I've been struggling with anxiety and depression (like a lot of people) and there are days I just want to lay in bed and do nothing. You guys have helped me with it. Showing how everyone hits a rough patch, and that just because theres a bad moment in the day doesnt mean the day is ruined.

I've been working with a student for 4 years and she too is nonverbal. The moment she typed a sentence on her device I cried (happy tears). The connections that Abbie is making are huge. Continue to promote that and show her how proud that makes you feel! Y'all are AMAZING!

I so relate with what you said about Abigail! 💗 As someone with Atypical Autism, whenever I'm having a bad day/ or time, sometimes I get that overwhelmed that I cannot talk, otherwise known as Selective Mutism, it's like my brain has to complete this process before I am able to speak again♡♡♡♡
Mum talks about how it can be difficult for her when I go quiet and cannot speak, but as hard as it is on her, it's much tougher on me as you literally feel trapped in your own mind. Being verbal is why it's hard for Mum to handle when I go mute, cos I can vocalize words/sentences everyday just fine, just the only time I can't speak is when I get so overwhelmingly upset, or experience extreme frustration.
So totally relate to the whole it being harder on the person with Autism thing, thanks for acknowledging that appreciate it :)💕 So wish neurotypicals could live in our mind for a day, experience our feelings this is me just being thoughtful, as it'd be nice and interesting to experience being neurotypical for a day if I could 😊♡♡ xo

Thanks for keeping it real Asa! I am autistic and also having a difficult sleeping period as well. It is not fun but i know it will pass. I cant imagine not being able to verbally say whats going on with me even in a small way. I imagine Abbie can sometimes get frustrated. Thankyou for bringing more awareness to autism!

When you spell bath she said no go lol. My daughter was reading before we realized what was Happening because we spelled things 😂... The ending had me in tears... Because the week we had last week was made OK by the mail my son left me. He doesn't understand or express love or caring so when my finger snapped I think it was a breakthrough for us all... And it hit me he has no clue when he is on a mission. His mind is going crazy and he is fighting that impulse then his emotions and hormones all kick in and I really think he becomes more scared... We all got used to riding easy then bam brick wall... There are always downs for the ups and ups for the downs we call it the roller coaster of life and sometimes one can last longer then the other. The vlog have helped my family so much because I can insert one of my children in her shoes at any point and see the light on the other side because of what y'all share. Love and support from us to y'all

It’s real life Asa! My daughter is on the spectrum and used to pull her hair when she couldn’t get a math problem, or cleaning her room, and had to read out loud after several years working with her tracking words. It’s ALL ok. It took her twice as long as “normal” to get it, but I am so very proud she got her bachelors in clinical psychology! Time doesn’t matter.....Love DOES. Love u guys! 💕

My daughter sometimes stays up late sometimes but our issue is staying asleep. She may crash at like 9/9:30 but wakes up anytime between 12-3 n stays up most of the time til the next night. Sometimes she'll wake up at 1 or 2 n fall back asleep between 5-6 then I have to get her up by 8 to start school at 9. I love how Cilla was like "don't be one of those people-if u are one of those people that's ok-it's just not my thing." Lol.
I applaud you choosing Abigail being Abigail over medicating her to make your lives "easier". Parenting at its finest 🙌

There are medications that help with just sleep, that won't hinder or affect her personality. You guys do great with helping her catch up but *just my opinion* it's not healthy for behavior or health long term. Proper sleep patterns are so important for brain/body balance. It would be a mess if you guys were working full time for someone else and Ab had to get up every morning for school or what not. Certain medications may help with certain behaviors as well. Right now you guys have a lifestyle that allows for certain behaviors to continue/be acceptable that may not be in her best interest long term
Leaving the reality in and how y'all bounce back helps us fellow parents stay positive. It lets us know we aren't alone. Remember many of your viewers have the exact same struggles you guys have. We are all in this together. I have found that the only people that truly understand my life with 2 boys on opposite ends of the spectrum are other parents. And only other parents. Asa you are helping us all by keeping it real. Parents are all in this together!💙💙💙💙
I don't have anyone on my life who have autism but I come back every single day to learn more from your family. I found your channel about 2 months ago and now I'm addicted. It is so amazing watching videos and it just shocked me to see how far abbi has come.

I took ASL classes in college to help me to be able to communicate with non verbal campers at Camp Callahan a camp for kids and adults with special needs. I am a Camp Counselor there in the month of July. I use a sign name instead of spelling out my name

Medication in excessive amounts changes a persons personality, and you have to decide which is better; having your child be themselves, or making it easier for you. Sometimes that is a hard choice when things are bad.
had to make that call with my autistic sister rather put up with fits then have her running around in a zombie state.
First time posting. Congratulations Priscilla on your #1 in sales in the WORLD!! You guys both work hard. I admire you all, every single one of you including Summer. Oh and Asa is my nephew’s name. It’s a family name. When he was little I called him Ace or AceMan and to this day, he’s in his early 30s, he likes me to call him Ace or AceMan. Love to you all.

Congrads Cilla...i am a 65 year old women and i went back to college. Just made the deans list. I lost 120 lbs years ago and kept it off. I want to twach preschool children, maybe with disabilities.

That is soo awesome that Summer is taking ASL classes! I am studying to be an interpreter.
I have literally almost died twice in the last month because of serious kidney issues so life can be a huge challenge but there is always a silver lining to everything. no matter how hard it is. This sickness gave me the chance to teach my daughter some very important things and I am so thankful for the chance to teach her life lessons that are really big and important. Lessons she may not have learned any other way. Great vlog as always.
