This puzzle has destroyed my sleep and I may have failed a class for it. But if I can get an avatar out of this chaos, then I am all for it :)
btw in case anyone was wondering, the cryptic instagram post from 5:26 is a caesar cipher, which just takes the letters in a word or phrase and shifts them over a set number of times. in this case, each letter was shifted 19 times

Cryptogram puzzle: at the start: theres only two single-letter words (I and A) so that means H is one of those. Looking at the word 'HCHAHY' therefor assuming A is a word with 3 As in it. not many words that fit that pattern but Avatar is one of them! from there you unlock the other letters (CAY) and turn them into VTR and see where that takes you.
Whenever I watch one of your videos, my neopets obsession comes back in full force
5:32 I must be clinically insane because I nearly immediately recognized this can't be a word scramble (there's a lot of Z, J, and Y that are there, and those are rare letters in English) so I immediately was like "Maybe this is a Caesar Cipher?" and Googled a caesar cipher decoder and typed in this text, and the literal default settings happened to match what the devs used. I'm so normal about neopets.

What’s wild to me about that puzzle is not only was it an anagram it was using a cypher and they got that figured out in like 10 minutes. Crazy!! I wish I could puzzle like that 😂
Caesar Cyphers are the most basic code, much easier than an actual anagram

I just wanted to say I started playing neopets again because of your videos talking about the fairy festival and halloween. And now there's a plot happening! I've never gotten to play during a plot event! And I've nearly maxed out the bank interest which was a neogoal I'd never thought I would reach!

Thank god Amanda is here to report on this stuff. I’m literally in the neopets fb groups and I see the updates online and I just don’t retain information. I don’t collect avatars so I assumed none of the recent updates about the avatars were plot related and I just didn’t pay attention.

Isn't there a difference between American Sign Language and British Sign Language? I know full words can differ but I'm not sure about individual letter signs. Could be a red herring but might warrant further investigation 🤔
EDIT: They are completely separate languages, the alphabets are indeed different. Good luck for anyone curious to delve deeper.

spent 10 minutes trying to solve the puzzle like it was a cipher because i got that confused with anagrams. needless to say.... i am not a genius puzzle lover

Yeahhh... I looked up what the actual clues were meant to be after it was solved and ran out of brainpower halfway through just reading and trying to understand the logic leaps. For someone who's actually good at this stuff, they maybe look like simple steps instead of leaps, but, well... 😅

For the word puzzle at 5:32, start by looking for words that only have 1 letter. So the 3rd word only has 1 letter, and then try to figure out if it is "a" or "I" because those are the only 2 words with 1 letter. From there, use the same logic to determine the rest of the letters.
To solve this write down the alphabet, starting with the 1 letter word and count how many letters to the left until you get to "a." It should be 7. Then do it for the rest of the letters. Once you solve 1 letter you can write down what it is and input it into all other letters. For example, replace all "H" with "A" in words 5 and 7.
I wasn't going to comment, but I felt like you were being serious about wanting to know how peoples' minds work, which I found inviting. I think it's cool that "how the minds of others work" interests you and is a sign of wisdom.

People generally don't do anagrams and ciphers by hand 😂 even back when the castle of eliv thade dropped, anagram solving websites were fully a thing. How else would you play that?

the thing is that an anagram uses jumbles up the letters, while a cypher changes the letters, in this case, the casar cypher shifts all the letters 7 places to the right (a🠞h, b🠞i, c🠞j, etc)

DYEWORKS QUESTION: lol I cannot seem to find the answers anywhere! I just recently started re-playing (about 28 days in so far), and to cut to the chase, I have an Aisha, working toward buying the Maraquan paintbrush for her. I had some spare NC, so I grabbed the Maraquan Summer Cloak (today jun 10/24) and a brew potion - Im trying to get the purple version of the cape. But yet when I go to the dyeworks (with the cape and potion in inventory), it doesnt show the option to dye the cape? As far as I understood the dye colour is random, that I get, but I have both the item and potion so why wont it let me dye it? X_X I dont understand TT^TT
