Proper Shoot Out with Proper Gentlemen! We reached far and wide to find completely stock side by side, and their drivers to come give their unbiased opinion! All 7 drivers drive all 7 cars around the infamous Mack Track and give their rating. Along with complex factual numbers, we compare the side by sides in all categories. Suspension and Brakes got figured out in this video. Make sure to subscribe to see the rest of the results!! We are so sad that Speed withdrew from the competition because we are not experienced enough to review them. It is what it is.

Dang this is so disappointing. I've been excitingly waiting for video two to come out to see the Speed and the real deal comparison and it got pulled out. This is not going to help anyone's confidence on Speed. I'm bummed and embarrassed as a customer👎🏻

@johnnysellssocal that's what I figured to, but they just posted on fb that it was because Robby offered to come race their track in a production car and teach people how to use the brakes properly.

I think you guys need to give your honest opinion of the Speed from a regular consumer view point. 90% of buyers are not desert racers. I have one on order and would be nice to know what to expect. The fact that you guys are not baja experts and just normal dudes makes it better.
It’s a shame the Speed was left out of the second part of your shootout comparison. I would like to hear more about why you decided to remove it from the second video? You bought & own a Speed and should be able to speak about it, if you chose.
It's shows how much they were in speeds pocket. Speed told them not to talk about it and they don't. Probably got it discounted or free in exchange for having in videos and saying good things about it.

I have an XX and i love it. I want a speed. I think it probably has the best overall machine.( once the bugs are worked out) But i can guarantee Robby Gordons team reached out and had some words. The way they bully everyone is unacceptable to me. If they treat speed owners the way they treat XX owners I will never actually get one. Get this. Robby will not let anyone race an XX or sell suspension arms/parts that use the XX pickup points. You will get an attorney calling you if you even think about anything that they dont sanction. Ive heard people say that Robby is either loved or hated. Depends on the day for me.

Take apart the master cyl and a brake cyl, then check brake line size and if its on par with what brake system sizing guides say. Be the first to solve it and rub robbys nose in it since he thinks youre all marshmellows, Including chuppacabra.
The speed has a 2ft long brake pedal so everything is fine lol. Yes robby yes!

I’ve had my Speed UTV on order for over 3 1/2 years now and I’ve been so excited over the years but seeing everything that’s been going on the last few months my excitement level is definitely gone and I’m seriously contemplating selling my place in line

@@jabroni6199 your first amendment rights only protect you from the government limiting your speech. Private citizens, and companies, have the right to take legal action against you for what you say about them. Even if they lose, the threat of you having to spend money to defend yourself is often enough to shut people up.

Next year I am probably going to buy a new car. I was considering speed, pro-r and maverick r. I have dropped the maverick r because its ugly and the suspension doesn't look like it can handle whoops, the bucking looks just like the x3. It was down to speed and the pro-r. I have been very skeptical of speed because you hear nothing from the owners. I was excited to see this shootout, not to decide but to get an idea of what does what. Obviously something happened behind the scenes for you to drop it. Due to that Speed won't be getting my business.

As has been stated it’s kinda bogus you took the speed out of the running. It doesn’t make it sound good . Your doing a comparison of what it is like from a customer standpoint. Not well just talk to the manufacturer.

This is some bull💩. So the most arrogant 💩talking man in the off road industry can’t handle it if someone’s personal opinion isn’t what he thinks it should be. Robby has zero issues with talking crap about every other manufacturer and car out today, but don’t you dare knock his baby. At the OC sand show he had problem with giving his negative opinions on the new Maverick R and the Pro R. Last time I checked, there are no qualifications to be met here in the USA in order to voice your opinions on a product you own regardless of if you are wrong or right. This kind of thing is not good for Robby or his brand.

Robby Gordon was critical of anyone who said the brakes were weak on a recent live stream. He said “just push the pedal harder”. Apparently they have never experienced any issues with the brakes. That being said Robby went on to say “if you can’t stop the vehicle go to the gym or upgrade to the Willwood package”.

Subscribed a couple weeks ago. Appreciate the content so far! The findings regarding the pro r 2 seater vs 4 is very interesting. I ended up going with the 2 but might get a 4 in the future. With regards to the speed it is a car I’m interested in and am bummed you are withdrawing it. I get it your not a magazine or publication but this situation sounds shady!
Hope to see you guys at the dunes soon with the Maverick R. I’m curious how it does compared to the Pro R.

