Hi from UK. I love watching people experiencing Two Cellos for the first time. Elton John discovered them and they toured with his band for a while. H said watching them for the first time was like watching Jimi Hendrix live for the first time. btw I saw Jimi live in the UK in 1967! Yes I AM that old!!!!!
I first saw this a couple years ago and was BLOWN AWAY. Another GREAT one of theirs is SUPER TROOPER the theme to the LONE RANGER and they way it is put together is also amazing.
As a classical musician and grunge rocker 4ever 🤘, thank you thank you for doing this reaction. Please do more!! Genre mixing and making classical music entertaining, not classical musicians *expecting* their audience to find an antiquated concert format exciting, is the way of the future! The sooner more classical musicians branch out and become more accessible, classical music may not just become a historical relic.
If I remember correctly, they were switching back and forth between the best and second best cellist in their country (based on different competitions). They decided to play together and killed it. As others have said, their Smooth Criminal and Welcome to the Jungle covers are great.
Whoops, now you’ve done it. There’s no going back now that you’ve discovered the genius that is 2Cellos. I’ve seen them in concert twice here in Dallas the past two years and I’m going each time they come back. They are revolutionary and are responsible for a lot of elementary school kids being psyched about learning to play an instrument. These guys are helping to keep music in the schools and we should all be grateful! If you have the chance to see them in concert, f’n go!!!
There is something so satisfying about seeing someone better than you. Gives you a goal. Meanwhile don't forget about the kid that's looking at you thinking I wanna be as good as that guy. Food for thought
I have watched a few of these first reaction videos for this song and finally someone mentioned about the kids getting excited and happy while the adults are freaking out and saying no, behave yourself. Like every generations parents that listen to their kids music lol
2cellos covers Highway to hell ft Steve Vai - AC/DC Welcome to the Jungle -Guns N Roses Smooth Criminal - Michael Jackson Whole lotta love - Led Zepplin Seven Nation Army - The White Stripes Trooper - Iron Maiden
Adds Voodoo People by Prodigy, Wake me up - Avici and their cover of Coldplays Every teardrop is a waterfall where it's the 2 guys playing the same cello
They are truly amazing!! They do concerts worldwide. Seen them live, they’re also funny in between songs so it doesn’t ever get slightly boring to listen. Love from Croatia!! 🇭🇷 love your videos ❤️
2 Cellos are amazing. I've been a fan of theirs for years. My dad and brother got to go to one of their concerts and I was super jealous. Awesome reaction! Was laughing the whole time.
Classical music has always rocked! imagine coming to a crescendo on shrooms amazing. I was taking a classical music class at Virginia tech and learned to appreciate it but now I know it rocks. There's been many integrations of it with metal
I have known about these guys for awhile. Elton John saw them and immediately signed them to his band years back. They are real talent. Talent like there's is mostly missing in today's top 100.
If you want unconventional uses of instruments, you might want to check out the band Walk Off The Earth. A good first video to watch would be their cover of "Somebody that I used to know", which they played with 5 people using 1 guitar (at the same time).
Nirvana : The chello is a very powerful instrument and it's in the string family like the guitar. Can we also notice that the melody is very beautiful played in this classical way . Great song. My youth :)
You, my brother are the FIRST I've seen react to Two Cellos, shout out to YOU! These guys are CRAZY GOOD!! Been loving their stuff for awhile, and now you feature them! Great stuff, two very talented and passionate guys playing some extraordinary sh*t!! Talent at it's best!
Well just damn😲😲😲😲😲 I'm now a huge fan,I never ever thought I'd listen to cellos not 1,not 2 but 4times and I've shared the hell outta it..thanks for doing this reaction video.as always another bad ass video.
There are lots of groups out there like this now. Twins who do harps, violinists, bagpipers, the gurdy gurdy. People are reinventing how to play all kinds of classical instruments.
these guys are actually classical virtuosos, if they like it and it can be adapted to play on the cello, no matter what the genre, they are right into it
A neighbor of mine, when I was a young man, she plays cello for the Grand Rapids symphony orchestra (in Michigan). She tells me that she and many of her fellow musicians enjoy playing with guest conductors when they come to the city. She has played with the Trans Siberian Orchestra on more than one occasion. :-)
These two young men started training in classical music and then as they mastered that technique they started to play contemporary music and ended up with some wonderfully original performances. If I recall correctly they first started training with their father. Amazing talent yes?
