People always say that snowy woods are beautiful and peaceful. As someone who lives basically in the middle of snowy woods, they most certainly are not and are more like this. Pure horror.
The fear is part of what makes it so pretty! It's so ethereal and otherworldly, not just seeing so well across a snowy wooded area while it's dark out, but the fear of whatever is lurking in there just beyond your field of view. Was that an icy tree branch or is something out there?

I love how accurate this appears to the myths. IIRC, the closer you hear the wendigo the farther it is, and the farther you hear it the closer it is. It does this so you end up running TO it instead of away. They are smart no matter what version of the myth you consult, and are known to use phycological tactics while hunting. All of the noises they use while stalking you are to invoke paranoia, and they'll even mimic your loved ones to try and manipulate you. Very scary mod, very well done.

I think the antler head is super cool looking, but I feel like we should just make up a different monster for it but this point. Like the Not!Deer or something.
just stumbled upon this video and started watching, but reaaally wanna mention how it captures that lonely and isolated feeling that made minecraft scary in the early versions. plus the sounds!!!! the freaking crows!!! it adds so much atmosphere, i love it. the sounds of howling, the snow steps... so relaxing yet so unnerving at the same time!!(kinda contradictory i know ahah! but it just feels natural but you understand there's danger lurking somewhere out there ..!) also i like how laid back and chill you are, no over editing, no flashy stuff, no annoying colourful subtitles(i mean not attacking anyone who uses that, its simply not my cup of tea lol). just a chill horror mod Minecraft letsplay like back in the days. you're cool!! not only because it's cold and stuff(...badum tss? ah yeah I'll find the door myself..) anyways yes love this video already!! and the calm demeanor too!:D super refreshing to see. ok now I'll continue watching ahah

An interesting new dweller-esque creature idea is actually the "Manananggal" aswang from the Philippines and a new one that actually flies instead of sprinting towards you. It's a kind of gory vampire that is disattached to its lower half and feeds off unborn fetuses, an also cool mechanic that is actually a sign of it is that when you hear a loud flapping noise coming towards you and gradually fades away, it means it close, so when you thought it's going away from it, in reality it's gonna be after you. Like how you said that the wendigo might be on the left when it's making a sound to the right. This is one will be a cool addition to that idea of misdirection!
So you can tell when its coming by the effects you are given. The countdown on the effects shows when the wendigo will arrive, along with the phase you are in. Thank you for opening me up to this mod, its really fun!

I kinda want a horror mod that is biome-based. Nothing that seems out of the ordinary, but a biome might have a chance to be haunted by a boss monster. It gives you a chance to move when things get too spooky. However, once the monster is dead or banished, it's a safe biome again.
Snowy forests are beautiful but not peaceful at night is gets insanely cold and there could be wild predators out there plus there could be snow storms based of where the area is it can cause blockage and makes it hard to see.
As someone who lives in a forest (technically live on a mountain). This video has captured the exact feeling I have whenever I go out at night. Well done.

It doesn't warn you before it attacks(make the attack unpredictable ) 5. it looks scary 6. it can break blocks (to chase players or just want to destroy the player's house) 7. it can swim to chase players 8. It can fly to chase players 9. it can climb to chase players 10. it is strong enough to kill players(even the player has enchanted diamond armor) 11. it spawns extremely rarely since it's already very overpowered, and appearing too frequently makes it not scary 12. it can be killed by the player in survival mode( but it's very hard to kill) 13. it doesn't block your screen( not like the one who watches when jt jumpscares or the midnight lurker when it attacks) 14. It doesn't give players effects overall, make it rare, scary, strong and can do anything, but the player can actually stand a chance to fight against it.

3. it's extremely rare, so rare that you will forget that it exists, so when it appears, you have no idea. I think most dwellers spawns too frequently that it is annoying instead of scary.
4. if it is not strong, it will not be a threat when you have strong armor
@@SweetDream2346 i dweller is made to scare you and left you almost dead, if it hit kill you you don't even get scary you just get annoyed to lose all you itens 15:04 , i like the concept of it can pursue you even in water and be capable of flying but breaking blocks make it annoying

1. If it is too weak to kill you, its not a threat and it is not scary
2. I know it is strong, but it is not like it will definitely you everytime it appears. making it strong is just to make it become a threat even in the late game when players has netherite armor.
3. if it doesn't break blocks, you can just simply escape by blocking yourself in a box.
@@SweetDream2346 I'm not saying it need to be weak i just say it needs 2-3 hits to kill, so it can't just kill you without seeing him, and for the block-breaking ability you can make it break only some types of blocks or make it breaking blocks slowly to give the player time to react atleast
What other mods do you use in this, if any? Shaders? Makes it WAY more atmospheric and I want that feeling.
