Had an idiot with a stanced car almost broadside me because it was no longer controllable. Then of course the little prick had to start getting racist but apparently was too stupid to call me a "half-breed" and instead called me an "N-word S-word" after putting his MAGA Moron Hat on. The confrontation lasted for miles until he realized there was a Patrol Car behind him...

There is a Tesla in my area (Kentucky) that has a "Coal Keeps the Lights On" official license plate. At least he's honest about where his electricity comes from.
If Kentucky got their act together he could get it from more renewable energy sources like we do in California. Or maybe he has solar panels at his house and it’s an ironic license plate.

@@craigcampbell1843 I don't think there's room for MASSIVE wind farms in Kentucky like there is in Kentucky. Especially the eastern part of the state.
@@brodyleephotography2177 wind farms don’t require land. They can also be installed in the ocean or in a lake. And there’s always solar. I know Kentucky has parking lots. Here in California every school and college parking lot has solar panels suspended above them like a roof on poles now which not only provides the campus with power but also keeps your car from getting hot, all without taking up any space that could be used for something else. Eventually I’m sure they will do that in shopping centers and at malls too. All new buildings and houses here are required to come with them now too so you can charge your EV in California with solar power at home or at work or at school without even putting any strain on the grid. Kentucky also has rivers. They could use hydro. Hell. I used to work in nuclear power. Tennessee is right next door to Kentucky. They use a lot of hydro power there and half their state’s energy comes from two nuclear power plants. There is no reason an entire state should still be running on coal. The radiation released when it’s mined. The air pollution. If you’re worried about jobs lost, I’m sure a coal miner could learn how to do roofing and installing solar panels. Probably make more money doing it too. It’s ridiculous that we are still using coal now that there are so many cleaner alternatives. Kentucky is at least 65-70 years behind the times, and seemingly proud of it given the license plate.

I have lived in South Carolina since '07, and have never seen one of those trucks like that. Lift kits, yes. Lights in the wheel wells, yes. As for me, the favorite of my 3 vehicles (2009 T&C, '98 F150 Lariat 4x4, 2000 P71 Crown Vic) is the Crown Vic. That is what I call a "real car." It's built to last, with heavier duty build all around. This one never had the light rack, spotlight, or cage. Silver, with the Chrome hub covers. (Don't tell the other two, they'll react with "Oh really. I think I'll need a brake job.").
This is a lame attempt to emulate gassers from the past.

My uncle put a WRX hood scoop on his 1983 Subaru Brat (Brumby if you're in Australia) and it actually looks pretty good. It used to be painted and decaled to look like the 2007 Subaru WRX STi World Rally Team car.

I saw an ad for one already. If I’m remembering correctly, they wanted an extra $8-$10K for the rusted wrap. On a brand new car!! Nah, I’ll pass. I’m not a Mopar guy anyway, but paying 4-5 figures extra to make it look like a flood victim, just nope.

@@aerodrom2557 yeah, I know. I was adding my 2 cents about the ad I saw. Again, not a big Mopar guy, the poor build quality is part of that. Used to drive a Ram Van at a previous job. Wasn’t my choice, just what the boss gave me. Left me stranded with wasted transmission at least twice in six months. After the second lost day (at least he was a stand up guy and paid me for the day anyway) he picked up an E250 Ford. Best day of my life at that job. Never had a problem with the Ford.

There's a big popular trend here on the east coast, specifically southeast that likely never caught on in Cali. It's putting a golden crown on your dashboard. So many cars now have this that I caved and got one; before you laugh be aware that they are functional. They actually are fancy air fresheners that come in a variety of scents. So over here in Florida, we drive like Royalty while smelling like lemons! Thought you'd like to know.

I totally agree on the Tesla vanity plates one. They can't stop rubbing it in and the jokes are overused. One of the most memorable ones I have seen was an "XKIXGAS" on a Tesla Model X.
Some of them make me want to just get one that says "FUELON." and stick it on my Bolt EV.

Didn't they really mention that you can patina your car in like one day. Just sand out the paint to steel, put some baking soda on it and spray water. Now cover it for the night and boom its rusted.

