I went with the Honda pioneer 1000 Trail. That transmission is almost unbelievable. It shifts ultra fast when it needs to on full throttle take off. The manual mode is nice for cruising two tracks. You can select a higher gear at lower speed to keep the engine rpm's down for quieter cruising. Can't do that with a belt.
Had a Honda pioneer 1000 great mileage , had overheating problems in the desert with a clean rad and toooo much-dust coming in under the doors . Otherwise great machine . I think Honda can do better , their still relying on the name for sales
I got the 22 Deluxe and could not be happier. All the upgrades they did on the 22 make at a far superior machine over the 16-21 model. Can’t beat the 6sp DCT trans. Very stout machine
I have had 3 Honda pioneers so far , great for hauling wood ,slow trail riding . Not a very stable machine on gravel roads or higher speeds . I have had several problems with them just like any other machine. I think Honda could do better , from the rattling doors ,having to stop to shift into 4wd , noisy transmissions because of spurs cut gears .
The RMax isn’t made to compete with the Kawasaki KRX or Polaris RZR. It’s a design like the Polaris General. But, it ends up in a class by itself because it does sport and utility better than anything else. Better than the General for utility and as good as a KRX in sport.
I’m surprised that the YXZ 1000SS wasn’t on the list. Got a 2017 YXZ 1000 SS road it hard. No problems at all. 8 years no issues I think it should be on the list.. but every one has their opinion..
We all just going to pretend cfmoto doesn't exist? Just bought a 1000 sport r and I'm really impressed with its build quality and price, looks awesome too
@@thatfarmingguy8185 Thanks I will redirect the air intake in back center of driver and passenger seat, any other issues? I haven't had any on my 2023 z1000 but it's still on the break in period.
700km and no issues, I haven't re routed air but I clean the filter often the oil and oil filter I plan on changing often. I found oilfilter on lazada here in Thailand for $3 and in the wet season for 6 months it rains everyday so no problems then.
Polaris is not worth a sh1t. I bought a brand new RZR. I took it out on a road by my house and didn't go 100 yards and the fule pump went out. I tuck it to the shop witch was 56 miles away to get it fix. Got it back home and drove up the road about 1/4 miles and the belt came off.after having that fixed. I was going down to road again and the hole clutch broke. Got that fixed and started to take it for another ride and all kinds of sh1t came apart in the back end. I couldn't go on and on but I'm gonna stop here..
I own a 2022 Maverick but, the XP 1000 and Pro XP are on top of my short list. Their chassis are superior imo and are easy to drive fast. We rode the North Eastern trail system with a new KRX. That's also a nice machine but, it's 500lbs heavier and feels a bit underpowered. What is your beef with Polaris? Mechanical issues?
@@fj400007 I do a lot of riding with a lot of sxs. xp1000 sucks. Pro is good but way over priced. Can-am x3 ds is superior to the xp1000 in every way. Way more torque, better power delivery, more hp, better suspension more reliable. You name it. I’ve seen people have way too many issues with the xp1000s. Mainly belts and clutches.
All the manufacturers are all on par as far as reliability goes. All the manufacturers are all plagued with stop sale recalls. Honda was on the top of the list. The Honda Talon is the worst performing SxS. Great motor and transmission, garbage chassis. I like Yamahas, good luck getting one. Our SxS orders were always getting cancelled. If you want a machine that will make you crap in your pants the Pro XP is the machine. The Kawasaki is a big lumbering machine. For as big as it is the cockpit isn’t as roomy as I expected it to be. The Honda Pioneer 1000/5 is a great machine. The rear seats are not fit for Prisoners.
Pioneer back seats are in fact made specifically for mother in laws. You will need only take her out one time. After which every time you politely ask her to join you again, she in Turn will politely decline. Well done Honda, well done.
Ten-year belt life warranty?? Tell that to the poor sucker stuck in the wilderness. Fine print says they'll give you another $25 belt. Check it out. Polaris is the same. Forget belts.
I hated all the engine and belt noise on my Yamaha 660 Grizzly, heat too, probably try something with gears before buying another frigin snowmobile transmission powered vehicle
Yamaha uses an always engaged belt. The power is applied in the transmission in an oiled clutch. This greatly reduces the wear on the belt. The clutch assembly is susceptible to failure if the operator loads it too much without actually moving.

Also belts create a failing point instead of the rear end. So I’d rather have the belt then the rear end going out

These are all first class machines, the only view I get of them is when they disappear in the view mirror of my can am maverick x3 max rr
Surprised to not see the Yamaha YXZ 1000r on the list. Mine is built so strong and has been so reliable i can't believe it.

The Yamaha was the superior machine for the money. But that changed in 2023, $$$ the mark up is absurd. Gotta go with the Honda
Yes the market has been changing pricing like crazy!

So far it’s amazing, we’ll see.
Es pronto para meter los segway?? Funcionan muy muy bien y están dando mucho de que hablar!
What brand do you guys recommend I still don’t know which brand to pick ?
Honda obviously.
Ive had a rzr, arctic cat, and a krx the krx has been by far the best machine I have owned.
Most of the mark up in Yamaha is freight and dealer prep my dealer doesn’t charge any of that most dealers up charge machine rmax is king
Well to be fair you are getting something from the other side of the world!
A polaris blew up and started Halsey National Forrest on fire this Oct 2 2022;
I always carry 2 fire extinguishers in case I see a pooplaris on fire
I used to carry 2 fire extinguishers on my rzr.

Oooooookay
Since these machines only have a gas and brake, do you back them up to give the rubber band (belt) power.
I have a Polaris XP 1000 and reverse is chain drive. Forward H, L, is belt. Wierd but it works just fine.
@@huemongus3742 the belt is still driving the vehicle. It's the connection between the engine And transmission regardless of what gear your in.
THE RZR and CAN AM are in the shop far more then Japanese bikes. Go look at the service departments before buying one.

The 660 ran terribly hot. Just the way they are built. Don't think it was anything to do with the belt and clutches.
There was a car dealer that advertise free tires for life but charge 150 to mount and balance them the tire cost about 90 dollars at the time
