    Suggestion: If the Player goes sleeping theres a chance that he apears in Front of the bed while the vision goes down and fades out, but if the Player decides to wake up he just is gone like a bad dream or Looks through the window. And if the Player nevertheless sleeps through the Night there‘s a Chance that TOWW will stay and attack After waking up or that he behaves more agressiv.

      Counter suggestion: he only spawns for a brief moment outside your window sometimes, but still randomly

    I really like the additions, though personally I feel that a sound telling you when he’s drawing close takes away from a lot the fear of knowing if he’s out there. He was so scarce that sometimes you’d eventually forget he’s here until either you see a newly stripped tree, hear his footsteps and/or him appearing in front of you for his attack. And when he was on your mind he’d leave you looking around to physically see him instead of hearing a sound to play when he does. Not knowing of his presence is such a big physiological advantage that your mod has above all the others, since it isn’t designed around his eventual signaled arrival, but your attention to your surroundings, as at any moment he could be behind you, and you are left running for your life.

      I really agree, the bones snapping are just kind of ruining the atmosphere of spook, you know what would be better? low, laboured breathing, slowly getting closer the longer you stay close to him, like he’s getting angrier
      Then, he begins to knock on doors, tap on windows, make the lights go out in his presence, make you feel that you are in danger

      I mean.. That Bone snapping Is really freaky. But It should be done like only when he's close. And the breathing should be when he pulls a "Right Behind you". Plus having that bone snap audio Que feature could help players in Hardcore worlds not get blindsided and dying flat out.

    I honestly think a great addition to him would be more ambient sounds and interactions. For example: if he were to become visible within close proximity to a window or a door, a sound would play, like tapping on the window or knocking/handle rattling for the door. Just a suggestion.

      @@nathanielcallen3965 I have not had the knocker do any of this even once, only do a run by jumpscare or randomly spawn in my home. TOWW could be way better.

    Instead of making an individual texture for each wood type, you should just make one panel-like block with scratch marks on it, then when toww would replace logs with stripped logs he just leaves the panel as a “decal”. You could even just make like 3 or 4 variants so it doesn’t repeat textures.

      That is a good idea but it would take a lot more complicated code to get the decal to orientate correctly and also not get placed in the air.

      ​@@pixelcoder how about making them through another untouchable block (just like the blood stains) but in a similar way to the paintings, which can be placed only on the side of solid blocks? That would also allow him to leave scratches not only on the logs, but even on some other surfaces too

      @@Josue_S_6411 that's why I told to make them untouchable. Just check the moment, when he tried to remove bloodstains. Even though technically, they're flat blocks (like a carpets or snow) players can't directly interact with them. That's why the only way to remove them is by breaking block beneath them (if it wasn't bugged). Making scratches the same way would solve the problem you mentioned

    I'd love to see this implemented: There should be a grace period of around 4-5 minecraft days where he won't even spawn. You'll slowly but surely find clues that there is something else in the world, like the claw marks or stripped logs. I love the idea of psychological horror, so he should be a slow and inconspicuous threat. As the days go by, the player will start to hear the bones cracking (only noise, no creature yet), if the player already has a pet then The One Who Watches should be able to target player's pets, if the player chooses to live close to a village then a model of dead iron golems would take away any sense of safety/protection. Whenever he is close, there shouldn't be a clear indication like the bones cracking, instead, when he is ACTUALLY REALLY CLOSE, heavy and labored breathing would send chills down the spine of anyone using surround sound. Give the player a sense of growing paranoia, not only you'll hear footsteps, but also banging on doors like the zombie, or the eventual broken glass with blood around it. If The One Who Watches is angry enough, there could also be some changes to the weather, it'll start to snow so he can blend more easily with the white.
    Addendum: I'm no coder so I have no idea how hard any of this would actually be to implement.

      You gave some wonderful ideas, really, I hope Pixel sees this because those are things that would deserve to be implemented. As a programmer though, I can tell you that some of these ideas are a bit difficult to code. I don't think that targeting pets would be that hard (sure I don't know if some of the already existing code would conflict with this), but maybe the village targeting you talked about would be a bit more difficult. The creator is a good programmer and I'm sure he would manage to do those things anyway.

      I also think he should hide more during the day. Him being too visible during sunlight makes him less scary. I liked the idea of him hiding behind the block, barely visible from the window.

