole is just so cute, I love him so much haha. He's so... well, compassionate!
I thought Cole was this bard mage because of the way he talks and just the way he just appears and disappears but I was surprised to see him in the rogue class. He's such a nice lad. I just stopped thinking about what he was until Skyhold.

Yeah she's a bit schizophrenic in the game, same when you recruit the mages, she says she supports it, but it shows that she "Greatly Disapproves"
She "greatly approves" if you recruit the templars as allies, but chastises you for it later. "They're too corrupt to remain intact!"

Baby faced Lord Seeker. Love Cole though, but.. I think I prefer spending the extra time with Dorian with the Mage side~

I always side with mages over templars in each game, but this is making me reconsider. Cole makes siding with templars worthwhile, it seems.
@AgirlnamedMichael I caved and did two templar playthroughs. My heart is still with the mages, but it was nice to see it from the other side.

nah i prefer the templar version. seeing everything from the eyes of the envy demon controlling the inquisitor. fkn awesome
I prefer the mage one too
me too, I always liked that kind of drama that shows what happens if the hero fails to save the world!
this game is beautiful in high graphic
Huh, didn’t know Abernache was voiced by Henselt from the Witcher 2 .
And Ser Barris is Roche :)
Thanks for this video. I love Cole but I can't bring myself to side with the Templars.
I like this one, but I'm still siding with the mages. I don't like the Templars.
