The phrase "bless your heart" is not lost on me. I have enough southern boy in me to know the meaning. Ariel you took it to the next level by adding "little black" to it. And yes I know exactly who I'd dedicate this to, that person added so much anxiety and stress to my life. Thankfully, they are in the distant pass now.
That’s exactly what I thought when the audio-only version was released. The phrase can mean so many things depending on the context, and the “little black” bit just takes it to a whole new level.

I had a counselor tell me I would never get sober, I was a stage 4 alcoholic. Bless his little black heart, May 26th 2002 I got sober. Still am. I looooove this song, it reminds me everytime that despite what he thought, with God, support and a will to live I survived. It is how I dealt with my depression. Now I deal with it through my photography and art. Bless his little black heart....
