Your journey and story is so beautiful, inspiring and courageous. Thank you for opening your heart, providing hope, and reminding us to live life to the fullest and it’s okay to take baby steps along the way.
Therese I am SO glad you shared your story - both the hard and the beautiful. And I'm so glad you're leading the way. I literally today had yet another therapist friend asking about how to travel long-term while seeing therapy clients and I referred to you as inspo! Also I may have suggested Lisbon as a place to travel to :)
Thank you for this video and for being so authentic. It's never easy to share something so deeply personal to the world, let alone something traumatic, but I absolutely adore your courage to talk about this important topic openly and honestly. It's inspiring to pursue our own fire the best that we can. Keep that fire alive, my friend! ❣ "Do everything to avoid regret." TRUTH.
Love this one! I’m so happy that I inspired you, and it’s been equally inspiring to watch your journey. I can’t wait to continue my travels with you very soon!!
Hi Therese! Your channel popped up in my feed. You might not remember me, but we went to Elementary, Middle, High School and college together! I lost my dad to suicide at a similar age, and it definitely changed the trajectory of my life. You described the complex grief perfectly. Ended up moving to a farm and becoming a homemaker and seeking peace and quiet for myself and my kids. Protecting their mental health is the #1 priority in my life. I wish you many blessings!
Thank you so much for sharing your story you really inspired me. I'm a certified Rapid Transformational Therapy and I just started my business and have no idea how to get virtual clients.
Hi Mickey, thanks so much for watching! Congrats on starting your business, that’s a huge accomplishment - I know how hard it is to start and try and get clients and I’m wishing you well on your journey!
Thank you for opening up and going this deep! 💖 You inspired me to make a bucket list! You honor your brothers life in such a beautiful way. I am sure he is very proud of you!
Don’t u have to be a licensed therapist or psychologist wherever you live? So if you have clients in California but traveling, don’t u have to be licensed wherever you’re traveling to? Please let me know as i am thinking about majoring in psychology but travel and being able to move around if I want to is important to me
Right, all of the training I have had has instructed us that we have to be licensed in the state where we are doing therapy. During Covington, they gave us emergency licenses on border states for telehealth. I love travel as well. Thank you for your story.
It depends on the state where you are licensed. Sounds like she is licensed in CA and has CA clients so she’s allowed to see them via online sessions in another country
Thank you so much for sharing your story! I found your content while doing my own prep and research for a transition to digital nomad-ing in Colombia or Portugal. My stuck point is medical and healthcare insurance... How does one manage this while living permanently in another country but pulling in an income from a USA business/practice?
Hi Christina! Thanks for watching! Usually the health insurance is much more affordable outside of the USA. For example, I have premium health insurance that even covers me for emergencies when I’m traveling outside Portugal, and it’s about €1000… for the ENTIRE YEAR. Not sure if this answers your question?
Thank you for creating this channel! This is just the type of content I was looking for. I would like to study psychotherapy but all the online counseling programs I see in the US are so expensive! I’m scared of taking up such a big loan because it would limit the quality of life I have after graduating. I’m wondering your thoughts of not being licensed in the US but attending school abroad? Then working remotely and searching for therapy patients from all over the world? I’ve seen some amazing programs in Argentina at a reasonable price and I can’t decide!
