- So my new plan is to compare the BIOS that came on the card, that being the F2 BIOS with the NEW F3 BIOS. I’m going to be using AMDVBFlash to flash the BIOS. I downloaded my BIOS from the Gigabyte website.
I recommend to first save a copy of the current BIOS that's on the card
so you can go back to it, if you need to, and installing the new BIOS is really simple.

I hope the next generation of GPUs will finally deal with a few of these issues I think they need a massive overhaul on the software side to really compete with Nvidia
They need to do something, the thing is Nvidia has barely changed there software in YEARS, and yes it works so much better.
@@HardwareForGamers Two years later I just bought this card, and am having issues where it wont boot into windows on the first try. i may give a bios update a go thanks again hope the last couple years have been aright lol

If someone does not have dual bios button which is important for flashing just overclock the card with MSI Afterburner to the new bios frequencies and there you go.Like it is the same will you overclock it or install bios which allows you to do it faster(simply changing between silent default and OC modes).
sorry but did you watch the video? because I went over trying to manually overclock the card.
@@HardwareForGamers I didn't see that you can update it with the software if the button is missing.But overclocking is still the same as bios update tested it and it's the same.
Can you please make a video about overclocking with this new BIOS?
the new BIOS is pushing the GPU and memory to there max so you wont get much of a manual overclock after.

I also get flickering when trying to OC. It's annyoing. But it doesn't do that in game. So it's ok i guess.

Hi! My 5600 xt is underperforming, and it's driving me insane. Have you had similar issues with it? I have the same Gigabyte Gaming OC version as you do, paired with R5 3600x @4.5Ghz, 16gb @3200Mhz. Could I ask you to benchmark your 5600 XT in Apex Legends? The way I see it, you could choose a map, load in without teammates and follow a specific route around the map that anyone can reproduce and check their performance against yours.
Reinstalling it now but I only have a 2600.
@@HardwareForGamers That's even better. My gf plays Apex on a 2600x + GTX 1060 6gb and her frames are only marginally better than mine. Same RAM setup, same game settings, Windows version, everything, just a different CPU+MB+GPU. It's really driving me nuts, and if you look up /r/AMDhelp for threads on issues with 5600xt you'll find that tons of people have this issue too (low utilisation, low power draw and lower FPS as a result).
Small channels like yours explode when they correctly identify what the people want and produce content to satisfy this seemingly niche demand.

nice video sir. does the new bios solve stability problem? i have same gpu as you but that mf crashs constantly and turns me a madman. I am not a overclock enthuasist, I just want some proper gameplay. do you have some advise for me?
I've had no stability issues since uninstalling the Gigabyte software and using only the AMD software. Do you know what BIOS version you have??
@@HardwareForGamers my bios version is f2. I only use radeon software. aorus engine causes blue screen for me.

Just got rx 5600xt and i cant even see bios screen, black screen from the start. I tryed jumping cmos and it turn, but started randomly restartning few times while i was updating windows and boom again now nothing works.
did you use DDU to remove the old GPU drivers before installing the new GPU?
@@HardwareForGamers Mistakes were made. It was all new rig everything seemd in order but id get no signal/blk sceen. I dont have spare parts to test so i gave it to repair shop to see if i fucked up and it looks like he used nvidia card to boot it/install w10.
Im borrowing friends GPU to do DDU wipe/install next. Hopefully that will do the trick.

I tried and at first i almost bricked it because i had programs "running" when i tried updating bios. To fix the no display i plugged in a second card and download the old vbios hoping it would go to the 5600xt. This worked, but now my card wont boot once in a while and if i try using the new bios itll crash my pc in games. Prolly nothing i can do i iust wish mine came with the newer bios.

@@HardwareForGamers i don't know what bios the card originally came with but it was the one shipped with the forst batch of cards. I tried updating to the FA0 because i heard thats what made it a 2060 super competitor. The FA0 isnt on the gigabyte page anymore for some reason. Anyway that caused black screens and pc shutdowns so i went to the F2 bios which clocked the speed back down. Thats the bios im using rn and my pc wont fully boot sometimes.
the F2 BIOS was now my card before I flashed to the F3 BIOS, but I never had any issues. before or after. the only time I had issues what when I tried to manually overclock the card.
AMDVBFLASH is no longer working :(
so to uninstall the drivers i have to install the factory reset in amd software installer exactly what you did on the screen
Yes, that will uninstall and then install the drivers with "updated" settings. AMD's software is pretty weak.

@@nathanaguilar9642I assume you have up to date drivers, you can check the website and see if there are new drivers, but you can still do it all at once.

It was a lot easier and faster than I thought it would be. There is the danger of if your system crashes or power goes out while flashing the BIOS bad things will happen. ie killing the card.
Would this bios make the card more stable?
it could, it depends on what BIOS is on the card.

Do you know what BIOS is on the card?? Because that should help indicate what BIOS to download.

@@Goku20203134 no, you need to download the program AMDvbFlash. Like I show in the video. There's a link to it in the description of the video.
In the description to the right it says which one you need, F3 For F1-F2 BIOS Flash, F61 For F60 BIOS Flash and FA1 For FA0 BIOS Flash

184 error is something about your Operating System Is Not Supported.

@@mazlulkarim2060 the 182 error code is saying that the OS is not supported, in what why I'm not sure. It might be as easy as updating it, or it might not be. Try updating it and see what happens.

@@Froopiland bro dont update it I saw in Google our cards are already updated even on the box it says 14gb memory clock and 1750mhz so we dont need to do this
