    I love your recaps because instead of vilifying people for their missteps on national television, you both recognize that people are flawed and there are backstories, nuances and different perspectives. Your dialogue is interesting, intelligent and fun. Great job to both of you! ⭐️👍🏾

    I’m sorry as a Hispanic, I’m gonna strongly disagree with you guys about whether or not someone ethnicity has to do with them being racist or not. I come from a very deeply rooted, Hispanic family and I’m first generation American. Also, I lived in Nicaragua as a child. My mom literally came here through the border and I’m gonna tell you that being Hispanic does not mean that you can’t be racist if anything it has deeply rooted racism with it. They’ve members in my family, that I’ve been disowned for marrying people who are darker skin tones of Hispanic, or even black, so to say that someone’s ethnicity prevents them from being racist is very ignorant. Hispanics are extremely racist within their own ethnicity and to others. So I feel that her comparing her ethnicity to moral compass is Shortsighted and uneducated. I understand that people fear being labeled racist however, its better to say that people have their racial biases that should be repressed. The reason that I argue, this is because I remember as a child that one of my uncles told me that I had dirty blood because I was half white, so I think it’s disrespectful to Incorrectly correlate that being a minority means that you can’t be racist. I apologize for the rant, and I really do like your guys podcast. also speech to text makes it easy to rant. Thank you.

      Just to add, I think that saying that because of I am a minority, I can’t be racist. I find that statement to be a false equivalency…… The problem is is the valley is using a huge talking point without any deep understanding of the meaning of ethnicity and/ or history. These are things that I find extremely important because my family moved here due to communism. OK now my rant is over. Thank you.

    It’s actually very sadly common for one minority to be prejudice against other minorities. It’s a segregation among POC of sorts. It’s important for people to know who they align with, because morally this is an important topic. And if the person is a minority, that is aligning with bigotry, we as an audience would need to know that.

  • @jadechaya9025
    @jadechaya9025 7 місяців тому +25

    I know this whole topic is tricky, but other minorities can be racist towards black people. I’m not saying Michelle is, but someone being a minority themselves esp if they’re as white-adjacent as Michelle is that doesn’t immediately make it null and void

    Kristin is crazy, but we have never known her to be a liar. I believe that everything she said was actually said and implied. She's also smart. I don't think she would have said it if she didn't partially believed it to be true of Michelle.

    After hearing parts of Faith’s lawsuit against VPR/ Bravo, I’m seriously side eyeing Kristen, Stassi, Jax, AND Brittany & most importantly- Lala aka Lowlow. Other than those degenerates, I’m here for the show!

    A life coach is like a Tony Robbins type person. No degree or education required.

    The life coach vs therapist point is very legit. Thank you for bringing that up.

  • @hollyedwards6066
    @hollyedwards6066 7 місяців тому +1

    A therapist has - at minimum - a masters degree and thousands of hours of supervised work with clients that is required by their licensing board. There are written codes of ethics and strong governance. Anyone can call themselves a life coach. No written codes of ethics. No governance. No licenses. No means of professional consequences when they harm someone.

    Therapy focuses on mental health; life coaching focuses on goals. The major difference between therapy and life coaching is the focus of the work: therapy focuses on mental health and emotional healing, while life coaching focuses on setting and achieving goals.

    I once had a therapist who transitioned into being a life coach. I continued to call her my therapist, but she would always correct me that she was a life coach, not a therapist. I think it's a licensing thing? Less regulation for life coaches.

    First I’m surprised I actually like your recaps of this show I’ll never watch. So, 🙏🏽🤣 for great analysis. Anyone expecting a Jax, Brittany and Kristen show to not be problematic is delulu as the kids say. Racist undertones, complete ineptitude leading to accidental nuggets of reality show scenes? Yes, yes and yes. I’m staying in the BravBros recaps for ever. Bahyee

    Just so people know, being part of a minority group or from a specific community yourself does NOT mean you cannot be “racist”. Anyone can be insensitive or have a blind spot, and often I experience it from members of the Hispanic community, Asian community, Arabs etc. And I have myself been made aware of comments and behavior that was prejudice towards others. Michelle doesn’t get a blank slate for being half this and half that. Sorry for the speech, but just get over yourself Michelle!

    Life coaches and therapists are absolutely different. Any individual that is credentialed to be a therapist would never call themselves a life coach. Therapists are credentialed via a counseling degree and certification. Life coaches are typically people who claim to specialize in developing capacities in people via their own experience and/or backgrounds.

  • @ldpsvede
    @ldpsvede 7 місяців тому +2

    Therapists should have a degree in Psychology, are licensed by the state in which they practice, and they focus on mental health and emotional healing. Life coaching is goal oriented and focuses on setting and achieving goals. For marriage counseling they’d probably be best served by a licensed family and marriage therapist not a life coach. The majority of life coaches are not licensed therapists or counselors.

    Cont: coaches still have to abide by ethics, however depending on the coach it can be gentler or really hard core, but they can’t do therapeutic psycho education because they don’t have the education. But they can focus on life and coping skills.

    I think the reason Kristen brought up the racist comment was so she could talknabout how deeply her scandal affected her and how much she suffered because of it. I think it was a move to gain the audience's sympathy.

    I’m from LA and I personally have never seen a life coach, but I have seen a therapist. I don’t understand the appeal - but I think the title of life coach is more disarming than therapist. Who knows! There’s a lot of La shit I don’t understand 😂

    The antics of Kristen and Jax are so dated and not fun to watch when they are over 40. I see zero grow in these 2. I'm enjoying the new people and hoping the oldies don't ruin the show. If Jax and Kristen displayed some growth like Craig from Southern Charm, then I would be open. If these 2 continue with 10 year old VPR playbook, I'm out.
