(obviously with variations, it's just a joke). I love MP (and Mike Mangini). They're all great in their own way. Braad is super creative as a song-oriented drummer :) this drum solo is cool but not the most interesting, but then again, that's easy for me to say lol. It would be awesome to see it live and be a part of it. Probably the best kind of solo for this setting to be honest.
Awesome! Who cares if it ain't perfect, perfection is overrated. You looked like you were having fun and it created a great vibe, that's all that really counts. Cheers from Brazil!
Felipe Oliveira Gall its not just the fun. Fundamentally he may not be the best but his style is so unique. You can tell its him behind the set from a simple recording. He's so precise too. A drummer to remember
Super glad you shared it. Only the best musicians would post something so good and criticize themselves. Love your work! Instant fan the moment I heard you play in Leprous.
You look so happy when you play, Im jealous because I quit drumming because it caused me more anxiety to play in a bar of 25 people than it created happiness to do so, and here you are enjoying a drum solo in front of tens of thousands of people. Amazing job!
that's one of the things why we, my husband and I, enjoy the most every time we rush to the front row to watch Baard playing :D his enjoyment is contagious and well clearly the drumkit is just an extension of himself !
Are you kidding Me, Baard I'm Lost For word's, you are just Fantastic, you do what you do best and you alway's, just be your self, and that's what make's you Iconic.
great solo and great show, definitely one of the best of this year's wacken, funny how i was closer to the stage here than when i saw you on a small venue in italy
I guess its mby his drumset, so the second tomb belongs kinda to the second pedal and thats why he takes it with him on tour. But keeping both bass drums tuned on the same tune while being on tour is hard and annoying work since through vibrations at transport they get differently out of tune. Tuning one and just using a double pedal seems like a good option for a more consistant sound. However everything I just said should be taken with a grain of salt since i have actually no idea :D
greg daniel When he hits a bass drum two times, the vibration from the first hit doesnt get any room to breathe. That's why many players have two bass drums. Adds a lot more character to the kick. Yeah, some people use triggers but that's a different topic.

FINALLY! A metal drum solo that's not all about triplets and Portnoy fills.
Sarcasm?
Instead I get rudimental footwork
check out mario duplantier
What does a Portnoy fill sound like?

love your style of drumming, you are a VERY big part of the Leprous sound!

Men, come back to druming, never be afraid of playing, what matters is you are doing something you like, not of how many people is in front of you
the more you play in front of people the more you get used to doing it
Holy fuck, that snare drum sounds so perfect. Awesome solo too!
Mmm, word! Would love to have a snare like that!
"Baard Kolsta drum solo" - isn't every song he plays in a type of drum solo?
Sick drumming man! You totally smashed it. That’s one beast of a kit too!
Baard kolstad and casey cooper are the best drummers in the world I came across. Full of talent....! Well done..!
Are you kidding Me, Baard I'm Lost For word's, you are just Fantastic, you do what you do best and you alway's, just be your self, and that's what make's you Iconic.
Sick drum solo bro!!!!
Baard buddy, u r an ABSOLUTE BEAST. Thank you for doing this.
Your friend from Bratislava.
Great job, as always!
0:26-0:50 Reminds me A LOOOT of Desert Tornado by The Aristocrats. Needless to say, it's badass.
Love this dude! What an inspiration.

My air drumming is on point today.
I found you today and I feel at ease now that I am subscribed. xD
Fy fan!!! 😍😍😍
That was sick man
Damn, Baard! What did that kit ever do to you?! 😂🤣
Лучший барабанщик последних лет
Awesome solo Baard!
There is a common rhythm in a lot of his solos
And that's what's called style!!
He evolved wayyyy more nowadays … check out their new Leprous album … dude is a beast now!!!

🖤
1:30 : Is it a Terry Bozzio tribute ? ;)
that snare drum holy fucking shit
"I know it's not perfect". Naah, FU man. I was a happy man if I could play my instrument just the tenth as good as you do.
Seems he was just filling out time for a favorite band of mine either to shorten their set due to a lack of tunes or due to technical issues
:D Nice man ))
Serious question. Why have two bass drums if you're going to use a double pedal? I never get why some people do that.
Looks cool.
it definitely looks cool, but if youre going to go to all the hassle of having the second drum, at least use it Im thinking

Akshit Jha but thats not the thing here since he doesnt actually hit the other bass drum because he still uses a Double pedal on one of the basses
i feel samba in here
Отлично!
He must be a fan of Marco Minnemann 😀
You know seems like he can't drum and instead he can drum the hell out of the drum. Ahaha nice short solo.
why would you mix a bass drum This loud?
why wouldn't you
Нифига растет парень
New drummer for mudvayne. :D
He reminds me of Elroy casagrande
I thought so too, not quite as technical though.
Jazz
war for territory !
Hei Bård du er god til og spille trommer. Kan du sjekke ut min UA-cam kanal. Den heter Pettersen playzYT. Jeg spiller litt trommer der
gesichtskirmes aber gut
