Off topic, but it's the same thing with "Place In The World Fades Away" from EATEOT for me. When I first listened to it, I bursted out tears, but now, it haunts me, and yet I can't stop listening to it.
The fact that she has always liked him, since childhood, but never had the courage and the chance to talk to him because she was afraid of not be accepted, and only found the courage to know him when she realised she didn't have so much time to live, always hit me. She healed him, and made him love playing piano again, leaving behind the trauma caused by his mother. I think that even if now kousei lost the person he loved the most, thanks to her now he learned to live and to not give up. She was afraid of begin forgotten, of not have been important to him, of only have been "someone who's passing thorough, and who'll soone be gone, and this shows how, even if she always acted strongly and positively, she was scared and insicure. All these things make her my favourite character of all the time❤

This is so heartbreaking, but beautiful. A girl who loves me was once sick as well, and asked me to do this and that. I was hesitant at first since we were still getting to know each other, but after watching this anime, my heart told me to help her so she doesn't end up like Kaori. In the end, I followed my heart and she has made a full recovery to this day. Remember guys, don't be afraid to sacrifice for love, because once they're gone, they're gone.
I fr underestimated this anime 'cause I came to watch this thinking "maybe I can shed a few tears" but then the ending got me sobbing uncontrollably for like 10 minutes straight. I just can't help but be grateful I got to discover this masterpiece...
Somewhat relative feeling. I walked into this with expectation of romance and a happy ending. What’s worse is I was watching while depressed and the ending made me cry uncontrollably as well which suprised. Even after finishing I was still crying it’s actually why I can’t rewatch it.

Despite it making me depressed and unable to rewatch I’ll always always love this show. I know the word masterpiece is passed around to commonly for those undeserving of the title but I truly consider this a masterpiece because of how realistically the character and the premise of the show resonates with some of our lives.

Depression can't fix anything..like in this anime how kaori get confidence and live her life to the fullest and achieved what she wanted to...till her last breath .
I just finished this anime, I never have cried due to any Tv show or movie or anything like that, this included but the pit you feel in your stomach after watching this is unbelievable. I know these characters are fictional but I guess I see a lot of resemblance in my own life to the story of the main character (being unable to have fun with hobbies and obligations after unresolved trauma). I think what most affects me from this anime is the fact that I yearn for a special connection with a girl in my own life, but I doubt the possibility of finding true unconditional love and a bond like these characters had. It’s a weird feeling anyways thx for letting me rant have a good one folks
I watched this anime during the most hardest time of my life, I was depressed at the time of watching this. Unbeknownst to me this anime would plummet my mental health even further into the depths. I was crying unexpectedly a lot
Literally man I am Literally praying to god to do a miracle and change this ending somehow and moreover the fact that it is based ona true story hurts me more I jave cried a lot in my bathroom because everyone would laugh at me now my tears are all dries up and I only feel sad and also happy after seeing one of the characters of this anime. Moreover you will be surprised to know that I have never watched this full anime series accidentally I clicked on a video and I saw a clip in which kousei was playing piano and he saw the spirit of his lover accompanying him and then I got to know the whole story and just a story was enough to make me cry. Now I am blaming God that why has he made me so sensitive😢

A couple hours later someone contacts me and they say "Yes Jesus is saying yes he is your buddy" another time was I obsessing a little over this blue suit and someone prophecies "I see you in this blue suit" etc, another time I was testing this whole thing and I'm about to be prophecied over and I have my Google notes out I had tried writing out a little story and it was about a fire and forest being burnt down and I ask God to confirm if he wants me to write this and sort of as a test because everything had been scary accurate and the person right after says "God wants you to be his little stick lit ablaze with his love, it may not seem like much but one small flame can burn down a whole forest" 😂 another one was I had this. A couple hours later someone contacts me and they say "Yes Jesus is saying yes he is your buddy" another time was I obsessing a little over this blue suit and someone prophecies "I see you in this blue suit" etc, another time I was testing this whole thing and I'm about to be prophecied over and I have my Google notes out I had tried writing out a little story and it was about a fire and forest being burnt down and I ask God to confirm if he wants me to write this and sort of as a test because everything had been scary accurate and the person right after says "God wants you to be his little stick lit ablaze with his love, it may not seem like much but one small flame can burn down a whole forest" 😂 another one was I had this. Surreal vision looking at stars, shortly after someone messages me saying Jesus is looking at a telescope with you saying to you "everything I have is yours even the stars" another one I was in the bathroom asking God for a message for my friend Moses in Nigeria and as I'm leaving the bathroom i freeze in place and go into this bizarre trance like Peter in the book of acts and I see my friend Moses as a child playing with a toy firetruck and Jesus sitting next to him with love, I quickly tell them and they are in shock as they had just thrown away that toy that same day, another time I had gotten a word from God about someone close to me who hadn't accepted Jesus and that they had been praying to God secretly, I told them that and the look on their face was priceless as I had no idea they had been praying to God at all, they were shook 😄 this is only a handful of many a 100 times in just the last 12 months after 5 years of me being born again, there's so many more amazing things that have happened but you are beautiful and desired of God, he is a gentleman and will not force you to choose him or love him but he loves so so much, he's asking you if you will come, he will love you and cherish you everyday of your life, he will never abandon you, I beg you to take a chance and not reject God's love for you, he wants to heal you and you to enjoy a living relationship between you, God bless you so much, Jesus says to come to him for rest your weary soul he is humble and meek and tender and gentle, he loves you so much he knows everything about you, nothing about you is unimportant to him 😭❤❤ If you repent and call on his name you will be saved from hell and Jesus's wrath and judgement for all have sinned!! ❤ For God so loved The World that gave his only begotten son that whoever should believe in him will not perish but have eternal life!! 💙🙌🏻 repent all have sinned and fallen short!!❤️🔥❤♥️ ✝️❤️✝️

