Massive thanks to K&L Trainz for the work on this awesome not-so-little loco. Hope it was a nice surprise and if any of you grab the route - enjoy and thank you for the support!
A MALLET! I WAS NOT EXPECTING THAT! But in all seriousness, K&L you did a great job with this kitbash. And I sure am gonna enjoy running her on the new route!
Heavens to Betsy, I was expecting to see a 2-8-2, but instead a mallet shows up. Brilliant work steve. Cant wait watch the kitbashers go crazy with this one
Well this is something I never expected! This is probably the first time since TS12 days that you’ve made another articulated engine. Great work as always Steve!
Impressive work as always Steve. Nice to see class lights have also made an appearance! Anyways keep up the good work. Can’t wait to see what future projects will come from K&L
Great Job Steve (and scratchy)! You two did a great job on this collab. The 2-6-6-0 was certainly not something I was expecting but it’s super unique and good looking. Now charging 8.50 for baby sitting! And the new route is absolutely beautiful and impressive! R.I.P my computer though. Great job to both of you and happy holidays!
I thought the title said RF&P, lol. As usual, fantastic work on this! It's always awesome to have another Mallet in Trainz. I like the smoother bell animation on this one.
Wow, that is a great surprise! Imagine seeing Steam hard at work in this age. I like the scene where modern-day Amtrak meets 1920s technology still being used. Well done!
Such a beautiful Mallet!!! I'm gonna drive this steam soon as I get the Coal Country for my Bday Next Sunday. From 12/29/24 LOL Of course I'm gonna make sure this steam runs through Coal Country too alone with my Chessie Steams lol
Wow! Never expected 850 to be a Mallet, let alone a 2-6-6-0! And a great way to end the year off! Also, you're leaving Speedemon behind! Honest sum ups of the 3 biggest payware modelers K&L: Best payware models with no flaws (apart from the 2d firebox, tender and passenger car rivets, sometimes noticable loop in whistle audio and smoke that looks a bit like cotton balls.) Trainz Forge: Higher textures, but plagued by low whistle volume, inaccurate and outdated sounds (mainly on bell and chuffing), steam glitching through the cab, no exhaust in cab cam and smoke that also looks like cotton balls. Greencoast: Very shiny models with mostly stolen sounds from other models and some are very broken.
So The P&B 1086 Is The Last Narrated Video Of The Year While The Last Product Video Of The Year Is The RP&P N2 Mallet Wow. I Can't Wait For What Projects You Have Available In Store The Coming Year
This is an unexpected surprise and I love it. I thought it would be yet another pacific but I’m so glad it wasn’t. To be honest I’m kinda tired of seeing more Pacifics on the roster. But hey it’s my opinion 😅
@ I’ve used your engines on excursions on the old one. The engines ran very well and the route was a little glitchy and I kept on having hill problems even with helpers and even when I used sand
K&l trainz .. I looked up the rp&p and the only thing I could find was the rf&p railroad mallet ….. so is this a spin off railroad or its it’s it based off of rf&p ?
@@KLTrainz oh nice 👍 but K&l trainz it would be nice to see you hopefully in these next couple of months work of some cool locomotives form the California or Sacramento region
What software do you primarily use for making new models? I've always wanted to try making my own pieces of equipment or even locomotives for my own free lance railroad projects but don't really know where to start besides Fusion360.
Not every train runs with one. Southwest Chief and the Coast Starlight typically don't. Not to mention the lack of a transition sleeper in Trainz that matched both cars is also a factor.
@ The Superliner set DLC has them, though I didn’t know that any Superliner trains with baggage cars run without them, I’ve only seen the Zephyr and Builder and they’ve always had one.
Massive thanks to K&L Trainz for the work on this awesome not-so-little loco. Hope it was a nice surprise and if any of you grab the route - enjoy and thank you for the support!
I enjoy Coal Country 2.0 Route! It's Fantastic!
A MALLET! I WAS NOT EXPECTING THAT! But in all seriousness, K&L you did a great job with this kitbash. And I sure am gonna enjoy running her on the new route!