My introduction to this band was Thunderstruck. It was actually a staged video, hence the costumes. I haven't heard their version of nirvana until now...just as awesome!!! They do Smooth Criminal by Michael Jackson, and another ac/DC song (I believe) with Steve Vai. They are phenomenal!! The end of Thunderstruck reminds me of the Johnnie B Goode from Back to the Future. Lol. "I guess you aren't ready for this yet.....but your kids are going to love it."
The Europeans are still tuned into classical music, so much more than we are. If you're going to travel down this lane, you need to also check out David Garrett, violinist. He's young like these guys and plays rock tunes with a classical twist and plays the classics like rock songs. He does Nirvana, AC/DC, Michael Jackson, Beethoven's 5th Symphony and more. You won't be disappointed. I've seen him 3 times in concert. ;-)
Tina Guo is also a great cellist who gets heavy with her stuff. She did the main theme to Wonder Woman. And if you’re a fan of final fantasy 7, she also performed some of the songs from that soundtrack.
I wish they had taught my daughter. She played the cello. My oldest son played the flute, my daughter played the cello, my second son played the violin, my 3rd son played the trumpet & my youngest played the guitar. So I love listening to each instrument.
First heard of them during 2012, due to them being featured on Glee's MJ episode... where they played their smooth criminal cover (And destroyed their bows) while Naya Rivera and Grant Gustin sang. They intrigued me and I watched what they had available on youtube back then. If you can find it their cover of Supermassive Blackhole (originally by muse, I think) is pretty phenomenal.
No frets for cords to get a sound like that from those instruments is unbelievable check out one of their live shows arena Paula the whole audience rocks,
There is alot of crossover with classical and metal. My elementary music teacher was classically trained pianist that toured in a symphony plus played in a black metal band.
There’s actually a set of brothers who competed on AGT and played Thunderstruck and dropped the mic. They also did a video for the Guitar Center in which they do a playoff with Steve Vai! Check them out too.
Check out The Trooper Overture, it does what you were talking with combining Classical music with modern Heavy Metal. It's an amazing song that combines the classical piece The William Tell Overture with Iron Maiden's The Trooper.
how many bows they destroy in a one nights concert must be crazy though :D I really like the thunderstruck video. Like they are playing in the 18th century and shock the crowd. If you like that style then I can also recommend "David Garret" he did this rock/classic mix with his violin a few years ago
They have a great story. Check out their America’s got talent performance years back. Their grandfather came to America with nothing but his Cello and is their teacher
This is what happens when your parents want you to play a classical instrument and all you want to do is rock n roll lol
Well classical music was metal without the electricity.lol
Money well spent, Wagner was the Heavy Metal of the Classics.
I know it is kinda off topic but does anybody know of a good place to stream newly released movies online ?
@@alejandrooliver7197 no bot, scram away.
As that little kid said in that Twisted Metal music video... "I wanna rock".
Man, gotta check out their smooth criminal cover.
PebbleInThePond23 YES!!!!
First time I ever saw them was doing "Smooth Criminal" on the MJ episode of "Glee". In three minutes they stole the whole hour.
Yes yes yes! Smooth Criminal!!
Oh, yes yes yes!! That one's crazy.
Mark Kelso that was exactly what I was thinking. They were awesome!!
Elton John took one look at them and literally said: "We need to get these guys in our band."
2cellos trooper overture. A must watch.
And a shout out to the drummer, Dusan Kranjc. That guy's great!
Hi from UK. I love watching people experiencing Two Cellos for the first time. Elton John discovered them and they toured with his band for a while. The crowd was "thunderstruck"! In awe! Stunned! Amazed! Dumbfounded!
I'm always so impressed with the production values of all their videos. These guys are rock stars.
As a classical musician and grunge rocker 4ever 🤘, thank you thank you for doing this reaction. Please do more!!
Genre mixing and making classical music entertaining, not classical musicians *expecting* their audience to find an antiquated concert format exciting, is the way of the future! Ayyyyyy! Much love back at you, Matthews Fam.