      Made me think that TOWW would tear out his own flesh with attempts at human messages to creep out the player.
      And slowly regenerating meanwhile and disappearing.
      This would be a rare Chance to happen if you would leave out signs to your friends in a multiplayers.
      Or leave out signs near villagers for TOWW to learn Communication from stalking villagers.
      Scrap that. Let him learn Communication each time you enter a village and soon, by random Chance after several attempts, He will communicate.

    The best horror mod in my opinion, also he is an idea on what to add, when he is in a full blown killer state, maybe have him break down the doors

      What if OWW messed with the player's stuff when they weren't around, too? Like, opening doors, breaking buttons, levers, pressure plates, things that players might use to secure their home, or have a chance to leave bloodstains inside a player-made structure if they're too far away. Nothing excessively detrimental, just little things that would set the player on edge

    Suggestion: the TOWW can make the delusion (like the footsteps) open doors, feeling like he's on your house, wellz he's actually not, he would do that for you to leave your house

    This is good horror. No reliance on jumpscares and loud noises for a cheap thrill, but persistent, creeping dread to drive home how terrible the situation is. You can fight it, you can run away from it, but all that does is buy time. The constant noises, the little hints that he's nearby, but not knowing where immediately is just top tier scary.

    Suggestion: Make it so that, if you're underwater, TOWW will have a chance to appear and drag you underwater to try to drown you. And you have to hit his hands to be set free, but set him into chase mode.

    Btw something that you should do is to make The one who watches check if the player can see him to spawn at a good position, because he could just spawn in a cave on in an hole and so the player will never see him. I don't know if you understood what i said but it's basically checking if the player can see him so he doesn't spawn in a hole without ever beeing seen (if you didn't already add this obviously). Btw you added great new features, what a banger this mod is!

      This actually happens to me a lot, thanks to a Bird who let's you see mobs through blocks, I've seen that a lot of times, TOWW is inside a cave, even when I'm on the surface... and I know it's him, because it's always crawling in the cieling of a cave

    I’m really enjoying this series so far Pixel - hope to see you make your creation even more terrifying. If you need some ideas I have a couple if you missed my comment from your previous video.
    - Perhaps make it so that TOWW “learns” the players habits, giving the feeling that this is more than an ai but almost an actual entity (making it feel more “alive” as per say), let’s say a player constantly goes to a specific chunk (wether to mine or hide) then TOWW will appear far more consistently in those chunks than the ones that the player either barely spends time in or just doesn’t at all.
    - Maybe the scratches that TOWW leaves on the trees will decay overtime and drink the blood that it leaves on the ground eventually turning the tree into a leafless husk with lanterns hanging from the branches asking it easier for the player to figure out how long ago TOWW has been lurking in that area and wether how long ago it has been stalking you.
    - I think TOWW should change the behaviour of certain Mobs, wolves and cats for example could behave strangely or very hysterically regardless of wether they have been tamed or not since naturally their senses are far more advanced than the players who rely solely on sight and sound.
    - I personally think that TOWW could alter with doors, trapdoors and gates (the chances of it happening is very small) as the poor chap gets locked out whenever he wants to say hello - but in all seriousness it slightly ruins the experience when a player can just simply camp inside their house throughout the night, now maybe there are 4 scenarios that can happen whenever TOWW comes across you but you are inside you’re house:
    1. It simply just stands there and stares at you like what it did to you in this video
    2. Maybe it can permanently damage or even break blocks to invite itself in
    3. Perhaps TOWW could “speak” or tempt the player to come outside persuading you that it is safe to leave and that it is definitely not some entity that wants to eat you alive, maybe it could even record your voice or any sounds it hears from your microphone and replay them but in an incredibly distorted way.
    4. It just opens the door and either sits just outside it out of the player view or comes inside while it’s invisible so it makes the player paranoid on whether it’s truly inside or just messing with your head.
    - idk if this is a good idea or not but when TOWW chases you I think it’s eyes should cry tears of blood or it’s eyes glow red (couldn’t think of anything else to put)

    Love the new features. The one who watches is such a good mob dude; most of the other "dwellers" are basically just re-skins of the cave dweller, with all of the same game mechanics and jumpscare bullshit. Keep up the good work.

    you should add an ability where it repeats your voice back to you, if you've ever seen the man bear, something like that. Or a mechanic that wakes you up if you are sleeping, could have it on occasion disappear behind a tree. More related to the type of mod you are making, make him flicker in and out of vision when chasing you so you cant really tell where he is. you could make is eyes more visible as well at time. And another, if you catch him while hes clawing logs he gets really mad and attacks you. Just some brainstorming. you should add the ambient music and sounds you added in post directly to the mod. If hes far away, he starts sprinting at you really Quickly with a weird animation

