I have to disagree with my predecessors, i like it. Its a really cool collection, a lot of pieces that you dont expect. I guess some miss the mojo in the tone. Timing is very good, very precise playing, cant complain.

Lacks a little madness of groove in your playing. But I take this as an educational video.
Its not about aggressive or soft, is about using both and all in between in the right amount to convey feel (and way more difficult than choosing an extreme). Also, if you include FUNK in your video title and then play bass like you are afraid to wake up your neighbors you are going to get some dislikes, get over it. Bobby Vega funks. This is plain and emotionless (nothing against the guy, but like/dislike/comment options are there for a reason).

I've been playing bass for 20 years, came up playing funk and I can tell you it's not funk if you're just playing the notes - There's rhythm to factor in as well as a percussive approach to playing the notes. Just because you know how to play the correct notes does not simply make it funk.

absolutely no feel. i have this problem too. i can't project what i feel
get strap, stand up, dance. It really helps, trust me I had problems with feel and getting up and dancing while playing really helps
