She moves on to try Lay’s Layers 3-Cheese flavored, which she says to “skip it.” She finishes her tasting with Cleveland Pickle’s Spicy Dill pickles, which she says needs a beer chaser because they are deliciously hot (Fiaaaah.)

UPDATES: Kathleen gives updates on another Capitol rioter who hired an Uber to leave the incident, and Vladimir Putin’s expensive assets.
“HOLY SHIT THEY FOUND IT”: Kathleen is amazed to read about the discovery of an underground city in Turkey, and scientific evidence emerges to identify the biggest earthquake in human history.
OLDEST RARE EXISTING SCOTCH AUCTIONED IN VANCOUVER: Kathleen reads an article announcing that 2 bottles of the world’s oldest and most exceptionally rare single-malt Scotch whiskey are expected to be sold in Vancouver at the end of April. Only 250 bottles of Glenlivet 80-Year-Old Gordon and MacPhail are available in the world, and a British Columbia store secured bottles 100 and 108. The auction will start with the current record baseline price set for a rare “forgotten” cask of whiskey that sold for $1M at auction.
JET BLUE REJECTION: Kathleen laughs as she reads an article about an overbooked JetBlue flight to Cancun where passengers were offered $10,000 in JetBlue credit to give up their seat, and nobody took it.
NEW BUG SPECIES HONORS TAYLOR SWIFT: Kathleen loves Taylor Swift (“Tay-Tay”) and is thrilled to read an article announcing that an entomologist who is also a Taylor fan has named a new millipede species after the singer.
SURVIVAL SLEEPING: Kathleen reads the results of a study that advises when you sleep in unfamiliar surroundings, only half your brain is getting a good night's rest. The finding, reported in the journal Current Biology, helps explain why people tend to feel tired after sleeping in a new place. It suggests people have something in common with birds and sea mammals, which frequently put half their brain to sleep while the other half remains on guard.
MONEY CAN BUY YOU HAPPINESS: Kathleen reads that Wharton psychologists have determined that people who make $75K or more per year lead a generally happier life than those who make less (duh.)
WHITE HOUSE PAINTING PREPS FOR AUCTION: Kathleen reads that the famous painting Washington Crossing the Delaware that once hung in the White House is to be auctioned by Christies, and is estimated to fetch $15M.
SOUTH CAROLINA FIRING SQUAD: Kathleen reads an article advising that South Carolina's planned execution by firing squad is on hold for now. It has been more than a decade since the last firing squad execution in the U.S. The state of Utah carried out all three such executions in the nation since 1976.
CARPET CLEANER SPEAKS 24 LANGUAGES: Kathleen is amused to read about the overachieving nature of a Maryland-based carpet cleaner who speaks 24 languages, officially termed a “hyperpolyglot.”
RED WOLF PUPPIES BORN: Kathleen is excited to read that US Fish & Wildlife staff in North Carolina welcomed a litter of 6 red wolf pups into the world earlier this week. It's the first time in 4 years that a pair of endangered red wolves gave birth to a litter in the wild.

I was in Kandahar at the Kandahar air field base. it was like a little city. Then went to the KPRT (Kandahar provincial reconstruction team), now that was roughing it.
The 10K for getting off the plane seemed to be a credit for future flights, not cash you could spend in other ways- like the private plane momma termite mentioned. They were traveling termites, vacationing termites!

I spit coffee out of my nose driving down the road listing to you on xm talking about the missing airliner. You are the only comedian that makes me laugh out loud. I have seen Lou and Ron and even met Ron backstage. You have them all beat.

When I was first listening to the pubcast today and you were reading Queen Stevie's concert schedule I heard you say Salt Lake,Utah, but I thought you were reading your schedule!!! I jumped off my chair and did my happy dance and tried to find it on your website but no! I went back and listened again and of course I heard correctly that Stevie would be here. Your pause, and concern that SLC might not be the best venue for Stevie is an understandable response but Stevie went to some of her High School years at Judge Memorial Catholic High School and she is remembered fondly. I think that she will easily sell out. And I believe that you would too!!! I do wish that you would consider it! You come too Paddles! My friend, termite hairdresser, and Kathleen Madigan super fan, Judy, and I have been your promoters here in Happy Valley for years, and we saw you in Reno at your first concert since COVID . that was last July. We flew there, spent the night at the hotel where we tried to find you in the casino at video poker and snuck into the venue in the afternoon looking for a glimpse, left gifts at the desk and happily wore our termite t shirts home after a night of laughing laughing laughing! I haveheard your jokes about going on a tour of Temple Square, Teamster Bob with the incredulous question about Joseph Smith receiving the Golden Plates at the same time Geronimo was in the area. But we have surprisingly become the location of the largest Pride Parade in the US, (not the SLC you remember)and you are allowed to order actual drinks at an actual bar and my very own son makes a wonderful beer that I would gladly deliver to your hotel when you come. (Name of the brewery is Ketos which means gratitude in Finnish. Must try their Coffee and Cream Ale! An awesome breakfast beer!) We have come a long way with the help of the Catholic Community and their support of local bars. Not to mention High West Distillery in Park City, just a 25 minute drive ! So I think that you would be glad you did and hey, if it's good enough for Queen Stevie...
Decorah is in the northeast corner of Iowa.
It’s the home of Vesterheim - The National Norwegian-American museum and Luther College. It’s also not far from the Laura Ingalls Wilder museum in Burr Oak. My family drove through many times when I was a child in Minn. on way to visit my grandma in Iowa.

Mountain View is on the Peninsula south of San Francisco. The venue is called the Shoreline amphitheater. It’s a former land fill that was converted into an outdoor concert venue. No vineyards 😂

I was on vacation with my family once and they offered a free round trip anywhere and put me on the next flight. It was Orlando to LaGuardia. Ditched my mom dad siblings and all their kids. My flight was to jfk. I landed and got my free transportation to LaGuardia. As we pulled in front of the American terminal my family was coming out the door to get in their cars.
I've read before that they have several firing squad "volunteers" so the shooters don't know exactly who killed the person. The other guns have blanks. I guess it's better for the shooters' mental health that way...

RE: the Stevie tickets in Salt Lake, the ticket brokers here are ripoffs. The tickets are liable to be pricey. I’d die to see her in concert, but the last time I tried to get tickets here to see her, I died from sticker shock.

Oooooo, doing research, the venue where Stevie is performing SUCKS. I saw Santana there a few years ago. There are two roads in. You have to head out hours in advance, to get caught in hours long traffic snarls. We got in just in time to hear the last song performed by the Doobie Brothers, who opened for Santana. We ended up parking in a gravel parking lot and walking through a mile of gravel before we got in. It was miserable.
While I am aware you have a career to attend to these always seem to end to quickly and there need to be several hours long please and thank you!

Love to listen to you and think you're hilarious! Discovered you during the pandemic and found your humor wildly funny put in a nice calming way. However, Paddles background laugh is so abrasive and frequent along with her constant "jokes", she's distracting and makes it hard to hear you. I wish you were solo on the pubcasts, almost like a newscaster going through the interesting bits of the last week.
Paddles is Kathleen's Ed McMahon and her tech, so without there's no show, lots love Paddles, sorry you are a bothered termite🤷♀️