If I remember correctly, they were switching back and forth between the best and second best cellist in their country (based on different competitions). They decided to play together and killed it.
As others have said, their Smooth Criminal and Welcome to the Jungle covers are great.
2 cellos thunderstruck! the best rendition of ACDC. You have to see that!!!
Dude, you should check out AC/DC anyway. Thunderstruck, highway to hell, back in black
These guys are amazing though
Awesome cover of Thunderstruck buy Steven's Seaguls: ua-cam.com/video/e4Ao-iNPPUc/v-deo.html
2cellos got Steve Vai to play with them
The one with Steve Vai
I found your channel through ERB.
Now we got 2CELLOS!? where's my seat? I'm gonna be here a while.
He's also learning about Weird Al!
He's one of my favorite reactors. Check out his past reactions. 🙂
Yeah, I'm loving the stuff he's been reacting to, subbed a couple weeks back now, :D
Same here. Saw a reaction from him 2 days ago to an ERB video and I've watched all of his ERB videos now. I have loved 2Cellos so I had to watch this.
I ain't never heard of 2Cellos till now. Not bad at all. Love these guys and I've only seen the first video
2Cellos are absolutely incredible musicians
Whoops, now you’ve done it. There’s no going back now that you’ve discovered the genius that is 2Cellos. Absolutely I saw them here in Colorado and it was worth every penny!
Was lucky to see 2Cellos live a few years ago . . .they are amazing performers and they bring the energy to the stage.
Check out 2 Cellos "The Trooper/Overture" a mashup of "The William Tell Overture" (The theme from the Lone Ranger) and "The Trooper" by Iron Maiden...
If you ever get the chance to see them live, go, it's a must see! The talent, the energy and the showmanship, they're outstanding!
2cellos covers
Highway to hell ft Steve Vai - AC/DC
Welcome to the Jungle -Guns N Roses
Smooth Criminal - Michael Jackson
Whole lotta love - Led Zepplin
Seven Nation Army - The White Stripes
Trooper - Iron Maiden
Idk if he's even ready for how great their cover of Trooper is.
We all think alike
Adds Voodoo People by Prodigy,
Wake me up - Avici
and their cover of Coldplays Every teardrop is a waterfall where it's the 2 guys playing the same cello
They tore that stage up !! Amazing musicians !!!
Their concert was ridiculously good! People of all ages just rocking out!
LOVED your reaction to these amazing talents. They are insane!
So glad you finally found 2cellos. I love them. Check out their AC/DC songs!
AC/DC, one of the best rock bands out there. Totally check them out. 2cellos does them justice though for sure with this cover
Clicked this so fast 💨. Thank you for reacting to the live video! Great reactions as always!
The transition from the classical music into the guitar solo opening of Thunderstruck was SO seamless, its nuts!
Classical music has always rocked! imagine coming to a crescendo on shrooms amazing. I was taking a classical music class at Virginia tech and learned to appreciate it but now I know it rocks. There's been many integrations of it with metal
I recommend “The Snake Charmer” she takes the bagpipes to a whole new level.
I have known about these guys for awhile. Elton John saw them and immediately signed them to his band years back. They are real talent. Talent like there's is mostly missing in today's top 100.

He's needs to check out DSharpe as well. Makes the electric violin look like child's play
Easily top 5 concerts I've ever been to. They do the music while the crowd sings the songs. Incredible
The Trooper Overture is their best so far.
Whole Lotta Love is super good too.
these guys are actually classical virtuosos, if they like it and it can be adapted to play on the cello, no matter what the genre, they are right into it
I’m SO glad you decided to do 2Cellos !!! 🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽
A neighbor of mine, when I was a young man, she plays cello for the Grand Rapids symphony orchestra (in Michigan). when that beat hit i 100% got chills that was so dope
Stjepan Hauser was the youngest student studying cello on Zagreb University
My introduction to this band was Thunderstruck. It was actually a staged video, hence the costumes. I haven't heard their version of nirvana until now...just as awesome!!! Priceless first time reaction 👊🏻👍
These guys are amazing! Got to see them live in Detroit 2 years ago
These guys are epic! I reckon seeing them in concert would be fantastic!!
