Finally figured out what you mean by "the square". Lady & the Tramp used CinemaScope cameras, and Sleeping Beauty used 70mm Technirama cameras. Back before the internet, watching these films at home meant Lady/Tramp and Sleeping Beauty had black bars on the top and bottom, but all the others from that era looked normal. (Unless its was a VHS that used pan-and-scan.) Now the others have black bars on the left and right. It's just a formatting thing. None of this mattered when any of them were first released to theaters, because the screen you went to was either built square or built wide and your theater would get whatever films fit the screen.
The drawings in this one are extra sketchy because Disney decided to replace their inking crew with a less expensive method of xeroxing the drawings onto cels before they're painted. They realized after a few of these films that their animators needed a cleanup crew to polish down the sketchier lines ... which meant that xerox as a money-saver was pointless, and after Little Mermaid, they switched to running the drawings through computerized paint/camera.
I also find that things like plot and pacing in 101 Dalmatians are different compared to earlier. Instead of having a team write the story, they gave the whole job to one guy (Bill Peet) because he wrote the climax of Sleeping Beauty and proved he was good with action and suspense. But the success of 101 Dalmatians gave him a bigger ego, and after some fights with Walt a few years later, he left the studio and made a career as a children's book author.
And yes, all them puppies are unbearably cute.

Bill Peet, who was the film's sole screenwriter/storyboard artist, retained the scene where Pongo and Perdita exchanged wedding vows in unison with their respective owners, Roger and Anita, to which the censor board feared that the scene would offend religious audiences if the dogs repeated the exact same words of a solemn religious ceremony. Therefore the scene was reworked to be not as religious with Roger and Anita wearing formal clothes.

I had a welsh corgi Pembroke it wasn't a good experience. I'm not at all good with pets. Too much work for me. Plus, I'm too Squamish to pick up its crap. Dalmatians are cute, but in reality, like any other dog, there is too much responsibility. I prefer cats more, but I like dogs too. 101 Dalmatians, I remember liking this movie. But I don't think that it shows the reality of taking care of a dog. It's a lot of responsibility it takes a lot out of you. They just show the dogs and puppies being cute. But it doesn't really show you how much responsibility it really is. The dogs and puppies are cute, though I'm not denying that.
Marjorie Taylor Greene may be the worst for wearing that coat with fur to the state of the union and she looks like Cruella personal opinion
I'm really disappointed with the original dubbing of this film. Although the little dogs were voiced by children, something that unfortunately didn't happen here in my country, the voice actors looked DEAD! Cruella is a little less worse. Disney films in their original dubbing are usually perfect! But here in 101 Dalmatians, the voice actors seemed to be bored.
