It's not only restricted to Afghanistan alone , muslim women are ill treated in almost all muslim dominated countries. Malaysia and Indonesia a little bit exception. Now time has come that muslim women should be liberated from the clutches of men. And those who do not co-operate with this must be isolated from rest of the contries.

I love you Malala you’re phenomenal and bringing women’s rights to the forefront of people’s minds in countries where women don’t have any rights

Things must be really bad in Afghanistan, If Afghan women are trying to sneak into Iran, which is no picnic for the women there too. I suppose it all stems from one wretched book.

Maybe all the feminists in the West should finally stand up for women who are truly oppressed and liberate the women in these medieval cultures around the world?

They are though, some just have it worse than others but all women are still oppressed in a way even in the west, especially now that Trump, a misogynist, got re-elected.

They are too busy arguing about a non-existent pay gap to bother looking at the incredible suffering and rights abuse happening to women elsewhere

What's the name of the film?

    • @Roberta-q1q

      _Bread & Roses_ .
Had to extrapolate it from the transcript, then verified w/ imdb.
Hostess said "Watch at bread and roses" or perhaps "watch - ah - bread and roses". If it was "watch @breadandroses" maybe that's a link.
Due out Nov 22, 2024. In Pashtu. _Chleba i Róż_ .
Director is Sahra Mani, who may have been the woman on the left. Reading ahead in transcript made me think she was Jennifer, but she was speaking that to thank Jennifer (with a glance to each) and Malala (Yousafzai) for the publicity, so I think that was director Sahra Mani and Times radio interview host is Jennifer.
Run time 1 hour 30 minutes.
Guests say 3 Afghan women filmed their existence.
Imdb says film produced [assembled & edited] in USA.
Malala asks that we all recommend or mention _Bread & Roses_ in our social media, and keep the women of Afghanistan in our conversations, as well as in our hearts and in our prayers.

I find Times Radio deficient of detail in description on title page.
I'm spoiled by seeing and hearing hosts and guests named in most of the videos I watch.
I also expect some redundancy in promotion of the subject leading to the interview! So many times our hostess says "the film", and it was like pulling teeth to get at the title! It goes by once, quickly, near end, and I checked two sources to be sure I got it. I call my first language English, but I hear in American (US).
I'd want to hear guests introduced at start. It wasn't the woman with the radio show who dropped names at the end, and she who did didn't mention her own.
I must find about a molecule of tolerance if this was clipped from a longer program, but a quality, less slap - dash production could have spliced the info onto the start.
Just before this I watched a Times Radio piece wherein Elon Musk's dad ranted about how correct, centrist, and brilliant his son is, and neither description nor transcript was helpful reminding me what his given name is.
A modest dig into the comments reminded me. After someone calling him "Adolph Musk, Sr" didn't ring a bell, then "Errol" did.
I recall seeing Times Radio on a list of media whose journalistic objectivity may be compromised by their right wing ownership.
I don't recall specifics of their owner(s), but I noticed it was not the London Times newspaper.

Here's an idea, why don't we keep our noses out of other people's business for once.
Then we wouldn't feel obliged to take in millions of economic migrants.

So if you're hurt or injured, or if you're house is on fire, or there's some natural disaster happening to you, we should just ignore you. 🤨🤔😑🙄

The British fought 3 wars against Afghanistan between 1839 and 1919, with the Afghans defeating the Brits 2-1. Failing to heed the lessons of history, the USSR thought they could do what the British failed to do, but the Soviet Union too succumbed to defeat during their misadventure from 1978 to 1989. The U.S. with all their might, along with many Western powers, arrogantly believed their mission would be none other than victory, but yet another catastrophic miscalculation lead to their utter humiliation and defeat in 2021, after a protracted near 20 year saga.
The West will not rest on their laurels until Islam is defeated, so now they are utilising Malala (unbeknownst to her) to front "gender apartheid" in Afghanistan. The West is ever so "modern", "cultured", "civilised" and "advanced" that they have given equity to women with the onset of gender-neutral public toilets. The UK Prime Minister is on the record for not knowing the definition of what a woman is, yet the West projects their warped ideology of woman's rights across the Islamic World.