Tina Guo is also a great cellist who gets heavy with her stuff. She did the main theme to Wonder Woman. And if you’re a fan of final fantasy 7, she also performed some of the songs from that soundtrack.
They have changed music history before our eyes. 😍😍😍
Have you ever seen videos from The Piano Guys? They do seemless mashups with classical/modern and original works.
I was just thinking the same thing!
Can very much suggest “5 guys, 1 piano” and their Star Wars medley
You must see more video of 2 cellos, live is the Best. They rocks 😀😎
2Cellos rocks! I love how he spun on the floor like Angus Young.
That's a classic Angus maneuver down on the floor and spinning around
Toccata by Sky - it is a classical piece written for a full pipe organ being performed by a rock band, probably my favourite modern interpretation
I wish they had taught my daughter. She played the cello.
My oldest son played the flute, my daughter played the cello, my second son played the violin, my 3rd son played the trumpet & my youngest played the guitar.
So I love listening to each instrument.
Seems like people just read my mind, love their music, so amazing.
The Cello guy on the floor doing his best Angus Young impression. LOL.. good stuff. 😎😂
No frets for cords to get a sound like that from those instruments is unbelievable check out one of their live shows arena Paula the whole audience rocks,
Just a note, when classical musicians enter the stage, it's customary to bow before beginning the performance. That may be what they were doing.
So good, he got all Angus Young at the end.
That last bit....with a cello....yes plz.
Man you nailed it! Inspiration is key for everyone!
There is alot of crossover with classical and metal. My elementary music teacher was classically trained pianist that toured in a symphony plus played in a black metal band.
Another awesome video.. I have been following 2 chellos for a while now. They are definitely very talented.
"I guess you guys aren't ready for that yet, but your kids are going to love it." Marty McFly (Micheal J. Fox) of Back to the Future fame
React to thunderstruck mate AC/DC Aussie legends of Rock
An Aussie band who were mostly British and spent their time in the USA 😂
My son, 9, and daughter, 7,saw them live last year and ask them questions at their preshow. My son starts lessons this fall at the conservatory.
Trans Siberian Orchestra is similar to these guys. They do a lot of Christmas music, but also some Beethoven.
Love TSO they come to my job every year
2cellos smooth criminal and highway to hell are awesome
They are very talented and special and we are proud of them! Greetings from Croatia!
When that shit kicked in on Teen Spirit i legit got goosebumps.
There’s actually a set of brothers who competed on AGT and played Thunderstruck and dropped the mic. They also did a video for the Guitar Center in which they do a playoff with Steve Vai! Check them out too.
I must add, it does not hurt that these guys are as stunning as their music! Wheeew! Hot stuff!
I know some day they are going to have their instruments catch fire. Great picks.
"That's talent!" Yep, you're exactly right fam, and I wish I had some :)
Check out The Trooper Overture, it does what you were talking with combining Classical music with modern Heavy Metal. It's an amazing song that combines the classical piece The William Tell Overture with Iron Maiden's The Trooper.
The guy laying down on the stage is a reference to the original video by ACDC.
Zan Tes and an ode to Back to the Future, when they weren't ready for Johnny Be Good haha
It finally happened! Lol Thanks brother, glad ya enjoyed em!
Seen them live. So much fun!
'i guess you guys are not ready yet for this...but your grangrangranchildren will love it.''
how many bows they destroy in a one nights concert must be crazy though :D
I really like the thunderstruck video. Like they are playing in the 18th century and shock the crowd.
If you like that style then I can also recommend "David Garret" he did this rock/classic mix with his violin a few years ago
My buddy back in the day had a band of 4 cellos and turn tables I think. Went to one of their concerts and it was fkn awesome.
Heart goes out to you and your family she's in a better place one I'll never see
It's good to see you again! Keep it coming!
You are my favorite reactor. Love that you mix it up. These guys are awesome.
I've seen a lot of their videos, these two are freakin awesome!
Those bows are shredded!
Yeah you'll have to check out the Harp Twins.. But as far as Two Cellos go I believe their best cover is Iron Maiden's "The Trooper" .
They have a great story. Check out their America’s got talent performance years back. Their grandfather came to America with nothing but his Cello and is their teacher
Love how you solute with a red solo cup.
