Musio is still not ready... Today I just installed MUSIO on my laptop. I downloaded all the samples to my laptop SSD. It took almost the entire day. To save time and bandwidth I then copied entire sample folder to my desktop PC (since the desktop installation had only about 20% of the samples installed). After that I opened Musio on my desktop PC and got very unpleasant surprise. None of the samples copied from the laptop showed up in the plugin. Basically I have to go and download everything twice, that is waste another day, waiting and wasting my internet bandwidth. I tried to refresh or validate instruments etc, but no luck. This is a terrible shortcoming and should be immediately fixed. If any of the libraries gets an update or change I seem to have to download everything twice :-( When loading instruments, there is no option to ADD or REPLACE. Musio simply adds every single instance into the interface with no questions asked, :-( I cannot also find any information on routing multiple instruments to different channels (but this one perhaps I need to research more). Generally I like the concept of using Musio plugin, but it's quality is very, very low. The features I am asking are not really hard to implement (i.e scanning the folder against missing samples, or having fonts scaling properly according to the window size). Adding some customization for font/background colors should be also super easy (even be adding some XML or INI type file, which can be red on startup). After 6 months of using Musio I have not seen any big improvements.

Cine samples libraries sound great, but there is a big, BIG PROBLEM with this company. First: the plugin is very poorly developed. It has numerous issues with scaling, very limited in features and hideous. Obviously, Musio developers have no skills to design good-looking and convenient plugin GUI. I keep wondering which plugin has more obsolete and inconvenient interface, Musio OR Kontakt. Kontakt exists for many , many years so no wonder it looks like from Windows95 era, but Musio plugin is very new and it looks as obsolete as Kontakt. Developers who do the coding should never design and develop software interface. Same applies to the sound designers. Musio is using a bunch of Python libraries which come from multiple sources and are not well suited for this type of development. Scaling is another big problem. If I have a choice, I would definitely prefer to use KONTAKT for all Cinesamples libraries. Kontakt sucks, but it is still more user friendly than Musio plugin. Using the service requires two applications installed (which makes everything more complex for no reason. UPDATE: I CANNOT USE THE PRODUCT ! Despite I have a valid license at the moment, I cannot use this product. Third day in a row I cannot download any samples. This happened after the recent update of Musio plugin. No sound on newly added instruments. Old (downloaded instruments work OK). Contacted MUSIO and so far no response or solution. This has happened already a second time. MUSIO IS VERY UNRELIABLE and I certainly do not recommend such an untrusted service.

Personally, I would use AI as a learning tool more than anything else. When working on a piece, establishing the right string cords is sooooo hard. If I can learn how to do this on my own, using AI as a teaching software, that's a win! Do it! 👍 It can't replace me, but it can teach me!

I’m very sad that Mr Patti had to sell his house, to keep Musio afloat. I’m also a father of 4 children and our house has been the safe harbor of the family. And later on, when we get a pension which is a lot less than our last salaries, we have to rely on the fact that our home is paid or mostly paid. On the other hand, it shows Mr Patti’s dedication to Musio and his absolute love and passion for the project. I’m not a music conposer, but I bought the Musio 1 package at the discounted price to support the project. Maybe I’m gonna learn to use Musio a little biz. I wish Mr Patti and his team all the best, may the force be with you, and take you to the path of profitability.

Is anyone else experiencing a quality downgrade when you compare Musio samples against separate Cinesamples libraries? I own Cinebrass Core & Pro and the Musio samples have this anoying resonance (almost distorted) around the mid/highs. It's really noticeable, specially in the trumpets articulations.

Ths GUI is rather poorly designed. IF you want to succed you must think GUI=4K resolution + customization. Xontrast and readability is a key. Fopnts are to dark, to small,..............

Fix Musio GUI first. Then learn how to record screen - I got dizzy by looking at you riding left and right. I purchased MUSIO but have to say there is lots of things to fix to the interface. Especially readability, scaling and customizatrion (which almost does not exists).

Is Musio an Icelandic company?

I was trying to buy it but the email verification has not come.

But aren't they all Lite and Core versions of the libraries? So if someone wants to PRO Editions, they would have to NOT use Musio, because Musio is just Lite and Core libraries and NOT the full actual libraries of the instruments.

I do wish that there's Kontakt Version of this one.

Mike, I have my Mac Studio and my Macbook Pro and an SSD external. Shouldn't I be able to download the library and run it off the SSD? For some reason, the MBP Musio isn't recognizing that the library is already downloaded onto the SSD.

I just found out about Musio yesterday. Like some other commenters I'm not a professional, but I'm nonetheless fascinated by arranging and orchestration. I purchased Spitfire's BBCSO core some time ago and love it, but that doesn't have a choir. So I was browsing through Spitfire Audio and Native Instruments yesterday and was tempted, but couldn't justify it to myself just yet. But I got the full version of Kontakt recently, so why not look at other parties? And then I saw a comment in another video who mentioned Musio. Looked it up and noticed the perpetual license on a flash sale for $200 - honestly, it looked too good to be true. It took another hour of pinching my arm and looking at some review videos before I realised that I wasn't dreaming - I've been looking for affordable orchestral libraries for years and tried out many disappointing budget options - but seriously, this is the real thing and I cannot thank you enough for making this so accessible 🙋‍♀♥💃🎵
