Spin Fishing for Kahawai at The Waimak River Mouth & Seal Encounter Summer 2022/23

Hi All,
On todays video Stan and I (Aaron) have a crack at some top water lure fishing for Kahawai.
Quite a lot of the time Kahawai will readily take a lure that is skipping across the top of the water surface or just beneath and other times not so often. It is a matter of trying different styles of fishing to entice the Kahawai to bite, especially if you are struggling to get the fish to take.
If you are not having any success at catching Kahawai then try slowing down your retrieve a little bit or even speeding it up. Try fishing different depths of water as the kahawai like other fish do not always reside in one particular water column.
We also had a visit from a hungry young seal who wasn't shy in coming up to say gidday.
