  • This is a video of the LED upgrade I did on my Honda HS928 snowblower. I go over some of the basics of upgrading from the incandescent lighting that comes on most snowblowers. If you go to this thread linked below you can read through the guide on how to DIY your own LED headlight upgrade on your snowblower. Please direct your questions to the below thread.

Thanks for the video. I just watched another video where someone added an LED and, from the video, it was flickering a lot. Very annoying. Perhaps this is what you are speaking of by adding the bridge rectifier?
Thanks, I will research this as I am trying to add an LED to my Honda HS1132

My pleasure. The bridge rectifier gets you some dirty DC, dirty meaning that you'll still have some AC that trickles by that can create some residual flickering and also can be harmful to the driver circuit inside an LED light. So the addition of a capacitor is needed after the bridge rectifier, I chose a 2200micro farad 50v capacitor, and I wired it in parallel. This is a thread I created on a great snowblower forum which you can read and ask any questions you have about your LED install. www.snowblowerforum.com/forum/general-snowblower-discussion/6602-upgrading-your-snowblower-lights-led-lights.html

Where can I buy those led lights you installed on your Honda HS928?

better to run the light off a small 12 volt battery and use the stator to charge the battery or a solar panel

How is that better? If you charge the battery with the headlight circuit you still need rectification. Sounds like you are suggesting a more expensive and labor intensive option.

How many watts do you get from the lightspole?

If you are asking how many watts I get from the stator then it is about 50 watts. Does this answer your question?

Hi I have a Honda 928hsa the work that light is 12V 55W. I was looking a work light that's 3W CREE LED 36W then it saying operating voltage 9-32V DC. Would that work? Thanks.

It will work, but it is only 3 watts?

+superedge99 this is the light I am looking at. It comes with two but only putting one on.

+Brian Fries that will work great.

+superedge99 Thanks. One last thing how would you put a switch to turn the light on and off?

+Brian Fries off of the DC output on your bridge rectifier you'd add a switch to either the positive or the negative wire.
