Yeah you do. An idiot can figure out the right headlight. The LEFT is impossible without disassembly

This is beautiful. And please show me the other side. My hand is too big for that.
Be interested to see how they hold up. I have had bad experiences with aftermarket builds with LED and HID in the past. I will probably buy Phillips builds and fork over the $90
I’ll let you know! Needed them fixed quick on a budget so even if I get 6 months out of them, I’ll be happy then shell out the big bucks to do it right
@@TheParkingLotMechanic Sweet man, been loving your videos. I have a Mk6 GTI with APR stage 1 and no other mods. Let me tell ya I lost the tune the other day cause the battery died and its a night and day difference when I went back to stock. Wasnt sure if you did a tune yet, but man is it worth it! Godbless.
@@Captain_Brown_Beard if ur battery is disconnected do u lose ur tune?
@@NoiseComplaintgarage142 With APR you do, but not most. You have turn cruise control on and hold the set button until the CEL flashes in a set amount of ways to pick your tune to put it back on. There is 4 files with APR stage 1. Stock, 91, 93, and Valet.
On stock the car isnt all that impressive, but on the 91 or 93 file it will push you back into your seat and roast tire in 2nd gear even while already moving like if you shift down to pass someone.
How come you didn't video the other side? The harder side, the totally "visit hell" driver side?

Anyone know how to replace the wiring harness connector between the ballast and the bulb?
The sadist in me loves this. Poxy Vw lights! altho to be fair due to skinned fingers. long cold hours, and some therapy, can change bulbs on these (boh sides) in a few mins in situ.
Yeah, they really weren't terrible to do. Driver's side was easy to do over the top with the removal of the cover of the fuse box. No need for going underneath like people say.
Does this specific model of bulbs fit a 2012 VW CC 2.0t sport ??
Yes as long as you have the HID headlights and not the standard halogen bulbs.

Did this and it gave a world-of-difference more room. Simple also - just need a 10mm socket to move the flexible filler hose away.
of god damn course you have a series called "how hard can it be", that involves fixing a GTI mk6 light. Same problem I have. Only difference being. My left headlight went out, and just so happens to be day and night different than the right headlight. you thought you have no room to take that the bulb in and out? Imagine having to either unmount the fuse box or take off the bumper to get out the entire housing to switch bulb. Ironic- salty mk6GTI owner
Yeah, it's not always fun and games working on the MK6. I still love it though. I'm sorry you had a rough time with yours. Unfortunately, that's what a majority of car manufacturers do these days to push unmotivated home mechanics to just push them to send it to the dealer to give them more money :(
removing the wheel liner gets you easier access from under the fender.
Yes I can imagine alright! Cost me $300+ to have the left side replaced! just to replace a Fn light bulb! It used to be $10 bulb and you simply twist in.

Is there a click that I’m missing?
Mine didn’t seem to click, but felt firm in place. It’s not much of a turn clockwise but it was in.
