Mostly all Bluetooth speakers do not have a subwoofer they use speaker drivers and the air that the driver's makes instead of letting it go to waste they use the passive radiator to make it sound like it has a subwoofer
for those who say that they charge it for a long time but only get no more than an hour of play out of it, then it's probably because of over charging. Battery life on any chargeable battery shortens everytime you let the battery run too low Or leave it charging too long after its full. So don't leave it charging all day or over night since that will only hurt it. If your device's battery life is already damaged then consider watching a video on how to replace a battery since that will most likely fix you problem.
After reading these comments and using one myself. DO NOT BUY with me I left it charge for like 24 hours. I play 1 song and dies. Even when i have it plugged in to the outlet it will just turn off.
j soo that is frustrating, sorry that you've had issues. Mine is still going strong. Sounds like g project is having consistency /quality control issues.
superedge99 if you keep seeing these comments just let them know that it is not a good thing to leave them charging too long. it shortens battery life which is probably why they turn off quick. they can always look up how to change the battery since that's most likely the problem.
Something is not right with either the bluetooth speaker or your phone. Is the blue light blinking on the speaker when you are trying to connect with your phone?
Sally Hoffman do you have a flex keyboard or flex Bluetooth headphones? Just to be positive which is the problem (g-drop or phone) can you try pairing the g-drop to another phone?
this little guy has great sound and is quite durable. after about a month of having it, though, I noticed I only get about 2-3 hours of playback before the battery dies. has anyone else seen this issue?
Hey superedge99 can u PLZ PLZ PLZ answer this!!?? In your opinion honestly would this be a great speaker just for playing BASS songs any time? because I'm thinking of buying this speaker and I go MTB Riding every morning to school, so would this speaker be great and easy to hear if It is zipped up inside of my school bag? as I am riding, I really want to play some songs through a loud, powerful BASS speaker in my bag. Would It work???
No, it wouldn't reproduce bass well enough. You gotta go with a larger speaker than this to be able to reproduce bass loud enough to enjoy on a bike ride or out in the open.
ok then, What would u suggest that would be bigger than this one but not too big and produce bass well, even though it is still in my bag on the way to school, a bigger better one that's not too dear and a good price???
You're right, I should have played a music clip. The main problem with playing a music clip though is that it will not sound very good because the microphone on the phone recording the video isn't very high quality, so it would have just sounded kind of bad. But I probably should have played music on it anyways to make the review complete. Thanks for the feedback.
This speaker's battery life is pathetic. I bought mine just over a month ago and now it can't hold a charge with a damn. I just got done charging it for over 24 hours, kept it plugged in, and was able to play a whopping 10 mins of music before the battery died. I have never dropped it, never submerged it in water, and it still has lost all of its battery strength. It may be cheap but it's not worth even it's small price tag. Spend a little more and get an actual good speaker like jbl or bose.
Interesting, mine charges quickly and holds a charge for hours. Sounds like you should contact the company to see if they'll help you out through warranty.
+superedge99 I was wanting to but I threw away the receipt and am worried that I'll be that guy who calls in complaining but has no proof that I have a defective product. I think I'm still gonna try when I get home today, I may have just got a bad speaker. I already went back to where I purchased it and they can help me because I didn't have the receipt. Proof that holding on to receipts can be important.
you can't charge any modern chargeable tech for too long these days. Battery life on any chargeable battery gets shorter everytime it gets too low on battery, or is left charging after max. some batteries also have something where it'll just stop working to prevent any risk of an exploding battery. Important thing to note: try to not let charge past max or drop below 10% battery so battery life won't drop.
Your video was super helpful!!! My sister and I spent 20 minutes trying to pop open the port. Thank you so much! ☺
I'm so glad that I could help!
Very helpful. Could not figure out how to open the tricky hatch until I saw this video!
Thank you! I, like Yazmin below, have been struggling to open the usb compartment!
Thanks for a great review. Nice that you went through the pos and neg.
Thank you! Very helpful! I'm contemplating buying it.

Used to charge no problem. After about 1 month it will no longer charge.
Excellent review!

Adjusted to max volume, but still volume is very low.
Nice very helpful But my Samsung wont pick up this device.....

Yes and instead of saying G drop it says flex. Then it tells me it cannot connect? I have tried and tried i am thinking its the phone

Sally Hoffman

👍
Why is it when I'm watching a movie on my phone and I plug it to a wall charger at home it still shuts off for some reason.
would I be able to sinc the g-drop to the g-boom?
Walter Escobar I seriously doubt it, but I could be wrong

The UE Boom 2 might do the trick.
Could've played a music clip.

how do u charge it
With a micro USB cable
mine will charge but wont turn on
How do you turn it on
I no longer have this unit, but I believe you just had to charge it up and hold down the power button a couple seconds.
my g drop won't turn off? I took it the pool. with me & after that it wouldn't turn off
Its Odoggfoo same thing happened today but not a single button works
The charging cable is a typical cell phone charging cable, I believe that it is called a micro USB cable. A cell phone charger should work fine.
omg, couldn't open the lil door to charge it..thanks. maybe that's why it was marked down to $15 what a steal :)
Would've been nice to actually see it in action but whatevs.

Same thing with me, this thing sucks ass.
