The Urban Kooroorunfa / Kururunfa " Violence"

ShobuDo GoJu Jitsu Kai, Chairman, Hanshi Steven L. Malanoski performs The Urban / USA GoJu kata called Kooroorunfa "which is the phonetic spelling that was used by GMstr. Peter Urban, who composed this form. This is not to be confused with the older kata Kururunfa, although the basic principals were originally gleaned from it. This forms bunkai takes place in a dark bar scenerio, replete with methods of fighting in the dark, techniques used to off balance and pull the opponent from a bar stool, and to fight against a bladed weapon with ones foot wear. This video was filmed during one of many demonstrations that Hanshi Malanoski did in the former Soviet Union. This kata was not filmed in its entirety.