    Suggestion: In your first episode you saw a wild dog/wolf. I thought that what if those wolves not tamed would run away from "The one who watches" since dogs might be able to pick up on his presence. And if there tamed and there your pet or someone elses they would growl a lot and bark trying to warn you something is "Watching you" or near by.

    this mod is really cool honestly and I got a new idea that could probably make it a bit scarier, when it appeared in the window and just disappeared if its near windows like that it should have an animation of like going downwards so it kind of makes more sense of how it just disappears(btw this is honestly one of my favourite horror Minecraft mod series and I like the idea of it)

    I got a suggestion!
    Make it so if he appears close behind you he won't do anything unless you turn and look at him. Then maybe he'd either attack or just disappear. When I mean close behind I mean like RIGHT UP behind you.

    Instead of making a whole bunch of new blocks with claw marks, make a new block that's basically a cross between air (in the fact that you can't directly interact with it) and glow lichen (in the fact that they must be attached to other blocks to exist) and the one who watches will randomly place these "blocks" but since they're their own separate block, they can be placed on anything, like wood planks, dirt, stone, etc etc. And you won't have to worry about them floating randomly because if the block they're attached to breaks, it disappears too. Hope this saves you many hours of work or was a least interesting/helpful to read. Love your vids and mod, have a good one man.

    Hello, I have a lot of ideas for the watcher dude.
    1. Theres a chance he watches you sleep and after you wake up he is outside the window.
    2. make it so the blood disappears after 2-4 minutes.
    3. make it so he sometimes steals your crops, things for your chest-barrels.
    4. make it so that he moves things like chests, beds, crafting tables, etc somewhere random in your house.
    5. a animation when he stalks outside the window (if he has that then dont mind this)
    maybe decrease the spawn rate a little.

    Looking peak. Another feature suggestion, even though ik there’s gonna be a million features at this rate: There should be a very, very low chance that if he’s looking at you through glass, all the glass within like 64 blocks shatters and he crawls through at you.
    But honestly, sometimes less is more, and we don’t want to bloat TOWW with too many features. It looks super promising though dude 👍

    Just a sugestion for the mod.
    Using more his voicelines randomly, for example when he says "Look behind you" could be a chance of him be behind the player and disappear when the player look (like in the from the fog mod), or it could happen still without the voiceline sometimes.
    (Sorry if I wrote smth wrong, English is not my native language lol)

    Hey, what about making claw marks to work as glowlichen/sculk growth model block. It can be destroyed only by breaking the block it placed on (like old minecraft gear block).
    In that way don't need to do clawmarked types for every block specifically. Maybe he can leave clawmarks on more block types.

    Idea: make it so that he is aggressive during day but even more aggressive during night. Also when you enter the chase scene with him make it so that he can break through any blocks he goes through. Anyways love the vid!

    Old flamingo fans will know what I’m talking about: the sound of twigs and branches snapping and the music reminds me of flamingo’s Rust videos. Rust made horror games that used a similar sound effect which always freaked me out. Well done, my friend!

    I like his new sneak mechanic... he slowly creeps up on you going in and out of invisibility... occasionally pausing when your looking at him... the eyes... they're different...

    you should make it so that sometimes you can see just his hand on the edge of a block. So it looks like hes behind it. Like mabye if hes stalking you and your in a house theres a rare animation where he opens the door and almost grips his hand around it but doesnt come through. You could also have this even if hes not there. But, the hand then creeps back behind whatever door or block it reaching/gripping around. Just to raise paranoia. But you can also have it when hes accualy stalking you. Since most of the time the hand is there but he doesnt come out, the player will start to think that even if the hand it there they are safe and its just to scare them. But when hes stalking you and he puts his hand around a block, door, theres a slighty different animation. The animation isnt super noticable but, just noticable for the player to realize theres a difference. It could be more movement than normal, or the hand comes around the door/block very fast compared to the normal animation, or mabye he peeks his head out with his hand. You could have a few of these animations that are different from the normal ones/more rare and accualy signify something. There can be some kind of build up of these with other things, and eventualy on one of these animations he accualy comes from around the door, block. That would be terrifying if you were inside your house and you saw him open the door with his hand. But idk just a thought.

