The porting process doesn't concern me as much as the biggest problem that has still yet to be addressed by some third-party studios... Will you optimize your game for Switch 2 and not just slap PS5 code on it like they did with Switch (PS4 code) and make minor adjustments like we constantly see. I'm more interested in the third-party games that will be built specifically for Nintendo Switch 2. What will they be able to pull off.
I see them not changing their ways. They have been doing this since the N64 days after the break up from Nin vs PS. They will only do it if Nin was to throw cash their way which they don't do unless they like the company.
Considering third party developers think they can make more money from the switch because of the shier amount of systems they think will sell. Most will probably build it ground up for the switch 2 or even design it for the switch 2 and make adjustments for the other consoles.
I think Switch 2 will be a lot more powerful than people are expecting. I also think people online are downplaying Switch 2's hardware because they are scared of a powerful Nintendo system. This ain't the same Nintendo 8-10 years ago.
People are definitely downplaying, but I also don't think we should overestimate either. Nintendo caters to the casual market as well, so they usually try to keep the price at a reasonable rate, so $400- $600 is probably the sweet spot. While some gamers are willing to pay $800 and even $1,000+ for a system or machine, the average Joe and little Timmy's parents aren't. For that price, nobody should be expecting a handheld system to have the specs of a ps5 or series X. Nor should we be expecting a 4k display screen, especially in handheld mode (which is pointless on a smaller screen anyway), and still have a battery life of over an hour or 2. Personally, I believe it's going to be around ps4 pro level if not just a little weaker.
@@Lazyguy143I understand keeping your expectations low to avoid disappointment but I would at least expect it to be better than the PS4 Pro. The only concern is how close is it to the Series S which would determine how easy/difficult it would be for 3rd Parties to port their games.

From the rumors and just logical expectations, this could potentially be the biggest launch and first year of third parties on a Nintendo system in a very long time. Sure it's going to be more ports than original games at first but it's going to be a very big deal to see some returning IPs as well as ones that have yet to be on Nintendo like Halo.
The Switch 2 has officially been revealed along with a new Mario Kart game. Rumours say the console will have a 9 in the launch title and that could be Mario Kart 9. It could launch with 48 tracks and no crossover characters and get DLC packs, adding crossover characters and double up the tracks to 96. It’s weird that the Blue Falcon is in the series but Captain Falcon isn’t. So why don’t they come in form of the DLC? I want them to ditch the metal characters, Cat Peach, Tanooki Mario, Peachette, the Blooper Item and Coin Item, make the Koopalings alts for Bowser Jr., the baby characters alt’s for each other, Dry Bowser an alt for Bowser, bring the Fake Item Box, Mega Mushroom, Pow Block, Super Leaf and the Ice Flower back, add commentary as the Arcade GP series has it, bring Mission Mode back as it was supposed to return in Wii and add Professor E. Gadd since he was going to be in DS, and by holiday we could get Super Mario Journey or Odyssey 2, a new Star Fox game, a new Wario Ware game, considering a 2-year gap between Get It Together and Move It. By March 2026, we could get a new 3D Kirby game, possibly a sequel to Forgotten Land. We could get to see playable Elfilin and Clawroline for the first time and they could bring back the Dream Palace Allies as well. Halfway through 2026, we could get Splatoon 4 and Pikmin 5, considering a 3-year gap between Pikmin 3 Deluxe and Pikmin 4, by September, we could get a new Zelda game, considering a 2-year gap between Breath of the Wild, Link’s Awakening remake and Skyward Sword HD, and by the end of the year, we could get Super Smash Bros. Legends and hopefully they’ll ditch World of Light, bring Subspace Emissary back and update the movesets of some characters. We could get Super Mario Maker 3, Luigi’s Mansion 4, Super Mario Galaxy 3 and a successor to Super Mario Party Jamboree by 2027 as it’s been 5 years since we had Super Mario Maker 2 and Luigi’s Mansion 3. They could add a Mario Wonder game style to Super Mario