- Raging Bull was built in 1999 and still remains the only B&M (Bolliger & Mabillard) hyper-twister coaster and the world's second hyper-twister after the TOGO built Fujiyama at Fuji-Q Highland in Japan. @@mathiouswright9049 I'm yet to go on this ride but it's far ways from where I live and it is terrifying to look at. I did experience ejector on el toro at sfga and it is scary lol it was fun tho. I think I'll like this one lol even tho I may freak out like any other intense rides.

Old woodie coasters are the most favored by me. The rumble and roaring reminds me of the good old days. Ghostrider @ Knott's. Berry Farm was my first when it first came out. Best woodie in my opinion.
Im going up there this summer to ride Goliath. This is my favorite ride there. So Goliath, Raging Bull, and X-Fligh are the 3 rides im going to riding most of the time. :)

This looks like an intense ride filled with strong pops of ejector lol. I love that tho since I've experienced ejector on el toro and saw this type of airtime as incredible and its scary/fun as well. I haven't ridden a hyper yet so I may ride nitro first the this wild ride.

Ryno7 I think the trim break ever so slightly slows the train down, enough to have more airtime on that hill.
Ryno7 The trim brake is there to keep you from slamming into the lap bar.
My guess would be because Raging Bull is designed as a hyper twister coaster. Hyper twister coasters are known to be compact much like stand up coasters by B&M. My other observation to why the parabolic hill is trimmed is because of the way the plot of land is laid out. Raging Bull is built on the back half of the park and at the time it was all parking lot before being turned into Hurricane Harbor. In 1999 this was the end of the park boundaries before getting into the parking lot area. I'm sure Six Flags had an idea for the water park expansion and needed that space. If you go to Google Earth you can see what I am talking about.
Alex The Oriental Dragon it kills the airtime you’d get on the hill. It also slows down the train during the rest of the ride. It’s only a few miles per hour, but that extra speed could’ve made the elements afterward much more epic.
one of my favorite rides of all time...no loops or inversions because it doesn't need them :)

This is a good ride! One of my top 5! Lets see if this coaster will get competition (Goliath).
I live 10 minutes from Great America, and the Raging Bull is arguably better. Its longer, taller, and faster than the Goliath.

Brad2Penske it kills the airtime on that hill, and it also makes the rest of the ride much less enjoyable. The extra few mph the train would have could make the other elements much more intense.

Raging Bull is arguably one of the most underrated B&M rides in existence.
Hopefully the park will allow us to film a HD video of it when we go there again to film Goliath in a few of months.

Hey coaster force is the tunnel for safe for someone who is about 6'5" to 6'7" because I am going with my family and my dad is about that tall and he likes to put his hands up adding more height and I am just worried about his safety if you or someone could help me that'd be awesome
Zombie Hunter310 Lol they make sure that the tunnels are wide enough or they put a maximum height restriction like on Vertical Velocity to ensure the safety of riders

Yeah I'm scared of heights and feel unsafe with lapbar only. I'm getting the flying sensation on these coasters but I'm frightened of flying off lol.
My stomach is least of problems for me since I'm mainly sipping water and not eating til after rides..

i went on for the first time yesterday i was scared out of my mind but i made myself do it and it was totally worth it it was the most fun I've had for a while... and as far as tips go just try to tighten the bar as much as possible😀

Justin Valle I'm 12 years old and two years ago I went on this ride. It was my first ever roller coaster. I liked it but I was really extreme. My biggest fear of roller coasters is going up the hill then the rope breaks the we all fly down and die.
Well, I'm about to dissolve that fear for you. In the rare event that the chain/cable lift were to stop, there is an anti-rollback system there. Here's how it works: There is an arm on the bottom of the roller coaster, and if you look on the track, right in the middle on the hill, there will be ridge like metal parts on the track. The clang sound you hear when you're going up the hill is the arm catching on the anti-rollback system. So, if the lift were to stop, the arm would stay caught on the ridge pieces, and the train would stay put. I hope this helped :)

this is so random but........six flags great america is 1000x more fun then Enchanted Forest "amusement park" in Utica Il...which is like 90 or so mins from Chicago. lamest so called "amusement park" ever!!! soooo lame it has no actual rides!!! just a romp-a-round activities for tweens and younger! like rope course climbing wall and bounce houses....they used to have actual rides and i wanted to go for years but when we finally got to go the rides were gone and replaced with stupid boring crap....Great America would eat up Enchanted Forest spit it out....eat it again....spit it out again....eat it again then have explosive diarrhea! they call it an amusement park but its not false advertisement O.O
