Great review. Asymmetric bags like the metcalf are just asking for weird back pains. Also i've noticed many companies shying away from small pockets because too many people are concerned with the weight of the bag. Only to later put all their small gear in pouches and stuff sacks adding more weight.
Yea, I'll gladly take a 6-12oz heavier bag with better organization/more pockets. On a multi-day trip, the ability to stay organized is a very important consideration for me. I want to know where my critical items are and be able to access them easily/quickly. The Kifaru does that much better for me.
@@Going4BrokeOutdoors I'm with ya about keeping keys in a special pocket, I get nervous approaching my truck.
Sir how does the weight hold uo on the Kifaru? Debating between that Badlands or Exo?
The Kifaru carries weight better than the Mystery Ranch. The lumbar pad and waist belt are better, in my opinion. I haven't packed meat on an EXO or Badlands, so I can't make an informed comment on those ones.
