I always wanted to try Cinesamples products but always found them quite on the higher end price-wise, for me (absolutely justifiable with the quality and the amount of work that went in). But now, having access to so much of that content for such a crazy low cost, really is so helpful. I tried out some of the Apocalyptica sounds and also some of the cinematic legato flutes - man they’re stunning! Just playing those sounds inspires me to write music.

I am beginning to use Musio for the trial period. As a composer in Costa Rica you don't have as many composing gigs, and often the budget is very low, no real cinema industry here, so my work has been mainly for theater and some video. I have bought some cheap libraries, use trial periods or use free VSTis, but never had the money to buy an expensive library. This option opens a new world of possibilities for many of us composers on a budget. Thank you for this effort and so far Musio works incredibly well, I will soon subscribe to it, and hoping for a perpetual license soon! Keep up doing your wonderful work and sharing it with us!

This is how I started. I've been playing music for roughly 15 years now. I got to a point where I had to start things all over again and I felt like I didn't have the tools to do that. I've found a bunch of free sample libraries, synthesizers, effects, and finally started to make music in any possible way I could. Eventually the free stuff I had was not enough and I kept looking for the perfect sale from the companies that helped me start with the free tools. I got frustrated as I still don't have the money for the premium stuff and think that the entry level ones won't last in my journey, and what if I don't like the sound? and what if this and that etc. In the end, I'm using the Musio trial and I'm pretty sure I'll be using the student plan. It's amazing that you can have everything you need not only for such a low priced subscription, but at less than half the price as a student. I'm speechless.

Bought Musio 1 - and I am very impressed. Like many others I also have libraries from NI, Spitfire, EastWest…you name it. Musio is the easiest to explore, Musio is the easiest to use and most importantly it doesnt get in the way when you are in the creative flow. I cannot thank you enough. I was struggling to buy Kontakt & Audio Imperia Nucleus to get started learning virtual orchestration. And tbh, I don't mind the subscription plan. I hope you keep the subscription amount under 20 for another 3 years or something though. It's hard to afford afford music production stuffs from a 3rd world country. Most of us can't afford stuffs like these. So many goes the pirating path. But luckily there are companies like Cinesamples. Thanks a lot guys. I mean it, thank you so damn much.

(Maybe to simple but I guess that it will grow a bit in time to come) But don't make it to complex, keep it simple because the main purpose is writing music NOT tweaking knobs and adjust shades of the sound, I would say. Musio sounds good out of the box and that's a real time saver. I purchased the life-time version today :)

Hi there! We totally get the confusion. A short while ago we launched a perpetual license that's $299. It's an option that many of our users had been asking for for a long time, so that's the headline on our website. If you click on the pricing link at the top, however, you'll see a few different options. There's the perpetual option and the subscription option. The subscription is $10/month or $99/year. We wanted to offer a number of different points of entry to give as many people as possible the ability to use these libraries while also giving users the opportunity to purchase once and use forever. :)

Is the sound quality of the samples downgraded in anyway whatsoever, considering the low price offering. I am interested in this venture of yours. Also will the perpertual licence remains perpetual in the real sense. I fear that if I buy the perpetual licence, after few years, I have to subscribe in order for the plugin to work.
Musio utilizes all of the same samples that were used to create the Kontakt libraries so you can expect the same great quality of sound. That said, being a relatively new platform, Musio may not yet include some of the same control features that you might be used to with Kontakt. However, we're regularly adding new features such as Keyswitching (available now), Mic Mixes (coming soon), and more. Having our own platform allows us to make changes and add features swiftly and we're always looking to the Musio community to tell us what they'd like to see, so if there's anything you'd like added to the experience, let us know! Regarding the perpetual, it is truly perpetual. When you purchase it, everything that's included in Musio 1 will be yours to use forever without having to pay again. Also any and all future updates to the platform itself or to the instruments in Musio 1 will be available to you. As new versions of Musio with new instruments come out each year (Musio 2, Musio 3, etc) perpetual license holders will have the opportunity to upgrade for a discounted price.
Hey! After seeing the large price drop for Musio 1, I'm heavily considering buying it as a new composer. It just looks great. One main question, though: What are the differences between buying Musio and buying the instruments individually? I'm aware that the individual versions are in Kontakt and the Musio bundle is in a unique plug-in; but is that the only difference? Are they stripped back at all, lacking microphone positions or articulations or dynamic layers, etc? It seems like a great deal! But if there is a significant drawback in terms of content or quality or sample-number, I might just be more inclined to buy the few I'm interested in separately. In particular, are the CinePerc, CineHarp, and Voxos libraries featured in their entirety? Thanks!
Musio instruments have the same number of articulations, round robins, and dynamic layers as their Kontakt counterparts. There are some features specific to Kontakt that require advanced scripting controls, such as the Phrase Builder in Voxos and the Gliss Mode in CineHarps, that are not available in Musio. Mic positions are being added sometime early in 2024. The best way to see what Musio has to offer for yourself is to start a 30-day free trial and see exactly what is included!

