The guys on the lift wears ski blades, But the guy who is doing slalom has normal slalom skis. Its the camera false fish eye effect that makes seem that are smaller. The Hintertux is based on an Austrian glacier. So the black terrain you see its pure ice! Well done for the athlete. Difficult conditions. What country are they from?

Not quite, that's called a delay gate and you have to go around the same side of both the red and the blue

that looks rewally wide open like a 13 meter set! with almost zero offset....but that could also be because of the camera