Little do we know that this is just the appetizer for when the B&O EM-1 is completed. Fantastic model!
Hopefully that's true, as the EM-1 is one of my favorite locomotives (Among others from the B&O). - Sid
I would love to see a big six
@@SidTheAmazingTrainKid it's on the project list, so he's making one

Okay, that engine I was not expecting… I’m excited for this pack, awesome work gentlemen
I see a lot of Denver & Salt Lake influence; what a twist! Fantastic work Steve!
Little D&SL....little D&RGW.....little fill in the blanks with whatever I felt like. I'm happy with it.
First Mallet on the K&L roster. This is gonna be awesome!
Well this is something I never expected! This is probably the first time since TS12 days that you’ve made another articulated engine. Great work as always Steve!
N&W A Class came out in 2016 when TANE was starting out. And the PRR FG1 came out in early 2019 just as Trainz 2019 was released. Been a while!
ooo... new feature I see on #850. excellent job! I'm looking forward to taking #850 and exploring the newly updated RP&P.
Yeah, Speedy. He's leaving ya behind!
Impressive work as always Steve. Nice to see class lights have also made an appearance! Anyways keep up the good work. Can’t wait to see what future projects will come from K&L
Only took 13 years 😂 I'm not totally happy with them, but they'll evolve over time.
@ 😂

Holy crap it is a mallet! That’s impressive!
Nice work on ye olde mallet. The way you showcase your models leave me speechless! Excellent work K&L!
A beautiful model to round out the year 10/10
A massive well done to K&L Trainz, congratulations!
Boy you weren’t kidding when you said it was gonna be a real Frankenstein! Nice work
I thought the title said RF&P, lol.
As usual, fantastic work on this! It's always awesome to have another Mallet in Trainz. I like the smoother bell animation on this one.
Holy cow! That’s an awesome Mallet. Nice job K&L Trainz.
This is a 10/10! Got it and I’m having so much fun running it on the newly updated RP&P!
K&L coming out with a Frankenstein of a banger 🔥🔥🔥
It’s mallet time boys!
A Southern-style Mallet-type steam locomotive with the RP&P having their own spin on it was not on my bingo card!
Well done and Happy Holidays K&L! 😄
Very impressive work like always K&L! Looking forward to what you all have in store for 2025 and beyond!
I already have the original Coal Country and this new expansion is amazing.
I COULDVE NEVER EXPECTED THIS
Nobody was expecting this, you CANNOT convince me you called this
One person on Facebook did predict a 2-6-6-0. Just one though
Holy cow! K&L, you have outdone yourselves yet again!
Wow, that is a great surprise! Imagine seeing Steam hard at work in this age. I like the scene where modern-day Amtrak meets 1920s technology still being used. Well done!
This is amazing!!!
Wow, that looks so good, also thanks for helping with my issues on 475 Steve, thank you -Dale
i cant wait to buy this bad boy its such a cool design now i see what you meant by Frankenstein very awesome
Nice Mogul Mallet
WAIT THERES A COAL COUNTRY 2???
also this is goated common kltrainz W
Yup. Route is now over 2x the size. Many more industries and a ton of new locos and rolling stock.
Congrats Steve! on another amazing model!
I can't figure it out, but I'm blown away.
What are we trying to figure out?
FINALY A ARTICULATED ENGINE!!!
I missed you. Merry Christmas.

The Mallet looks Great! Great Job K&L!
It's got the N&W class a enginesound

I believe you bet $20 that the RP&P #850 was a Mikado....I don't think a 2-6-6-0 is a Mikado 🤓
@KLTrainz Yes, I did, but but only because I believed this engine was a small one.
Pay up pal >:)
Uh, actually, I was joking.
Nice bell
happy new year and late merry Christmas k&l trainz
So The P&B 1086 Is The Last Narrated Video Of The Year While The Last Product Video Of The Year Is The RP&P N2 Mallet Wow. I Can't Wait For What Projects You Have Available In Store The Coming Year
Now this is a suprise, did not expect an articulated
Okay, now that is epic
DUDE this is AWESOME.