I watched this anime with my niece at the time (she 11 now and I’m 33) we thought it looked nice and she was just getting into anime. By the end we were both sobbing so hard. She looked at me after the end and goes I want to hug him. God this was the worst anime in just the best way 😭
Kaori and Kousei coud've been frieds and dated if only Tsubaki is not a clingy bestfriend. Kaori died not knowing Kousei is also inlove with her. And if Kousei entered in Kaorie's life a much earlier, Kaori could've done the surgery when her body was still strong enough to undergo the operation...
Is it fair to blame Tsumaki? If Kaori had gained confidence much earlier instead of when she realized she was terminally ill then things would've been different for sure. Sure Tsumaki was clingy but they weren't dating and it's not like she went out of way to keep kousei away from girls

Nah nah but imagine it with this Ending: Kousei placed 3rd in the competition Aiza was 2nd Emi was 1st Kousei with the piano and Kaori with the violin played Love Sorrow in the hospital room as Kousei is recovering from the surgery. As soon as Kaori was discharged, They went back to the bench where Kaori used to wait for Watari, whilst the cat was also there by their side as they talked with each other. When it was again time to head home Kousei was piggy backing Kaori at again the scenery of a starry night due that kaori cant walk too long distances because of the surgery. Whilst saying theyre goodbye, Kaori's letter accidentally slipped from her bag. Kousei asked why is there a letter intended for him, so Kaori explained. The series ends with them both having a "kiss" while the camera shifts slowly to the Starry Stars and the night, while the song "Hikaru Naku" fades in slowly and the end credits show, after so we then see the white screen with a fancy fonts that shows *" f i n "*
I wish there is an alternate ending😢 where Kaori survive and made a last duet with kousei even for the last time.. this made me cry after watching the hole series😭😭

That line always hits me so hard in the chest
The fact that she has always liked him, since childhood, but never had the courage and the chance to talk to him because she was afraid of not be accepted, and only found the courage to know him when she realised she didn't have so much time to live, always hit me. She healed him, and made him love playing piano again, leaving behind the trauma caused by his mother. I think that even if now kousei lost the person he loved the most, thanks to her now he learned to live and to not give up. She was afraid of begin forgotten, of not have been important to him, of only have been "someone who's passing thorough, and who'll soone be gone, and this shows how, even if she always acted strongly and positively, she was scared and insicure. All these things make her my favourite character of all the time❤

This is so heartbreaking, but beautiful. A girl who loves me was once sick as well, and asked me to do this and that. I was hesitant at first since we were still getting to know each other, but after watching this anime, my heart told me to help her so she doesn't end up like Kaori. In the end, I followed my heart and she has made a full recovery to this day. Remember guys, don't be afraid to sacrifice for love, because once they're gone, they're gone.

I fr underestimated this anime 'cause I came to watch this thinking "maybe I can shed a few tears" but then the ending got me sobbing uncontrollably for like 10 minutes straight. I just can't help but be grateful I got to discover this masterpiece...
Somewhat relative feeling. I walked into this with expectation of romance and a happy ending. What’s worse is I was watching while depressed and the ending made me cry uncontrollably as well which suprised. Even after finishing I was still crying it’s actually why I can’t rewatch it.

@@Felipemanofthesmartpeople you know it hits hard when you can sympathize with the characters because you’ve gone through something similar irl it’s just an entirely different feeling.and that’s what crushed me and I’m sure most of us could relate to this anime in someway. Despite it making me depressed and unable to rewatch I’ll always always love this show. I know the word masterpiece is passed around to commonly for those undeserving of the title but I truly consider this a masterpiece because of how realistically the character and the premise of the show resonates with some of our lives.

I just finished this anime, I never have cried due to any Tv show or movie or anything like that, this included but the pit you feel in your stomach after watching this is unbelievable. I know these characters are fictional but I guess I see a lot of resemblance in my own life to the story of the main character (being unable to have fun with hobbies and obligations after unresolved trauma). I think what most affects me from this anime is the fact that I yearn for a special connection with a girl in my own life, but I doubt the possibility of finding true unconditional love and a bond like these characters had. It’s a weird feeling anyways thx for letting me rant have a good one folks

Literally man I am Literally praying to god to do a miracle and change this ending somehow and moreover the fact that it is based ona true story hurts me more I jave cried a lot in my bathroom because everyone would laugh at me now my tears are all dries up and I only feel sad and also happy after seeing one of the characters of this anime. Moreover you will be surprised to know that I have never watched this full anime series accidentally I clicked on a video and I saw a clip in which kousei was playing piano and he saw the spirit of his lover accompanying him and then I got to know the whole story and just a story was enough to make me cry. Is it fair to blame Tsumaki? If Kaori had gained confidence much earlier instead of when she realized she was terminally ill then things would've been different for sure. Sure Tsumaki was clingy but they weren't dating and it's not like she went out of way to keep kousei away from girls

Kousei with the piano and Kaori with the violin played Love Sorrow in the hospital room as Kousei is recovering from the surgery.
As soon as Kaori was discharged,
They went back to the bench where Kaori used to wait for Watari, whilst the cat was also there by their side as they talked with each other.
When it was again time to head home Kousei was piggy backing Kaori at again the scenery of a starry night due that kaori cant walk too long distances because of the surgery.
Whilst saying theyre goodbye, Kaori's letter accidentally slipped from her bag. Kousei asked why is there a letter intended for him, so Kaori explained.
The series ends with them both having a "kiss" while the camera shifts slowly to the Starry Stars and the night,