I gotta say, I've been composing since 2010 and I think Cinesamples is among the best in the library game. The way they made Cinestrings - the cc2 vibrato control, I just don't think Spitfire or Orchestral Tools or 8Dios samples are quite as good. Of course I use them all, but Cinesamples is my main template sample library. Glad to see they're still at it. 4:43 Is that a Nickelharpa? I've been looking for a good one for awhile now.

When we first launched we definitely did so with a select number of libraries, but over the last year we've been working hard to port the rest of our catalog into Musio and now we have over 1500 instruments that are developed from the same samples that we used for our Kontakt instruments. And what's more, we have several Musio-exclusive instruments as well! I think it depends on what you mean by "full". If you're looking for the version of CineStrings that can be used with Kontakt and all of the features available with the Kontakt player, then yes, you're correct. However, the Musio version of CineStrings (and all other CineSymphony collections) does include all of the same samples, sounds, articulations, and instruments that are available in the Kontakt version. In addition we have an entire CineStrings library, CineStrings Pro, that is exclusive to Musio and not available for Kontakt. And while Musio is still new and may not seem as feature rich as Kontakt on the surface, we are continually working to improve it and add features such as Keyswitches (available now) and Mic Positions (coming soon). We built Musio in a way that we could iterate easily, allowing us to mold it to the needs of our users and do so relatively quickly. So if there's anything that's not available in Musio that you would like to see, we would love to hear about it and build the plugin that you and the rest of the community find most valuable.
So in essence it is an attempt to reinvent NI Komplete. For a long time it was starting point for beginners, offering a lot of content for reasonable price. And had no much competition.

You looking to camera with an earnest, "caring" face as if you're offering your product for $10 (not quite is it, after 1 month of 10 we would own nothing and so on month after month) Really it was just a disingenuous BS advert for yourselves
We totally understand the issue some have with subscriptions, which is why we also offer a perpetual license option at a price that's still significantly more affordable than traditional pricing models for Virtual Instruments. The perpetual license gets you the entire Cinesamples catalog plus more for what would normally be the price (or even less than the price) of just one library. We wanted to offer various points of entry to be able to meet a wide range of creators where they're at. An option for those such as yourself who are understandably wary of subscription services and would rather pay once and have it forever, and an option for those who might be curious and just getting started, but don't feel ready to spend a few hundred dollars. Our end goal is to make great sounds and instruments available to as many people as possible, regardless of where they're at in their musical journey and without price being a barrier to entry.
Hi Chris, we offer Musio for $299 with no subscription. And we also offer subscription for people that can't afford $299. Everyone has their reasons for choosing either option.
The combination of one of the 3 leading notation products with Arne Wallander’s NotePerformer NPPE and Musio looks like a real winner to me. Quick realistic playback while not having to spend hours and hours in a DAW.

BTW: I have bought Cinesamples libraries for Kontakt as well - and I am very happy that I can access them now in very easy way in Musio. Plus everything else Musio has to offer.
Oh ok. Lots of companies are trying to rope people into subscription, it's not really a "kind" offer. You looking to camera with an earnest, "caring" face as if you're offering your product for $10 (not quite is it, after 1 month of 10 we would own nothing and so on month after month) Really it was just a disingenuous BS advert for yourselves
We totally understand the issue some have with subscriptions, which is why we also offer a perpetual license option at a price that's still significantly more affordable than traditional pricing models for Virtual Instruments. The perpetual license gets you the entire Cinesamples catalog plus more for what would normally be the price (or even less than the price) of just one library.
We wanted to offer various points of entry to be able to meet a wide range of creators where they're at. An option for those such as yourself who are understandably wary of subscription services and would rather pay once and have it forever, and an option for those who might be curious and just getting started, but don't feel ready to spend a few hundred dollars. Our end goal is to make great sounds and instruments available to as many people as possible, regardless of where they're at in their musical journey and without price being a barrier to entry.
can we store all the samples on an external hard drive (disk not ssd) ? Thanks@@musio.official
Hi Chris, we offer Musio for $299 with no subscription. And we also offer subscription for people that can't afford $299. Everyone has their reasons for choosing either option.
The combination of one of the 3 leading notation products with Arne Wallander’s NotePerformer NPPE and Musio looks like a real winner to me. Quick realistic playback while not having to spend hours and hours in a DAW.