My father had a car doll when he went to car shows with his '67 GTO. Always creeped me out. Then senior year, 50 of us went on a Bahamas Cruise and we brought it along. He was then named Jake and we all had shifts for taking care of him. Funniest thing I've seen, the girls even bought him new outfits lol
In my area there is a lady who has a VW Beetle who made her car look like a wind-up toy. It has a moving wind-up connected to the trunk making her car look like a toy. It's motorized which makes me think she has another battery in the trunk. Really cool but weird lol!

Tesla owners will get a plate that says "Lol Gas" but are quick to hide that repair/service bill when there car is no longer covered by warranty.

The squatting trucks thing pisses me off more than HID/LED headlights normally do. HID/LED headlights might blind you at night, but those trucks with their butts dumped on the ground WILL blind you since most of them don't bother to re-aim their headlights at all.

Most tires I ever bought had white letters on one side and black on the other so you could choose which side is mounted out. Always thought it was leftover thing from white walls a lot of old tire shop guys call the white letters white walls. I always mount them with the white showing I like it lol

A car with extreme camber once passed us, I had to send my literal Boomer dad an article on it to get him to believe that people were intentionally doing that and that it wasn't a mechanical issue.
Not gonna lie, i like the way a slightly stanced car looks. With just a little camber, not too much.
I know people do it on purpose, I simply don't want to believe it. OF all the the silly mods on this list this one annoys me the most
@@kapiicefruit It makes about as much sense as the gigantic wheels trend on old G.M. B Bodies. If you hit a pothole like that, it better not be on a highway. At least some of those gigantic wheel cars have nice colorful paintjobs that I enjoy seeing, though.

You do this, everyone laughs at you, and you're dropping a grand every other month on new tires. It's an eyesore that sorts itself out--either the owner realizes how dumb they are, or they run out of cash and have to do less stupid mods.

@@arbyfiles I've probably seen more but I do see those vanity plates on most of the ones I've seen. There are a few in people who own them in my district and most of them have something like "e powa" or no gas or something like that.
Not near me they just aren’t really economical there’s no fast charges within 40 minutes and gas is cheap

There's a patina method that involves spraying on metal flakes and carefully applying oxidizing agents. Now you can have a real patina even on plastic cars.

near where I live, there was an old man who loved horns so every time he found a horn that could be attached to his classic truck, it was on his truck. When he died his family tried to sell it and can't so now once in a while I get to see the sight of a 60s ford truck with at least 150 horns screwed onto the body

i remember at a car show - father day 2014. There was a crying doll thing propped on a bumper on some ratrod. anyway, I was walking alongside cars. the original owner saw it and just punted it right into the street. it did a vertical flight and dropped straight down. I was laughing so hard. because it landed RIGHT in front of some old guy and he stopped, looked at it, looked at the sky. i guess someone tried to prank the ratrod owner with a crying doll thing. one of best memories.
I'm 68. From 18 to 21, I had a 68 Mustang with a black vinyl roof. So it had to have offset rims and oversize rear tires . It then had to have air shocks, with helpers. Aaaand, of course, glass packs. The dash, console, and back shelf were covered in gold shag. I installed a good stereo with four speakers (playing ELP at 11) and a front/rear fader. Nice watches are kind of niche I guess, but automatic mechanical action (or automatic action) watches are worth a big price tag. Heirloom quality, never have to buy a battery, rarely loses time. It’s the kind of watch a collector wants, and the kind grandkids remember always being on gramps’ wrist. But if it’s not your thing it’s not your thing man, definitely could buy some parts for your car instead.

The doll thing is so strange.. I ran into a company in the Seattle area that creates "rust and fade patina" on your car not through painting or wraps but by using different acids and chemicals to eat away at the finish and metal of your car on purpose. It creates years worth of rust and neglect in a mater of hours. The down side is they have horribly toxic chemicals that then have to be deposed of somehow. Hopefully they are doing it properly and not down a drain.
you should make a video on Houston car culture. They have modified vehicles called Slabs, which are low riders outfitted with elbow rims, glossy paint and a lot of neon

The wheel camber thing is a very big thing where I live at least with teenagers and such. And I cannot fathom at all how it would be practical on a car that has never seen a racetrack lol. They just cruise around town with wheels that’ll wear out on the 10% of the tire that’s exposed to the ground lmao
