    Not exactly a "climbing term" per-se, but I always find it fascinating the words people in different countries shout as encouragement!

    Great video... lots of great info! Not sure about "Dead Point" though... I understood it meant 'the highest point of a dynamic movement', not 'the highest point you can reach'. It basically means that if you pull yourself into the wall, you're kinda hanging there at the peak of the movement for a second before you start to fall back... and that gives you enough time to make the move you need to make - it isn't necessarily at full stretch.

      Thanks. Hmm, I understand deadpoint to mean what you said. Maybe I didn’t explain it well. But I do think it would tend to be the furthest you could read - in a dynamic move though, no? In the video I link to, I take about a drill which works it, and get’s you used to this dynamic move, and learning how far you can ‘reach’ in a deadpoint move.

    How about the term ‘Just go up’…what exactly does that mean?