    That moment at 5:30, dang, that was something. I don't know if it happened randomly, or was intentionally coded like this, but i really liked how he acted preemptively during your attempt to escape. Just outrun his victim and wait for them to fall in his hands, that was really horrifying! If this is actually NOT one of his features, it definitely should be added to the code. Such cunning behavior suits him perfectly.
    On the other hand, the moment with stalking through the window is kinda lacking. Yes, the way he stared at the player was really creepy. Even i was scared quite a lot when he suddenly appeared there for the first time. But after that, when i noticed that he just keep standing there while occasionally becoming invisible, my sense of fear gradually faded away. It might be not so obvious for the creator (since you know what else he can do) but for other players, it's really hard to be afraid when you see how he just keep bumping into the wall (even though we know that it's not completely safe within the house). That's why i think that several changes are necessary to make such moments more frightening.
    First of all, he shouldn't appear on the same place more than twice. Fist time the player would just see him slaking, but, if you notice how he appears on the same spot for the second time in the row, he should either jumpscare and disappear (if he's not very aggressive yet) or straight up start breaking into your house.
    And secondly, the stalking itself should be more pressuring. Those scary sounds that present in the video should also exist within the game. Particularly, when TOWW becomes visible within your sight for the first time since he spawned. If he's still far away, the player should hear a very quite but anxious ambient, that would enforce him to look around more carefully. The closer TOWW are in the moment of appearance, the more loud and sudden sound should be played. Finally, if you notice him right behind your door or window, there should be a proper jumpsare sound, followed by a rising noise (maybe, with some extra effects like a weak nausea or hallucinations) to forshadow high chances of being attacked afterwards (watch previous suggestion).
    This changes should prevent players from quickly getting used to the presence of TOWW and make him much more terrifying.
    But, even without those changes, this is really great mod. Still needs for some polishing, but even now it's definitely one of, if not the best, among dozens of other horror creatures. A great respect for creating such a brilliant. Wish it to become even better after the proper release of new version.
    Also, teach him how to look up and down, so that he could always keep his eyes on the player (8:35)

      Yes the part where he says, "look behind you," and then appears behind you is an actual feature. Yeah I'll see what I can do regarding him looking through the window. I will most likely just make him despawn sooner, instead of hanging around quite so long

    I kind of like the idea of TOWW having a variety of poses or animations to go along with his behaviors, so each encounter feels different. Also I do think having at least 1 or 2 more Bone snapping sound variations would be nice, so its not the same sound playing over and over again...
    Another thing you could add, is when he's behind glass staring at you he should play a sound of someone tapping on glass, very quietly

    I have a suggestion, perhaps you should add a "rest period" which would add tension as you don't really know if he's gone for a while or if he's still stalking you. There's no indication to it happening. Maybe it can happen every couple days or so, that way it also allows the player to be able to do other things for a few minutes while also being paranoid.
    You could also add something akin to a delusion where you're not really sure what's going on as you just see him off in the distance but he's not staring at you he's staring at something else entirely, but you're not really sure what he's staring at. Another thing to add to the "messing with the player" kind of motive.

    TOWWs really is becoming quite the terrifying and intimidating mob! I love how it just kept hiding like that making it really creepy & stalker like. Idk if that was a new choice fo it to behave like that but I certainly hope it is! Also I'm gonna resubmit my idea to have it slowly point at the player and grab/peek around corners because that would just add to its eerie personality!

    Possibly add it to where if he's at a window there could be a tapping sound, and if he's at a door, a knocking sound? Just like "The Knocker."

    Done very good. What if you will add him animation of him scratching the glass on the windows with his claw, when he is near the window, and making this sound play during the night sometimes, even if Watcher is not scratching it. Making player to look, isn't Watcher near his window, straring at him. Add this sound as a hallucination during the night to make player feel paranoia.

    I personally would find it quite funny if there was a random set chance for TOWW to appear at like, A window or something and as he menacingly stares you down the prowler motif plays as he just dissapears or something

    Suggestion: If the player sleeps, TOWW has a chance to spawn in front of the bed while the vision fades. If you decide to wake up, he just disappears and you,ll just think that it was a bad dream. However if you decide to sleep with The One Who Watches in front of you, he will send you to a new dimension. In this new dimension everything is like a dream, the sky is blue, you sre on a grass field, there’s a house and everything seems great. After some time TOWW should spawn, making this dream a sort of nightmare. This dream will last until day arrives or until the player dies because of TOWW. If the player is killed by him, your Inventory will remain and everything will be same same the next morning, leaving you this bad dream. (Sorryfor bad explaining/English)

