The music they do is all based around mostly true crimes, and in this case a very strange disappearance/death. A majority of the lyrics in their songs are facts from the specific crime/case. While people might find it disturbing, I find SKYND to be insanely talented and artistic geniuses.

Absolutely love Skynd. You need to react to all their songs!! Like others have said all their songs are about true crime/serial killers. It's truly an art form. The music and visuals are amazing. And the lyrics are spot on. The song titles are the name of the person or event. I recommend researching the title before watching if you don't recognize the name.
I just watched the netflix documentary about Elisa Lam. Truely a weird and bizarre case. Skynd is awesome. They put so much research into their lyrics and little hints in the videos about the cases. Gary Heidnik by them is my favorite!

this was elisa the girl they found in a water tank on the rooftops of a hotel cecil, a hotel which serial killer richard ramirex worked at in the 80s. also the counting numbers is based off a japanese haunted folk lore dealing with elevators.
Elisa Lam was a student who was mysteriously found dead floating in the water tank on top of the hotel she was staying at, long after she went missing. Supposedly she died while playing "The Elevator Game" (4, 2, 6, 2, 10, 5, 1) where if you make it all the way through the floors it takes you to an "other" version of the building you are in. The strange thing about the case is that they have footage of her running away and hiding on the elevator from something none of the other cameras picked up in the hotel, and NO FOOTAGE of her climbing to the roof where the water tank she was found in, was located. She was also suspected to have mental health issues with undiagnosed schizophrenia. There is a great documentary on the case and the movie Dark Water is loosely-based upon it, taking the more supernatural route. SKYND does true crime industrial/ electronic dance music. The numbers she’s singing are the floor numbers that Elisa Lam pushed in the elevator when she was seen on the security cams before she died. Jim Jones is really good too. Columbine is rough, but good.
I really like Jim Jones. I think it's my favorite from SKYND, and her singing in Richard Ramirez is fantastic.

They're like musical true crime documentarians.
This is industrial as a music style, which is basically a crossover genre between electronic and metal. This one's a bit more on the leaning side of metal over the electronic side, but still industrial. I could list so many industrial bands to compare them to, but vocally, they have some similarities to Die Antwoord, yet I do feel the dark themes and music compare to more dark bands like Psyclon Nine. If it's not something you listen to normally, that's cool, to each their own, it's definitely not everyone's cup of tea. And of course, Skynd is known mostly for the fact that all their songs are based on real events, mostly killers, but at least real events that ended with death of some kind. All their songs so far are named after the killers, except Elisa Lam, Columbine and Bianca Devins, with Bianca Devins and Elisa Lam being the victims in these events instead, and Columbine being the name of the school and essentially the name of the event that happened.
Since Elisa Lam didn't really have concrete evidence to support any claims made to the cause of her death, there's really no straight answer. It's neat to see the Elevator Game theory in a video though. But just know, if you get interested in this band, there's always a backstory to every song.

Skynd is a performance artist based in the UK. In most videos which are truly superb musical interpretations, she appears as 3 different characters The Angel of Death the Observer and The Demon. Research the case of Elisa Lam and the elevator game for more clarity.

Skynd is a woman, and she's deep and very dark- check out " COLUMBINE"., The high school massacre. You'll b Shocked. Skynd does an incredible, scary video about it, and it will blow ur mind. She also has one called- "Chris Watts", which is horrific as well. Skynd does only creepy scary unusual dark work. She's very talented but they are all on the dark side. I highly recommend watching the high school one asap. Maybe I Will join patreon. I just subscribed as well, cause at least u seem to b open to it. Thanks!
I love all their songs, I think the hardest one for me is 'Chris Watts' especially cuz they use the audio from those beautiful & precious little girls. Being a mother myself I would never do something like that, plus the fact that he just dumped his daughter's bodies in huge oil tanks. It's absolutely disgusting that people, not just him but ANYONE does anything to any child. I'm tearing up just thinking & talking about it.
Eliza was a Canadian student who somehow ended up d.e.a.d in the water tower of the Cecil Hotel in California! The only reason they found her is because people complained that the water was black!
