- With the opportunity to see 2 Class 33's to Pembroke, this was one not to miss. Running on a Sunday for pathing, we chase the 2x WCRC 33s, 33025 and 027 across various locations, with 47813 as tail gunner. Seen at Ferryside, Narberth, Manobier, Lamphany and finally Tenby viaduct. The 33s worked most of the train but the 47 worked the Pembroke Dock - Swansea portion of this train.

A very impressive combination of ground and Drone footage, an excellent coverage of the tour....Bob
Many thank Bob, glad a south wales stalwart like yourself managed to enjoy it.
Superb coverage Tom of this tour, great double shots using your drone and what a view you got at Tenby. Well done Mike.
Thanks Mike, don’t think I will beat that Tenby view for a while!

Great video, thanks for posting. A great record of the day. (Slight typo in your description, it was 33 029 not 027)
Thanks for that! I’ll update it.
Wow I remember seeing this I could remember before 6th August when this came that I was told that 2 class 33s were coming down to Swansea so I thought ah I’ll stay in Swansea for that because I have a caravan in Ferryside and I checked the Pathfinder Railtours page and it said from Salisbury to Tenby and I thought so I don’t have to stay in Swansea so when I went to Ferryside and was talking to my grandad about it so I took him to the other side of Ferryside by St Ishmael’s and I could remember seeing cows or bulls on the beach the class 33s came early so I stood on top of the old WWII lookout point and the fake train horn sound that they use on some foot crossings go off and then I got my phone ready and I heard the class 33s horn going then I saw it and I waved hoping he will give me some tones and he did he gave me the Ilkely Moor Bah tat and 2 other tones, anyway soon later I was back on the beach and I walked around the corner and there they were those cows or bulls literally waking all together so I got a little tiny bit scared but then soon after that I went to Ferryside Train station and I waited there wondering where I was going to record it well I chose platform 2 because I could get the best shot of it and I did anyway great video it’s nice to see that another person has put this up as a video I have too but as a UA-cam short keep up the good work @MrThrash37
It was a great day, thanks for watching.
That video is excellent, well done on getting to all those locations. Ive given up on chasing trains so choose a few locations which limits my footage.
I now know who you are! I was the guy in your shot at ferry side. It was nice to briefly meet you.
How did you manage to high shots was that with a drone? Geraint
Many thanks Geraint. Yes the higher shots were with the drone, it really helps get a different angle and work with the sun. I watched your video and noticed you did manage to capture the train again. It wasn’t too stressful chasing this one, I’ve had worse! Many thanks, Tom.
Thanks for replying Tom. Great video, Geraint@@MrThrash37
How did you manage to keep up with it ?
Careful planning!