    Love the new window watching addition but one little dumb concept!
    Maybe make TOWW have a chance to break the window slowly, and sometimes try to break the door down as well.
    Also maybe make an addition where if TOWW enters a home, maybe make it so it will wonder the home and the player can build hiding spots.
    Just a few concepts and if any catch your eye or sound interesting just reply!

    might be scarier if you have him check pathing to the player to see if they're behind a door (the ones with openings) and stand in front of it

    When you add the claw marks on the trees, he should also be able to claw at your windows or doors at night, maybe even breaking them once he’s more aggressive
    Also when you’re jumping from a high place into a body of water that has land nearby,(9:09) the OWW should appear for like 6 frames on the land in front of you (like right before you hit the water, or he could just watch you fall into the water) before disappearing. for that extra sense of anxiety

    I’d love for you to add in random hurt animal noises at night. He’s a killer and a stalker, and nothings more scary than thinking another players in your world, so I think him randomly making hurt cow or hurt chicken noises from afar would be terrifying.

    If you can figure out how to, try to detect if the mod is in multiplayer and make them hallucinate such that the affected player might see a friend as a monster to spook them, make it a very low chance. Another possible feature, make it tap on glass, either to spook the player or indicate its presence.

    You should make it so certain phases of him leave bloody footprints; ive seen footprints in other mods and i think they use particle effects that spawn at entities' feet and don't move

    I think it would be funny if you make scratched planks but like only on one side, then when you leaves the house your entire house would be covered in scratches, I think it would be a cool decoration block too, oh and maybe an animation when he scratches the block or strips the oak logs so when the player sees him doing it it'll be even more terrifying

    i have an idea that might actually be terrifying:
    When you are under water, there is a very low chance you will “hallucinate” his face staring at you in the foggy water, or you hallucinate him swimming towards you.

    Idea:
    1.Standing upside down
    Make him able to basicaly stand upside down on the celling soemtimes in caves or something it would be confusing and scary.
    2.Domination
    If the one who watches is on a world every monster start to run and panic and despawning or monters wont spawn at all and also by panic i mean for example:
    Creepers will explode
    Enderman will get angry and teleport away
    Warden will try to actually fight the one who watches if hes near but one who watches will brake his neck or something.
    Other mobs like skeletons and zombies will just run and despawn.
    One who watches will kill ANYTHING close near him if it wont run away.
    Animal will also run away but sometimes they are just to slow
    If you have a farm one who watches can slughter animals when you arent watching them so best option is to just hide them in closed space.
    3. Invasion
    If one who watches is invisible he can brake window or open door while ur in house and that probably mean hes inside so recommend to have any escape route.
    4.Weakness
    I mentioned a suggestion before where one who watches will turn off any light BUT there is one light that one who watches cant turn off and its a beacon wnich is hes weakness and will not be able to get close to you if are in beacons light.
    5. Trap
    One who watches can follow you to other world if there is single portal thay goes to that world but if he will follow you to nether and you destroy the only portal that goes to nether he will be stuck for some days there and if he gets out sky in underworld will turn red and he will be near your location when he gets out and will be way more aggresive but if you somehow get him stuck in the end he will also comeback but sky will turn night and have same texture as end atmosphere
    These are just suggestion that could be added in future

    You should make it so he doesnt appear disappear or turn while you look at him sometimes because him disappearing and reappearing kinda ruins the tension and he seems spawned rather than a real threat. He should move aggressively if you look at him too long, also, if there is crawling and block breaking or climbing, you should animate it because seeing a mob float up a pillar or clip through blocks above it also breaks immersion.

    Idk if minecraft can handle this, but imagine this things use a procedural animation.
    the monster maybe can detect a surface or a window and start to touch it, like tapping, hitting or scratch, and that at the same time, can make it much more organic, that can give it much more potential to a potential animation, is scary now but imagine how can be in a future and the plan who have this great creator.
    Is good to dream, and i know do something like this can be a pain.

    suggestion: as he is a murderer in da lore, do a mechanic to doors so u can close them on key.
    and with that mechanic, he will open doors if u forgot to close ur door, and attack u.

    Suggestion: in most mods the player usually can hide in the nether. We should make it so it is a rare chance he spawns in the nether but maybe make him act differently because he has never been in the nether before.

    A scary feature for TOWW is that he can stand in more then one stance, and have a Pose that’s just him watching you smiling and when you look at the direction he’s at he just disappears and have it play a low slow laughing sound. or a stance that’s just him standing but his body is twisted in weird ways, or another one is just him stalking you but not attacking you he just gets closer and closer maybe vanishing if you see him
    But idk just a scary idea since he only stands in one pose
