    If you're new to motion graphics, design, etc. You now have a behind the scenes realization that most of what we do is with metaphorical duct tape. Whatever gets you over the finish and makes the client happy. And my god, if you're young, we had to read books and order DVD's before UA-cam came online to figure stuff out. Or have a a kind experienced person, but they were usually old curmudgeons and protected their knowledge. What a time to be alive.

    Great work and thank you for sharing! I just discovered EarthStudio this week. Your project it is way above my 'pay grade'..I will try to do this but I guess I will take a month to replicate your work and 2 notebooks in the process (as I will certainly smash a couple ones with my frustration. lol).

    Great to watch someone doing his work who really knows how to! I think i have to dive deep into AE and need a more rescent computer for this. So many layers in a video would definetly kill my 8 year old machine which was state of the art than. First model of intel core i7 - Nehalem architecture with 6 GB of RAM :-) Still good for photo editing and creating 3d with cinema 4d :-)

    Your video is quite lengthy...how can we utilize 3d tracking in such large video...it takes so much time...or we can just crop small part of video, convert it to pre-comp and then merge with the ongoing full video as a top layer tp show our 3d tracked video? Is this possible or am i missing somthing?

      There isn't any 3D tracking. The 3D data (camera) is imported from the jsx file

      Using a 3D track point of Trafalgar Square, I created a pre-comp from the video that is to be projected on the screen in After Effects (3 actually, 1 long, 1 curved, 1 short). Set pre-comps to 3D layer. The two straight 3D video sections have normal 3D settings whereas the curved section has geometry curvature set to 50% & 16 segments. Each of the pre-comps are then cropped to the left, middle (curve), and right portions of the video. The 3 objects are then aligned to the track point and each other. I'll be making some videos on using 3D track points in the near future - stay tuned. The applications of this new tool are pretty awesome.

      @@imagiscope thank you so much for an precise answer. Really looking forward on your upcoming videos. My personal experiences with 3D Tracking Points from GES aren't good. My nullobjects in AE are always kinda 'swimming'. But your example shows me that they seem to work pretty well as your logo is 100% stable. So it seems I'm still doing sth wrong. Still learning this absolutely amazing GES and I love it.

    Hello, can I use google earth animations in my UA-cam after revising with After effects like you did? Doesn't it have any copyright problem??

      The Google Earth videos do have some rules for using. Go to the Google Earth website to find more information.

    Is there any chance to apply your technique in DaVinci?

    • @imagiscope
      @imagiscope  4 роки тому

      Most likely the same technique. I'm not familiar with the DaVinci tool set, but I'd assume that they have color keying and inverse image, which is the basis of the technique.
