  • This Bathroom Leaning Ladder Shelf project was inexpensive, fun, and an easy project to make. In this video I go over the steps required to make this project and also the materials and tools that I used. I liked the way that it turned out. All dimensions of this project can be changed or adjusted to meet your requirements or preferences. The sizes used for this project should be suitable for most all standard sizes of toilets. This project was great for adding a little extra storage space in a bathroom and can be made by all woodworking skill levels. The project basically consists of 3 shelves (10”, 8”, and 6”) attached to 2 rails that are cut at 10 degrees to lean toward the wall.

My wife just told me yesterday she wanted a ladder shelf for her bathroom and this fits the bill perfectly. Thanks for sharing and the step by step instructions.

This is great! The one answer I haven't been able to find is at what angle the bottom of the sides need to be cut in order for the ladder to lean level to the floor. Could you please reply? Thank you.

I would suggest just 1 inch screws or 1 1/4, because my 1.5 inch came through. Other than that, thank you so much for this tutorial. My shelf turned out great!

How do you know the angle to cut the top to be flush against the wall? I didn't understand that part.

Do you fasten it to the wall at all? or do you just trust that it won't slide out?

Good video, I'm going to use this to make the same shelf for my wife. Can you turn the music down next time? I turn the volume up to hear you talk and then the music is way too loud!!!!

Hopefully this is taken as constructive criticism... You have to fix the audio levels on this... The music is so loud it makes your ears bleed, so when you speak after we turn the music down, you're at whisper levels.
