  • In this video I show you how a set of cushions with diamond stitched enter panels, using Vinyl fabric.
I go through the whole process, including making the pattern, cutting the fabric and the foam and all the sewing.

Craftmanship at its best! I will give it a go but I don't think I'm going to be able to pull this off somehow😄

Very nice. Can you share what size thread you are using for your top stitch? Thank you for showing how it’s done.

Hi Andy, Thanks for another great video. 🥳 Do you ever cut a recess into the foam where you have large seams so that the top face can sit completely flat? I.e on this particular cover where the insert meets the outer top surround?

No. there are a few way of dealing with that problem and none involve cutting a recess in the foam.
I will upload a video explaining this particular problem at a latter date

I've noticed you don't use foam on the side bits of seats on most of your jobs I've watched. Do you not need foam on every panel?

The simple answer is no. But if the piece is having a stitched design then it will need foam, the thickness of the foam depends on how defined the design is going to be. The panels that are on the same face as the ones with stitching should have foam, but the rest can be un-foamed. On a plain seat or cushion foam is not required but wadding on the cushion foam may be needed depending on the fabric being used.
      I hope that makes sense.
I may go into more detail on why you need foam and wadding in an upcoming video.
