Used this trick on my leather recliner. Incredible how it took the ink off. Leather dulled a little bit, but the conditioner took care of that.Thanks

I am sitting outside a Surf Style store waiting for my parents who are inside buying swim suits and beach accoutrements. My 7 year old nephew is scrubbing the seat back with a Magic Eraser to remove the ballpoint pen drawing. It's not working. Then I do an internet search for help and your video comes up. Thank goodness I am in the right place to buy what my nephew needs. I hope this works!

My mom used your idea and it work pretty good. There is still some on the seat so it will have to be cleaned a little more by professionals but to get the majority off it did come off.
sometimes it needs to be done a couple times and let it set on for a longer time

There is one video I would love for you to produce. A local detail shop does something they won't show anybody but I would sure like to know. When somebody brings in a vehicle with carpet floor mats that has a place where all the carpet fibers are wore off and leaves a bare spot, they somehow do some type of operation where they replace the fibers that are missing, color matches and all. You can't tell where they did it. I would love to know how to do this. My truck has a place like this. Thanks for all your videos. I have learned so much! Tom

lightened up ballpoint ink leak significantly on my Acura MDX parchment leather. I did scrub too much with toothbrush and it lightened some leather slightly
I found 50 and 100 SPF sports “Ultra”. Doesn’t seem to say the same thing on the bottle as yours, they may have changed the wording on the can. Does the SPF matter whether it’s 50 or 100?? Might sound stupid but I wanna make sure I get exactly the right thing! Lastly, this is for black ballpoint pen ink on the passenger side door vinyl. Will this work for that too?

So I just started working on trying to remove ball point from my leather purse, it did lighten it, I’ll have to try another application, I did not put it on as heavy as you, I dabbed at the spots with it,

I have an ink stain left by the imprint from a white PVC pipe label that was left on a white vinyl boat seat. Tried the sun screen with no effect. Also tried ammonia and IPA with no effect. Any suggestions? Don't want to use really harsh solvents as the seats are in very good condition otherwise.
We would use super clean but it can be harsh If your seats are in good condition and you do not want to re dye that area then you will most likely not be able to remove that type of ink yes we could do it we have been at it for years The best thing you can do is take it to a professional and have them deal with it

Is this specific to marker? I have a brown scuff mark a few inches long on the seat from a wheel of a suitcase. I tried leather cleaner and it does nothing to it.
Give it a try and see if it works for you if it doesn’t let us know we do have a fix for most everything

Gladis Hernandez this will work on all vinyl and leather we say always try an area out of site to test any products use on leather or vinyl if the couch is leather I would use leather dye to bring it back we have a video on that if you look through them
There has been much debate as to whether or not to apply a protective coating to tonneau covers. Have you experimented with this ?

There’s only one way to remove that goo and I know exactly what you’re talking about a little lacquer thinner on a towel to wipe that stuff right off then you may have to recolor it or paint it

Would this work for ink stains that have been set for a day or longer? The case where my eyeglasses are encased in have been filled with ink stain because of my silly nephew and it's also leather :) I've used rubbing alcohol, wipes, nail polish removers, but they kinda just made it fade a bit though not completely vanished

You mention the Sport kind is better for this kind of thing. Did you find that regular sunblock spray didn't remove the ink as well? Or that it damaged the leather or vinyl? Or what difference in the outcome.
I have a diluted sharpie ink stain on a white leather sofa chair I've only had a couple months and so far nothing has gotten it out completely. If I use the Sport sunscreen, does letting it sit for 30min make a difference? As opposed to not letting it sit so long
I know that's a lot of questions - I'm just desperate to save my sofa chair without ruining it 😰

SPC, love your channel and I believe I grew up near your area in Chesaning. Question what can I use on a 2012 Cadillac SRX tan interior door panel that has a yellowing circle left from a circular fresh scent disc sitting in the door. I used some 99% isopropyl alcohol it lightened it but still visible. Thanks in advance for any assistance and keep up the great work

SPC, I appreciate your feedback on my situation. I was able to try the sunscreen but unfortunately it did not lighten or remove the yellowing stain. I did try the sunscreen three times on the stain.

It worked!!! My friend broke a pen on my light beige leather car seat and unknowingly sat on it as we drove for hours- with the seat heater on. It was there for a a week before I found this video and another few days before I could locate the BB Sport Performance spray. I cannot find 303 though... any suggestions what stores carry 303? You can try whatever you have access to but we have found the spray works the best after much testing

I have a question.. I have a leather seat on my bike that's gotten pretty old.. I've used Sharpie Permanent markers on the seat to design something on it to freshen up the seat and make it more unique.. Would the ink bleed out on to my clothes as I ride?
Ryan Church if you are looking to remove the ink from the sharpie and you remove it fully it will not bleed o to your clothing :)
not to remove it aha.. what i mean is i drew on my seat and i'm wondering if it'll come off onto my clothes if sit on it long enough.. because right now it looks amazing and i'd hate to have a blue patch on my shorts after a couple hours riding.
Ryan Church sorry I was taking because of the video you commented on that you were trying to remove it, as far as the ink coming out on to your clothing not sure on that as there are so many variables, temp, sweat, friction. I guess you could lay a towel over it and ride for a bit and see if it comes out.

What would happen if you put a heavy spray of the Banana Boat on the ink spot and let it work overnight? Would that remove the ink in one shot or would you still have to re-apply the Banana Boat multiple times as you have demonstrated? Does it harm the leather to leave the Banana Boat on it overnight?
