I used these strategies for my sons when they went camping with school years ago. When I went to camp as a kid, we did the exact same thing lol. My mom was military so I literally traveled with every outfit + undergarments rolled tight and labeled with my initials (always a sock or random tee went missing). And I used the long army duffle that looks like an inflated tube lol, literally 10-12yo. Crazy! That skill comes in handy when you got a weekend carryon & need everything to fit tho!

2:05 I use to write my sons name on each item with a sharpie so even down to the sunscreen, there was no denying whose it was. ❤

Skin So Soft by Avon works really well for bug spray! I even use it for my horse. Beware…it’s perfumey😂
Even if you're just packing for your own vacation it is a great packing video... that is the most organized suitcase I have EVER seen 😮!!
I do similar but haven't committed to buying enough packing cubes so still use ziplocs for much of the packing.
I better go check Prime sales for more packing cubes, lol.

I make my own bug spray and it works great. Pepper mint oil, lavender oil, tea tree oil and water. Equal amounts of each in a pray bottle. Shake and spray. Safe and I love it. Love your videos and your family.
Both my kids go to camp, not a special needs one but I love those bags, I try to organize for them as much as I can, but those bags would be great!

i have autism and nvld so this was very informative for me.
Almost all of my clothes are with elastic waist pull on because I have dexterity problems too. I can do snaps but not buttons unless I have more time.

Yes, she has pulled all nighters at camp as well as on vacation.

Bermuda shorts. IF I wear shorts (I'm cold natured so I rarely do) Bermuda shorts are the jam.
I only did Girl Scout camp and church camp but it was never for an entire week maybe just a few days. I never sent my boys to camp at all.
I remember going to camp It was a camp for the hanidapped in my area it lasted 2 weeks

Shucks I’m going to use this for my son. He’s starting to venture out (he’s an at home introvert) and certified germaphobe it gives him ANXIETY to have to stay away from me/home. I’ll use these ideas to ease his stress
If you can find someone that sells Avon, skin so soft is the best for keeping mosquitoes off, I even put it in a spray bottle to spray my dog! It can be the Skin So Soft oil or lotion, they both work!

I wanted to be a buddy this year. But, I found out that to be one you are in HS and I am in college. So, I didn’t know what to do because I also couldn’t be staff because you need like a year or two of a being a buddy. I will have to try again.
When my girls went to camp I would put an outfit in large zip bags from the grocery. Every now and then they tell me how much they liked it when I would pack their whole outfits for camp .... and ask me to pack for them when they go on vacation. Not !!!!!

There’s a camper that is in his? 80s I’ can’t remember if Isaiah said he or she.
How does it work with Isaiah’s job to take the time off to be the director?
Being the director is his job. He works full time in a salary position for Catholic Charities

You just pack more outfits. Abbie has 8 outfits for 6 days and we also pack a few extra shorts and shirts.
