The Paradox of Governor Hatfield

Bearing on of the State’s Most Famous Names, the 14th Governor Created a Name for Himself.
The name “Hatfield” is legend in American history, largely thanks to the Hatfield-McCoy Feud and in state history because of Sid Hatfield’s martyrdom in the Mine Wars. Henry Hatfield bore the name to the governor’s office and showed yet another dimension of the famous mountain family.
