Its taken me watching each of these tutorials multiple times over the last few months, but I went from not using data packs and basic commands to creating a complex temperature-tracking system involving scoreboards and predicates working together. It would not of been possible with out these videos and the amazing people in the legitermoose discord. thank yall so much
except for the fact that custom dimensions are going through a lot of changes right now with the caves and cliffs update and any video made now would be outdated within a few months time

Awesome, I've been thinking about making a force choke thing from Star Wars, and this is exactly what I need to store the coordinates of a player so they can't move in the air. I've looked at other execute store command tutorials but they're all so dull and monotone.
Video idea, pls read: hey, I would love to share something with u. If u go to settings, then controls, and change the placing block button to any letter in ur keyboard, u begin placing blocks stupidly fast. There are some crazy features behind that. Its not a constant thing (I think), and it has to be the last button on the keyboard to be pressed. I would love to see a video of Legitimoose explaining that.
Your tutorials are so helpful it really helped a lot to develop my datapack. But I'm currently struggling on storing a player's Rotation into a fireball, so that the fireball goes into the direction the player is facing
im too stupid to remember this, so i just decided to rewatch this so i can maybe continue on my misc datapack? (MAAAYBE?) Just gotta say, i really love the style. Fast, but not so fast that i can't understand, and not so slow that i gotta speed it up.

I really appreciate the lookthrough of the command, but I think some more real-life examples would really help people understand how to use this in their own worlds. There are other videos that show exactly *how* to use it, and I only had to watch one extra video to figure it out, but I thought that there was a decent chance you’d read this, and maybe it might help. Honestly, I can't find any great in-depth explanations anywhere lol. It's not complicated though! It's just a place to store any random NBT tags you want, without being tied to a block or entity. Instead, you store the data in a namespace, and then can put tags in that namespace. If you've got any more specific questions, feel free to ask in my discord or in the r/minecraftcommands discord!
@@Legitimoose Actually, I managed to figure out some of it, enough to learn that I can't use /data to modify the player inventory. So I can't use Storage the way I was originally hoping. But I found a couple workarounds (too bad more commands can't use "from storage", /item replace would benefit). Thanks tho! ;)

hey legitimoose, so i was making a speed builders minigame, and im almost done, now i helped myself with your tutorial and heard that you said the exact thing i was looking for, now i have a problem, though typing /execute store result ... , it only stores 0 or 125 (max amount of points), i need your help, would you mind sending me the command in the repeating command block that was setting the scoreboard to the amount of matching blocks
Here's the shorter message: I was making a speed builders game, but i had a problem with checking the results, i need the command from the repeating comandblock that was setting the scoreboard to the amount of matching blocks.
I think I got that to work by putting it in _masked_ mode instead of _all_. The way it works is actually a bit unfortunate though. It will return 0 if there is even _one_ block in the wrong place. It only counts blocks that are placed correctly, so it's kind of difficult to use practically. Glad you've been enjoying the videos!
Hi! I was wondering if you could help me with a little project. I’m trying to breed a blue axolotl and I’d like to keep track of not only how many axolotl there are, but the colors as well. Now I tried using the variant data but it returned no results. Without variant data it says the cumulative number of axolotl. I also can’t figure out how to add that data into my scoreboard. (I think I’ve messed up the command blocks somehow.) Do you have any tips you could give me? I’ve been troubleshooting for a while with no success. You’d think having taken a coding class would help. XD
My idea is that you have a cost to unlock and use weapons and armor Wood Teir would not let you use Wooden tools and Leather Armor until you have 64 Sticks in inventory and 5 Levels of XP Stone Teir would not let you use Stone Tools and Chain Armor until you have 32 Stone in Inventory and 10 levels of XP Gold Teir would not let you use Gold Tools and Gold Armor until you have 1 Gold Block and 20 levels of XP Iron Teir would not let you use Iron Tools and Iron Armor until you have 2 Iron Blocks and 30 Levels of XP Diamond Teir would not let you use Diamond Tools and Diamond Armor until you have 1 Diamond Block and 50 Levels of XP Netherite Teir would not let you use Nether Tools and Netherite Armor until you have 1 Netherite Block and 100 Levels of XP You can't get to the next tier without completing the one below it. If you die your tiers are removed and you have to start over but it gets more costly Every dieth your Wood Sticks go up by 64 and plus one level of XP, Stone goes up by 32 and 2 Levels of Xp, Gold goes up by 1 Block and 3 levels more XP, Iron goes up 2 blocks and 4 more levels of XP, Diamond by one block and 5 more levels of XP, and Netherire 1 more block and 6 more levels of XP. When you unlock it takes the item and XP from your inventory. Tested out Using Slowness 255 and Mineing 255 to make this kind of work. Just have not done anything like this. I believe it's possible. THink at 27 Deaths would be capped cant hold any more Sticks at 27 Deaths would be 1792 Sticks.

if there's no other problematic entities outside that "square" you don't wann use then just use a square, else only count for entities wearing a certain tag of zone a
I don't actually! (at least not on purpose) I used to because I didn't know how OBS's color settings worked, but then I got them correct things look like they do in game. I could still have them wonky, so maybe it's _too_ saturated now? I think it looks about right though.

exactly, i've been using 2 commands for this for years (first setting the score to 0 and then every entity adding 1 to it)

I don't actually! (at least not on purpose) I used to because I didn't know how OBS's color settings worked, but then I got them correct things look like they do in game. I could still have them wonky, so maybe it's _too_ saturated now? I think it looks about right though.