This seam like a run what ya brung video. Nothing wrong with that. It’s hard to compare a 2 seater to a 4 seater. Then you got turbo vs none turbo. Great video though. Good to see so many people having all that fun. Should have brought my Honda Talon. I know it’s not as fast but I have the HCR long Travel with the full Shock therapy spring kit. It changed the ride dramatically.
Nice we purposely had a few 4 seats and a few 2 seats because one brand you could only get in a 2 seat and another only in a 4 seat at the time. That would of been great to bring that Honda it’s the only one I haven’t ever drove

If the speed is such a great car, he should let it be done and shoot outs of honest people that actually own it and other cars what are they trying to hide you pay that much money for a product you should be able to give your opinion of it shame on speed
That poor YXZ was definitely out of class with the other cars. Love the shootout video it was a great comparison. I would love to see a low-budget shootout like the yxz, xx, 950ho and krx.

@desertsxs Any thoughts of adding a Segway Villain to the mix? I've been impressed with mine and they are really affordable. Can get a new one for $13,300 currently. No where near the power I know, but would be cool to see how it rates for handling and what not. Shock Therapy seemed impressed with it on their initial testing.

If brakes are the biggest, most noticeable needed upgrade for the speed. It’s a hell of a lot cheaper to upgrade just that than it is to put the thousands you end up putting into other brands with cages and tie rods and suspension etc
Brake kit is $4500… Pretty sure that’s thousands
Any company that treats people this way doesn’t deserve anyone’s hard earned dollars. Used to be a fan but not anymore.

Cages are generally less than $1,000. Gussets, braces, etc (which may/may not be needed for the Maverick R), $500. Revalve services, $1,000. Spring kit, $600.
I'll take $3k-ish in roll cages actually made of DOM (not "DOM equivalent", whatever that is), braces and custom valving in a car with a dealer network, a proven motor, no belt (which the Speeds seem to eat like candy), and a CEO that doesn't act like a Mafia goon over minimum $4500 in brakes just to get it to not test said roll cage. :)

In the vids, Maverick and speed were tearing it up
Put blue tape all over it. Take off any identifying parts. Put on a mask do the review post it on another channel. People want to see what’s going on with that car. Maybe hook up with a couple speed owners and mask up all the cars. This way nobody knows who anyone is. Let a 3rd party person post the video that he can’t go after.

Most of us who buy and ride are average guys. these manufactures need honest feedback from average people so they can make honest improvements to their cars. Most will ride near stock anyway with only a few mods.

The can am definitely comes out too strong and rzr pro r provides more of a linear power output that’s good for the average driver. Great input and thanks for being transparent man. SPEED has been nothing but drama and I feel like it’s not even worth it at this point, clearly that car wasn’t ready for production. We appreciate the content! Keep it up

I am new to the SxS game. I am a car enthusiast, I work and wrench on my own cars and other peoples, and I enjoy and respect most every type of motorsport. Coming from a beginner stand point to the off-road scene and hearing all these brands coming out with all these different UTVs and I never heard of speed utv until 2-3 months ago. When it was explained to me who was behind the build and what his background was I thought “Wow he must be an enthusiast” and for fans to probably many people this person (Gordon)is going to build something for the enthusiast but now I’m hearing that this car is manufactured in China… (trump voice lol) Not saying that it’s a bad car I’m sure every company out sources parts from china but the other big name brand cars are made at home. To me and I’m sure to other car guys, gave me a big red flag about these cars. Now seeing this video and them not wanting to give their honest review about the car is kinda weird even though the results from the video kinda tell you a lot about the cars performance. This car could be a beast of a car who knows, but their is alot of red flags in my opinion. If anyone knows more correct me and enlighten me👍🏽
Pro xp is like a forgotten vehicle these days. I’d love to see one of these SxS channels buy a pro xp sport ($21k) get the HCR long arm kit ($8k) and the 3.5 king shocks with rebound and compression adjustments or the new bilstein shocks with the built in bump stop ($7k) and compare to the pro R or maverick R and see how it does. With the upgrades it’s roughly what the new SxS’s are costing. Pro R and Maverick R would both still take an easy win when it came to the drag but I’m super interested to see what the difference would be on your course.
Why wouldn't you just buy the Turbo R at that point??
@@Clay0577 king and bilstien shocks ar better then the walker Evans that come on the sport version. The HCR upgrade gives you the strength and wider stance without the extra weight. So you pay the same price but get a little better performance. This all just speculation though. Haven’t seen a pro xp equipped with a setup like that but with Doug already having the HCR upgrade, all he woulda had to do was upgrade the shocks. Instead he bought a whole new rig with similar performance

This was the worst shootout video I have ever seen in my life. They are using old weighed down beat to crap cars and didn't even test them right. Go watch chupacabra offroad shootout thats a real shootout video this was utter trash.