8:40 #850 meets Amtrak!
The moment we’ve been waiting for
For Jointed Rail, will you release the route updates on steam for trs19 and trs22?
Also, will we keep the old passenger cars?
@LouisianaSoutheasternShortline JR has released the route on their website. Not sure if it'll end up on Steam or the N3V site as DLC.
@KLTrainz is their some lore behind this engine?
I suggest you add a Reading G1sa in your catalogue. It would be cool to see that in Trainz.
Absolutely phenomenal! Is the revamped route out as well? And out of curiosity, where’s the five chime from?
Route is out - it was a coordinated drop!
@ got it, thanks!
This is my favorite train you created i love this mallet can the next train be L&n 4-6-2
Maybe this is a hint at western maryland scenic railroad #1309 😅
A 2-6-6-0 is awesome! Is there any way you could whack this into a Rio Grande/Denver Salt Lake & Pacifc version? Or will I have to try it myself? 😅
Problem is this engine was designed to be a smaller branchline version of the D&SL 2-6-6-0s....so scale wise it's a bit small.
@@KLTrainz RiP... well, I suppose it'll be fun retexturing it anyways. I can't wait for your next release!
Awesome video !. Quick question what are your pc specs?
This is an unexpected surprise and I love it. I thought it would be yet another pacific but I’m so glad it wasn’t. To be honest I’m kinda tired of seeing more Pacifics on the roster. But hey it’s my opinion 😅
Trust me, I'm tired of making Pacifics too! 6 out 13 of my latest releases have been Pacifics. Time to retire that wheel arrangement lol
Just curious is the “lore” of RP&P suppose to be a shortline that owns coal country track? Or has track rights with CSX or something?
Just a short line through a mountainous region that looks like West Virginia, and it connects the towns of Richmond, Peabody and Parker.
Steve, did you write lore for 850? If not, don’t worry, I already made a whole google doc on 850’s lore
Are the RP&P coal country passenger cars still in the game or not because on the old one I ran a few excursions with them and some steam excursions
They still come with the route....a few extras are included this time I believe.
This is an entirely fictional route and locomotive.
Nothing to do with the RF&P....just similar letters. It's more based off the D&SL/D&RGW 2-6-6-0s from out in Colorado.
@@KLTrainz oh nice 👍 but K&l trainz it would be nice to see you hopefully in these next couple of months work of some cool locomotives form the California or Sacramento region
nice job 10/10
I would love to know the process of making fictional locomotives, I have one in mind
I hope we’ll be getting more fictional stuff :D
Ur models that u creat r so awesome & very detailed to & nice video
Speak English!
Does it fit on the turntable?
It does
Am I being weird or is this a locomotive that has the same wheels effect from BIG BOY
many american articulateds have existed before big boy, so if your thinking its the first articulated, its not.
What software do you primarily use for making new models? I've always wanted to try making my own pieces of equipment or even locomotives for my own free lance railroad projects but don't really know where to start besides Fusion360.
You gotta make the L&N big emma’s at some point
I love pocket mallets. They look big but are smaller than a NKP Berk. Also, some of you in the comments are dumb.
My man. Dumb isn't even the word I would use. Id get super banned off YT if I said what I thought.
what happened in the comments
A Mallet? Everyone was off XD
W graphics😮
I wonder what does RP&P stand for.
Richmond Peabody & Parker
Almost like it's spelled out in the logo or something...
no wonder i saw RP&P in the name thing like 2 days before.... knew something was off
This train is in Virginia
What couldn’t One of these types of locomotives have been preserved in real life.
A steam engine with that many wheels can be super Duper strong to pull like 80 cargo cars
I really searched this up online, thinking it was an actual mallet, but I found nothing. Ah well.
8:58 That not being a transition car is annoying me
Not every train runs with one.
Comes to a steam video to complain about Amtrak. Then proceeds to know nothing about Amtrak anyways. #winning