Maker 3 so 3D World isn’t just the extra game style and they could bring the Amiibo costumes and the Weird Mushroom back, for Luigi’s Mansion 4, the game could be in an Airbnb and we might get to see Luigi save Daisy for the first time in the series and for the successor to Jamboree, everyone from the previous Mario Party entries could return like how everyone returned for Smash Ultimate. We could also get a new Fire Emblem game, considering a 4-year gap between Three Houses and Engage, and Xenoblade 4, considering a 5 year gap between 2 and 3. By 2028, we could get a new Paper Mario game, considering a 4-year gap between The Origami King and the TTYD remake. I hope the console sells well and has 4K and 60 FPS. Nintendo missed the opportunity of naming it the "SUPER Nintendo Switch"... and why are all Handhelds getting bigger? I miss when handhelds were more portable friendly. Go too big and it defeats the purpose of making it easily portable. Nintendo has always been the company that thinks outside the box and separates themselves from the common competition. I believed PSP was ahead of its time. The screen on the Switch could be a touch screen offering game pad play similar to the Wii U but optional to use for a game. If the Switch runs out of battery during home gaming, you set it on charge and grab the joy cons that offer same features of the Wii controllers, if not more, along with being able to come together to form the usual switch controller we love today. AND THE FACT THAT THIS SWITCH 2 DOESN'T COME WITH AN OLED SCREEN??? ARE YOU KIDDING ME?? THE PS VITA HAD AN OLED SCREEN IN 2011!! 2025 and no OLED screen... That was swindled by C0V1D and chip shortage/shipping complications in ~'21; and I think Nintendo relented and gave the CONSOLation prize of an OLED vs performance upgrade. Switch2 IS NOT the "Switch Pro", and I'm waiting for the powered dock/SCD/cloud compute solution :)

Man Nintendo has failed before but I gotta be honest as long as they stay in their lane they don’t fail too often. GONE NINTENDO! Got me SUPER EXCITED. I was kinda excited for ps5 but they kind let me down. No offense PlayStation and Xbox I love you but you weren’t really worth mentioning.
20 - 30 FPS New Gen is coming 😂😂💀
hi OJ
Their not gonna make gta 6 or tekken 8 in switch 2 he'll no that thing can't handle that graphics nitendo switch 2 is not like the asus rog ally or x or msi claw handheld 😅😅
I don't buy Nintendo consoles to play third party games.
Nintendo switch two won’t be happening. It’s a scam.
If I can play every assassin's creed and red d3ad redemption 2...they can have my m0ney!
I honestly hope they keep those garbage games off of Switch. AC shadow - Garbage, Witcher 4 - Garbage, the devs threw out the lore to appease the modern audience, GTA 6(if it ever gets ported) - once again lowered the tone of jokes to appease the modern audience.
Neither of those two games have come out, how would you know they are not good?
@@danielsmith7247yeah weird angst…
Oh look. A Neckbeard in the wild.
@@danielsmith7247fax bro was acting like assassin’s. Creed has been mostly historically accurate. He probably hasn’t played Witcher 3 or at least never got the ending where Siri becomes a Witcher.😂😂😂😂
@@Aries73fr tho 😂
No one is buying woke slop from Rockstar and ubisoft
Well, people will buy Switch 2 to enjoy Nintendo exclusives, pc handheld would always better choice for 3rd party/porting purposes 🤷♂️
I and many people bought the Switch just for the 3rd party, many developing countries sells Switch for much cheaper than handheld PC.
@ well, I do own Switch, Steam Deck, Rog Ally X, PS4 pro, PS5 and I can confirm that outdated Switch hardware is the worst choice when it comes to 3rd party titles
pc handheld is not near popular as a dedicated device like Switch. Also, since it used by people who already own a PC on most cases and shares the same accounts for games, third party developers have zero profit on it. CD Projekt said they made money with Witcher 3 on Switch, so this fear mongering dont stick anymore.
Agree my switch is full with 3rd party games compare to 1st party, and i have gaming laptop too. Yes the graphic is worse, buts its wayyy more convenient and user- family friendly. Now that Switch 2 is more powerful its a no brainer to get them.
@@gilmarvenonsure, if you prefer to play 3rd party titles on outdated hardware with trash graphics and embarrassingly low frame rate that’s your choice then 🤗 I will stick with my pc handheld so games are at least playable 🙃
