Written by Freddie in the mid 80’s, Barbara Valentin always said it was about their break up. The video is from a later time. Barbara also said “It’s a Hard Life” was about them as well, she’s in the video.

Yes he knew he was sick but he was not officially diagnosed yet. We knew something was wrong with him the videos showed he was not healthy but he kept giving us great music. He like Elvis gave us everything til their last breath these two icons will forever be in our hearts. TCB⚡️

I thought I had heard everything Freddie Mercury sang; I was wrong. This is so beautiful and sad.
Fred hadn't even been diagnosed yet, this was on his Mr Bad Guy album in 1985, they put the video together in 2019 two white blood cells showing what happens, coinciding with the release of the box set Never Boring, don't read too much into any of Queen songs, not everything has been written by Fred all four would write different songs and he kept writing until a couple of months before he passed away, didn't get around to recording everything, but left a lot of songs which the remaining members have put on albums

This song was originally written by Freddie for Barbara Valentin who was his lover. This music video was made to promote The Mercury Phoenix Trust. Anyway after I've read Jim Hutton's biography "Mercury and Me" it hits different.

This song was written by Freddie Mercury before he was diagnosed with AIDS and released on his solo album Mr. Bad Guy in 1985. This video was done in 2019 to raise money for the Mercury Phoenix AIDS Trust Foundation that was established by the band etc after his death.
You obviously have a tender spot in your heart for the issue/illness of AIDS.... If you haven't already seen it, the movie, "Philadelphia" with Tom Hanks and Denzel Washington will blow you away.💕

Such a beautiful reaction, this is one of my favorite songs. I miss our dear, sweet Freddie every day. And this song in his voice, along with this animation video makes me cry every time. He was with Jim Hutton, his husband when he died. I absolutely love the book, mercury and me, it’s written by Jim. I love to listen to the audiobook of it. It has a beautiful insight into their relationship.
