Would you move to Portugal? Why / why not? 🇵🇹
Sory my frind lol
We did and we love it here!!
I'm portuguese. In winter i close the windows at night and wear a pijama at home dnd to sleep and put an edredon on top of the sheets and on the colder nights another cover. Most important of all, wear socks. If your feet are warmed that fights half the cold in your body. I rarely use heaters, maybe 2 or 3 times each winter. At summer i just leave the windows mildly open with the shades down and the breeze will do the rest. Being from the douth of Portugal i am far more tolerant to hot than cold.
What catches a lot of foreigners by surprise about winter in Portugal is the humidity, which makes temperatures here feel like 10 celcius colder than what is in the termometer. On the other hand there is a lot of sunshine in winter too, especially in the south.
We’re moving from Canada to Setubal in September- yay!
congrats 🥳 hope everything goes smoothly!
Setubal is close to Sesimbra beaches like Praia da Ribeira do Cavalo or Praia dos Galapinhos...great choice
Another brilliant video... Informative and funny. México is the same...no central heat... Even though it's 5c outside... So it's might be 10c inside! Showering is miserable. I DID want to move to Portugal... But rental costs are crazy high. Plus every other cost is higher than Mexico.... Oh well.. Viva Mexico 🇲🇽🇲🇽🇲🇽😎🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
1:58 i love the Accent
😂 Good job with the accent at 1:58! 😊
spasibo comrade!
Portuguese here. I would love to go back... but I can't afford a house there.
I just wanted to say thanks for all your content and that your English is great!
I can easily listen to it at 1.75 :)
I’m in love with your accent
Russian touch
Very NICE Thanks for new video
So nice of you!
Coming to canada this fall🎉
congrats 🤩🥳
Howdy Yulia! Winter, spring, summer or autumn- what's ur pick?
Hiiii, I love autumn! It's nice & fresh in the morning but still warm during the day 🍂🤎
Thanks for the video!
You're welcome!
Good job
Hello Yulia, how long it takes you have a little chat in portuguese with local.
95% of people in Portugal don't use any air conditioning... it's a big waiste of money - to prevent high temperatues in the house, it's enough to down the sun-cutting barriers on the windows on the sunny side of the house, open partially some windows to let the air circulate, and you will have cool temperatures inside the house, even in the hottest summer days
we tried doing that and it doesn’t work for us. it’s still way too hot in the apartment + no light during the day. also, our electricity bill didn’t change much with AC, so I think it’s worth getting 💨
@@ThisisYulia- Yeah, I bet Silvério never tried practicing what he's preaching because when it's +30ºC outside and you open windows, the heat doesn't magically stays outside. Plus, there's this internet-spawn misconception that A/C systems will make your electricity bill skyrocket when it's used on cold settings, it only consumes more when it's generating heat.
Is my dream to move in to Canada 🇨🇦
Mine too 😢
My city regularly is above 40 °C, maybe it's a better idea to go to Portugal on summer 😅
If someone get work permit then second step for citizenship where to submit my paper please make video clip
Could you please tell more detailed about health cards and health insurance (public or private) in Portugal? What should you pay attention to choosing the private health insurance? And what did you choose?
I have a separate video on that! Check it out: ua-cam.com/video/zvG_I6hvC-o/v-deo.html
@@ThisisYulia thanks
hahaha i don't even move to 🇵🇹 i just love your content for us! 💋 i love yooouu
What is better canada or Europe?
what realty sites do you use to search for rentals? thanks!
idealista, casa sapo, facebook marketplace
@@ThisisYulia thanks!
FIRST!
🥳🥳🥳
Hey, do you have many local friends already? Or expats
I’d say the majority of our friends are expats but we do have some Portuguese friends 🌞
Yeah... Portugal has a lot of work to do about its housing insulation, we are NOT prepared either for the cold and hot weather, construction insulation SUCKS!
Sory my frind lol
Do doctors at hospitals speak english?
it depends. in a private hospital, everybody speaks English. in a public hospital, I had to practice my Portuguese 😂
Great to know! Moving with my partner next month to Lisbon. Your videos are super helpful! Thank you!!@@ThisisYulia
always a pleasure 🖤 best of luck with your move!
